Such a fun collab with Eva! Very nice figure, I'm not great with painting either, so would have been nice to get the Rei figure with some colours at least. Wonder if they could split the figure into colour separated parts that you have to assemble yourself, guess they could but that would add to the cost of the kit. Oh well!
That'd definitely be ideal, but this is pretty typical for Hasegawa -- giving the builder the chance to make more of the build their own. With how simple the character design is, though, it may not be too hard to brush paint!

Yea, they never really paint and creating more runners would cost a lot when they can already get people's attention just with the Eva theme.

I like the included decals to improve the kit, but it looks like you need fairly advanced skills to do justice to the figure.
