As someone with ADHD and always feeling like I’m constantly walking on eggshells every single day and that I like Roxy, this makes me feel safe on so many levels.
That really hits home with me. When I was a kid, my gran (a fully qualified psychiatric nurse) told my dad that she thought I had ADHD and he should get me tested. He refused because he was too prideful. He wasn't willing to admit that there could be something wrong with me as if it was shameful or something. So, I was raised as if I didn't have it. As a result, I got in trouble and was punished pretty much constantly for things which I now know were symptomatic of ADHD. My stepmother hated me too and this gave her an excuse to be quite abusive, taking punishments and stuff too far. Of course, I responded by rebelling and acting out which only made it worse. I even ended up getting kicked out of the house and living in a small caravan in the back garden when I was a teenager because she didn't want me around but my dad did. That was their compromise to keep the peace. I never even knew there was a chance I had ADHD because nobody told me what my gran had said when I was little. It was very confusing and frustrating that I kept falling into certain behaviours without meaning to and getting punished for them. As you've probably guessed, yes I do have ADHD. Although, I didn't find that out until I was already an adult and had left home. I wish I had a Roxy back when I was a kid/teenager...
We need a part 2 for this. Im just gonna say it now. I may also have an idea for part 2. (assuming you make it, of course) So, part 2 starts with the kid meeting Cassie. They immediately bond, then one morning, Roxy makes breakfast for both of them. The kid then goes on his phone that he has. Now, the kid is really interested in trains, and it shows. A heritage unit (which is a modern locomotive painted in a past paint scheme) passed through near the pizzaplex the night before. The kid then asks roxy to take them to see it, sitting in a railyard. Roxy agrees, and they head off. The kid then sees the heritage unit in the yard, sticking out like a popsicle. The kid then gets his phone out, and records the heritage unit, for his youtube channel that he had. It goes according to plan, and the kid, satisfied with the catch, has roxy take them home. When they get home, however, the kid's original parents ask about him, and order him to return immediately, with failure to comply would meet with legal action. Roxy just hangs up the phone, thinking nothing would happen. But, indeed, something did happen. The parents filed a $5,000,000 LAWSUIT for kidnapping. This scenario has a happy ending, the lawsuit failed, and the kid is now with Roxy, Cassie, and Gregory for the rest of his life! Yay! Sorry if that was a but much, but i did come up with a really neat idea. If you dont take requests, im sorry for wasting your time. But it was worth a try. Thank you so much! Bye!
