    The Jones Mind Expander Snowboard is a surf inspired, directional all-mountain/powder board that brings a fun and unique feel to the approach of riding powder and freeride terrain. Featuring overall directional shaping blended with a centered stance and 20mm taper, the Mind Expander offers the exceptional float of a longer board in soft snow, and has a nimble twinnish feel on the hardpack. You'll also find 3D shaping and a surf rocker profile, which is a continuous rocker shape that has more bend in the longer directional nose. The Jones Mind Expander snowboard is an excellent powder snowboard with a unique feel and the versatility to tackle all mountain terrain with ease. Let me know what you think down below, thanks for watching.

    Thanks TJ , brought the original Mindexpander after your previous review 2 years ago , on an end of season special . Agree its great for a surfy feel and has amazing float . I use it mainly in the Back Country carrying a 10 kg backpack so took the additional weight into account and decided to size up to 158. Have found I get lots of positive comments from other snowboarders when in resort ( Avoriaz , France ).

    Loving this review format TJ. Quality combined with the ultra detail we have become accustomed to from you.
    If I was to buy any Jones board Id say it would be this or the Mountain Twin.
    Keep up the quality content brother.
    And that front lip on the stair rail at Bear was beautiful 👌🤙
    Nice to see the ankle is feeling better brother.

    Love this board! Great review! I'm a size 12 boot and weight 230lbs so I picked up 166. I agree that the longer you go its not as nimble but it floats incredibly well. I tried swallow tail boards and I'll take the stability with the mind expander over the sharp quick turns of swallow tails. I own the Yes Greats 159 and I find myself picking up the Mind Expander more frequently even on non-powder days. Amazing board! 🙏🏾

    broooo compared to your videos where your riding the storm chaser you were landing EVERYTHING on the mind expander. some of those drops in the trees were DOPE. I currently ride a slush slasher for the pow days but i want something that can handle some cliffs and drops in the pow and after watching this im definitely leaning towards scooping a mind expander. sick video bruh.

    HI TJ, great vid, this is a great snowboard category for you that most channels do not do bc you ride the boards you are reviewing. You have a great talent to easily convey how the ride feels & handles due to how the board was purposely design built. Please do a vid on what all mountain, exploratory, progression type powder tree board you think is the best at being aggressive, nimble, maneuverable, playful, yet precise, stable at needling the nose and board down thru the tree line you choose rather than a boat floating thru type feeling.

    Hey man I got an ultra mind expander and I would honestly love if you could do a review of it. There are reviews out there for it but none of them have footage of it being ridden which would really help me understand how I should ride it compared to the regular mind expander. Thanks so much for this review, it was super good.

    TJ i’m looking at the 2019/2020 DOA and huck knife what would you recommend?

    • @BoardArchive
      @BoardArchive  4 года назад

      Huck knife is more fun all around freestyle, its a little bit softer and more jibby than the DOA with the rocker tips. The DOA is still an amazing all around park board and will do better for the rest of the resort

    Awesome review! TJ, what's the shortest size you'd ride this board yourself? Do you think it would be fun and still floating decently if you were to ride it in size 150 for exemple or 154 is where you'd draw the line?

    • @Dwaje
      @Dwaje 4 года назад +1

      I'm actually surprised he was riding a 158 for this. I think most other reviewers went down in size.

    • @BoardArchive
      @BoardArchive  4 года назад +1

      I don't think I would go below a 154 if I was buying this board for myself, but I think the 154 would still float really well!

    • @BoardArchive
      @BoardArchive  4 года назад +2

      @@Dwaje I could have downsized to a 154 with this board and I think it still would have been great, but I really enjoyed the 158

    • @Dwaje
      @Dwaje 4 года назад

      @@BoardArchive I've been told size up for pow float and down for play in the trees. I think you said it still had easy turn initiation so maybe if it was smaller the trees would've been better. Either way thanks for the review! I'm debating between the mind expander and the orca for a pow board right now
