Congratulations. I get it beating Ari on his mechanical but, a wins a win. Everything has to go right to win, so many variables. All you can control is your strategy, effort and grit and this time you had enough of these to get the outcome.

So fun to watch you race! In the mass swim start, I was able to see first hand what race take out speed looks like. It was also great to see your interactions with fellow athletes and race volunteers. Class act. Well done Simon!

Thanks!! Yeah, now imagine 30 other people having that same take out speed... Just chaos for Ironman pro starts lol.

Congrats Simon. I wondered if you could do a video discussing how your technique changes using a wetsuit. Most triathlon sites are targeted at non swimmers, and as a former swimmer taking up triathlon (much more amateurly) I have really struggled to get used to the body position with the wetsuit to the extent that have got in and stressed out too much in races to make the wetsuit worth it! Ari always has a mechanical, that is just how he races. Like Verstappen said: ”If my mom had balls she would be my dad”. That is just how racing is and you should enjoy the win regardless
