The “hook” stencil is a “picketing point”; aka a tie down attachment location. Ones higher up on the aircraft are more for high winds situations where more attachment points are needed.
Awesome looking kit! Love the prints, camo scheme, and 3D printed munitions (would love a separate munitions parts pack; I'd purchase it in a heartbeat). I own the original gray Brickmania A-10 and can attest that it's indeed a big plane build, especially after I modded the main fuselage and completely MOC brickbuilt the engines. I used actual parts other than the cement mixer barrel pieces (making it extremely back heavy so on the display stand it stays, lol, I also modded the A-10 so it's compatible with Brickmania display stands). I find the use of a heavy counterweight in the front nose of the plane to be an interesting parts usage, and didn't know that Lego made such a thing until recently. Great job on this Dan, Slam, and company!
Hello brickmania team, I realized that you all never made a flak panzer IV (for example ostwind). So I‘m not asking you to make it, I just want to ask if you have it planned in the future
I love the design and the A-10 very much but I do with there was a version without any of the 3d printed missiles and bombs, since 1300 is out of my price range for one Lego plane when I could get two f-16s from you in the same quality for that price. I’m not entirely sure, but I assume that many 3d printed parts with printing does add more to the cost.
This model is significantly larger the F-16 in dimensions and piece count. The 3D and UV prints also add to the price. But this is a premium kit and is meant to be the highest quality possible for the Brickmania team. Perhaps some day we'll do a "classic" version without all the extras, but it's kind of on the big side to expect a low price in any case.
@@danielsiskind8226 Yeah I suppose that makes sense. I just never really see the two together for size comparison so it’s harder to tell. The color scheme for this one probably adds too, I imagine acquiring all those different greens is a lot more expensive than just the plain gray color patterns. Even just normal Lego is becoming a premium product, so I understand Brickmania is definitely an extreme premium for few. My “ideal” Brickmania style would be selling just the base build without any of the extras, 3d printed pieces, minifig, prints, etc. Basically just the vehicle stripped bare to be less expensive so more people could get them, but then also have an add-on pack that has all those extra premiums to make it the best kit it can possibly be for those who want that. Like how the Fury back for the Sherman tank was. But that’s just my take, it’s still cool seeing these amazing builds and advancements, just unfortunate I cant afford them myself haha
I did wind up getting the most recent F-16 though instead and I’m quite happy with it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to get the A-10 to be able to compare them in person myself. I can hope so at least
Great work as always. Would buy this kit if I had the monies but unfortunately Northrop has not asked me to trade my morals in yet. Any word on when the Heroes of Ukraine book is set to be finished? Had placed an order that included the preorder for it over two months ago and still haven't heard about it. Thanks.
Heroes of Ukraine book is wrapping up now and should start shipping next week. There's been a few setbacks, but it's finally coming together. Thanks for your patience!
@@danielsiskind8226 Great to hear. I’ve been anticipating building the Bunny tank the most as I had followed all the reports about it and always wanted to have that in my collection.
FYI: Camera Guy has made a new GAU-8 with 7 barrels since this video was recorded.
The A-10A turned out fantastic, again those new custom 3D printed armaments look incredible, camera guy had his work cutout for him no doubt.

I made the Kugelblitz Flakpanzer IV, but Ostwind and Wirbelwind are still on our "to do" list.
@@danielsiskind8226 That's cool, I completely forgot about the Kugelblitz but thanks for the info!

Holly needs a close up segment.
