Fermentation need warmth.. So of course put it on the counter top afler u churn rice n daal ( soaked for 7 to 8 hours) .. If weather is cold then keep it in closed cabinet. Wait untill it gets fermented. It will ferment naturally ( no need of curd or yeast) .. As per weather it wl take 12 to 16 hours.
