Here because I was watching a British show called Victorian farm Christmas and they were making these and talking about the history of them and how they originally had one's for different themes like ,spinters and bachelor's ect..😅 I like your channel! 😊
Diane, I’ve had the necessary supplies for about a month now but sometimes got a bit overwhelmed by the online tutorials. Yours is so absolutely perfect and I thank you for this because I still have time to make my crackers for this Christmas! You are the best…
You're welcome! I know there are lots of "perfect" tutorials and "perfect" looking crackers out there but, in the end, it's the joy of making them that's fun for me 😊
Thank you for showing this!! How easy!!! Also, what a creative way to still make your videos with your family working inside the house. We’re all having to be flexible with all of us home so much. 😃
Thank you for showing us how to make these!! I went out and found some popping strips at our local craft store. 🙌. I made a bunch of them today.... filled them with a little sleigh bell, chocolates and a small bottle of liquor 🤣
@@DianeinDenmark yes, she has better ideas than me 😊 Merry Christmas to you and yours and may the New Year bring lots of peace and happiness to you and the ones you love . Thank you for all you do 💗
They look great. I think they might pull and pop a bit better if you only put tape on one end of the snap when you’re assembling it. I didn’t realise they were a British thing. I kind of assumed everyone would have them.
You did a great job with this! I have been waiting all month how to learn how to do this. I need little ideas for the inside. Since it's just my husband and I, I need things you may have around the house or that I can make. Any one have lovely jokes?
I kinda love when your top coordinates with your kitchen towels for some reason. I don't know if its purposeful or a happy accident. Thanks for all your inspiration Diane. Merry Christmas!
Perfect! Now I can make my own and don’t have to go to the shops, which is good considering the lockdown. And I’m planning to regift some of the kids little toys they forgot about. 🎄
Brilliant! There's something really special about Christmas crackers especially if you're crazy about miniature things. I used to buy really expensive ones from Jenners in the January sale. 😆
Hi, Diane, you mentioned this in a video before and I collected some rolls. I’ve no idea where to get 'snaps', but it’s such a funny idea, especially if there are siblings in a family! They need each other to open these rolls. Merry Christmas to you and your whole family, stay happy and healthy and funny! Love, Monika❣️
Hi Diane! I found your channel about a month ago and I love it! I love learning about Denmark. I live in the U. S. and don't know that much about your country. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to watch all your Christmas videos from previous years right now. You're inspiring me to declutter. Merry Christmas!
This is such a great idea, thank you for your videos. You have inspired me to get back on the Flylady wagon. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Lots of love from South Africa.
Great video - and such fun. Fond memories of Christmas Crackers in the 70s, made with the crepe paper and the pasted on motif ... probably from F W Woolworth 🤣🤣
@@DianeinDenmark hehe ... what fun we had back in the day. Unfortunately, we had a melamine table that became permanently marked, much to the chagrin of my mum, courtesy of 'The curious incident of the Crepe Paper and Orange Squash'. An Agatha Christie-eque incident worthy of Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot 😉
This is great! I’m in America and I’d seen these before but really had know idea what they were! Not a lot of do… When do you guys typically open them? Just curious 😊
Hi there! In the UK we always pull crackers at Christmas Day lunch (25 December, served around 1.30pm). Here in my Danish/Scottish family, we pull crackers for our Christmas dinner (24 December, 6pm).
Where can I buy that big advent candle?! My friend is coming to canada from Denmark in the spring (covid willing) and I’d love to get him to bring it with! Love your videos Diane! Lovely part of my day!

Yes, you can use all year round...a great way to "wrap" gifts! (You can make giant versions too)
So fun 💥 My Australian brother in law introduced crackers to our Christmas celebrations 10 years ago.
Hi Kristyn! Yes, they seem to be very popular in Australia too! have a wonderful Christmas!

But where do you find snaps? I would love to make these with my grandson.
Hi Kathryn! I found ours online (Amazon)! But, to be honest, they are just as much fun without!
Collect your Blue Peter badge right now, and don’t forget the jokes must be REALLY bad.
