I love the Planets. My teach in the 6th grade did a pod on Classical Music, this was one of the albums he played for us. Holst, The Planets along with the Firebird Suite and the Heroica I already loved and played music, piano, but his enthusiasm and excitement incited in me a great appreciation, we even went to the Santa Fe Opera !
Besides timpani (6 pitches, two players), snare drum, bass drum, and tambourine, there's xylophone, cymbal, and gong. (And two harps, if you count them as percussion.)
Damn, that's right! She should have kept the b and gone full 20th century modern instead of cheating to make it fit to a classical style. THAT would have been genius.
5:02 is still one of my favorite things ever as a bass trombonist

Hypnotising to watch the graphics ....well done
From what I heard, this movement has a mind-blowing percussion section!
