The newer ones had ever such a slight change in the note; I don't know if anyone else perceived it, but I put it in the book. This one was new to Battersea as a one-off (not sure for what reason, but they did tend to damage 'em at B) and stayed there till the garage closed, eventually turning up at Tottenham with Ms from the same number blocks, there to stay for the rest of its life.
@mwharmby I've noticed that the whining noise from the axles are different in the higher numbered Metros than they are in the older ones (around M680 upwards).
