    I have vit b12 shots, I have had nothing but problems because I was brought up not to eat meat, I was very low in ferratin so now I take supplement, eat meat because my lips had a blue tinge, depression, psychosis, breathing problems. Black strap molasses too. Thanks for sharing.

    I have been suffering from extreme fatigue the last few months. I got a blood test and my Doctor told me last week that I am deficient in Folate. I purchased Methylfolate with no knowledge that I have the MTHFR gene. Does that matter? In other words: is supplementing Methylfolate superior than supplementing Folate or Folic Acid for everyone that is deficient?

    Why does taking only folate without Vit B12, "aggravate" neurological manifestations of Vit B12 deficiency?

    Hello Dr Mungli. Love every video of yours. thank you for posting such informative content. i had a question re. Homocysteine. Doesnt Homocysteine increase with folate deficiency? at the end of the video it says Homocysteine decreases in Folate and Cobalamin deficiency. Can you clarify pls. thanks

    Dr Mungli, Have you seen this happen: Starting with elevated homocysteine and MMA, treating with oral folate and IM cobalamine, and then have normal homocysteine but elevated MMA? No change in symptoms. Have any thoughts on that?
    I know you aren't my doctor, but mine is stumped on my labs and symptoms.
    More detail: After daily loading doses B12, MMA came down to near normal, then homocysteine came down, and MMA went back up within a very short time. After 8weekly IM B12, homocysteine was normal and MMA was elevated.
    At this point, my primary care physician is managing this and is stumped. Unsuccessful at getting hemetology consult, so far. And prescribed monthly IM B12.
    Apparent deficiency for over 2years. Developed MCI. Oral B12 did raise serum B12, did not change MMA.
    I'd love to have some sources to explain this (normal homocysteine with elevated MMA ) if you know any.
    Huge thanks for any info.

      Serum b12 is not accurate ! Take hydroxocobalamin injections or adenosylcobalamin capsules!

    • @TurtleMoonTube
      @TurtleMoonTube 2 года назад

      @@madhu_1489 Right, Serum B12 isn't a great measure to assess B12 deficiency. It accurately measures serum B12, but that doesn't tell you about deficiency. Which is why I'm not measuring that or even asking about that. BTW, NO form of oral B12 helped me, not even adenosylcobalamin.

      @@TurtleMoonTube go have some country side lamb liver raw, freezer the liver for week and have it daily raw like 30 grams a day with lamb spleen too!

      @@madhu_1489 Are you joking? I'm Sure my injections are safer than daily, raw liver. And, likely more effective. I'll stick to the injections.

      I purchased gentle iron, methylfolate and vit b12 injections online. I felt as if I was slowly dying. I've only been taking a few days so early days.

    Methylmalonic acids will also be increased

      Cobalamin deficiency causes increased methylmalonic acid and homocysteine.
