As someone who works for firestone/Bridgestone it’s insane how much the company prides itself on being the best it can be. And yes, a huge part of what we pride ourselves on is honesty. I truly believe in the company. It’s terrific. And if you get a chance to work for Bridgestone/Firestone. Take it. It’s worth it
I have some Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack tires on my Jetta. Fantastic set of tires. I actually chose these over a set of contis.
Wow, that's cool. Which department? Ur lucky
I work for Bridgestone and it’s cool how much weve grown and keep developing new tires and ways to be more efficient and reliable
Wow, that's cool. Which department?
@@user-no1yt9hk1d when I did work there I have since moved on I worked with tire degradation research and transitioned to installing them through on of their subsidiaries
As an employee of Bridgestone I can agree to most of this, the only thing I can add is that Firestone wasn’t the only company that merged with Bridgestone. There was Hibdon Tires and Hibdon Tires Plus and some others. Other than that, Firehawks are what I run on my street car and Destination Mts on my super duty. Great video good information. 👍🤟
Zane Crittenden and Firestone merged Dyton before Firestone merged with Bridgestone
I actually work for Bridgestone, Firestone as a tech and I love the bridge stone tires I use blizac LM32 in the winter and potenza AS 980 in the summer
Myth has it.. if you are early to videos 2 days in a row they will like your comment

Fitment Industries did an amazing job describing the tough history and the values of the leading tyre-manufacturer, that I am blessed to Co-op with currently. Mr. Shojiro Ishibashi not only created a strong value of family and hardwork, but also instilled a foundation that was based on Seijitsu-Kyocho, Shinshu-Dokuso, Genbutdu-Genba and Jukuryo-Danko. Nowadays, Bridgestone continues to strive for superior quality, while considering the safety of its employees, and it's environment (Check out their recent donation to the Nature Conservancy of Tennessee). Beyond proud to co-op as a Mech. E in one of their Passenger Vehicle/Light Truck plants in America!
I worked at Firestone/Bridgestone for a while. Even before that, my dad used Bridgestone tires on many of his cars.
6:55 My mom had a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and while I was at work, I installed Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza tires. 2 were made in the USA, one was made in Mexico, and one was made in Canada.
One thing I find is that Bridgestone specializes in making good replacement tires and some really crappy tires sold just to OEMs.
I would like to have a video about Pirelli. Occasionally there were Pirelli truck tires at the Firestone places where I worked. The quality was excellent, and the price was lower than anyone would expect for such a great tire. I think if Pirelli didn't spend so much money on advertising premium tires for fast cars, they would be far more profitable. The tires they sell for ordinary trucks are a great value and everybody should know about it.
Pirelli certainly has a special place on our list for future videos! We can't just ignore them 😂 Stay tuned though its on the way!
@@FitmentIndustries Thanks a bunch!
I never knew that bridgestone was japanese. Pretty informative video. Keep up the awesome vids!
I didn't even know Bridgestone was Japanese. Damn.
Man from Nantucket me neither I thought they were part of Firestone or something. Wow I’m an idiot I just finished the video
if you look up at camera digital brand, ur mind will blow
Me neither
@@yogadgsix I don't even own a camera but as soon as I read your comment one appeared before my eyes
MIND BLOWN
That's NOT the question--sure, they are Japanese--but are they MADE in China? THAT is the question.
The name Bridgestone comes from the founders name. Ishibashi translates as “stone bridge” but that was turned round to Bridgestone as it sounded more western....possibly influenced by the well known US brand Firestone (which Bridgestone ended up buying in the ‘80s).
For those of you who like Japanese like this quadrilingual nerd here, this, interestingly, is the breakdown of Shojiro Ishibashi's (*石橋*正二郎) family name:
「石橋」(ishibashi) is a combination of the characters for "stone" (石 "ishi") and "bridge" (橋 "bashi"). Hence, Stone Bridge, or Bridgestone, what we have today!
Oh, and I subscribed loong ago ✌️
Interesting man thanks for the info! Glad to have you apart of the fam! 🙏🏼
@@FitmentIndustries Great video. ;)
I am using Bridgestone they are very good tire even after 1 year . Thanks i knew japan quality still better.
I was in highschool and had been saving up 5 Rand coins to buy something for my dad's car which I would also drive at times. It just so happened that it needed a new set of tyres at the time and i had enough coins saved up and ended buying them. Bridgestone tyres were the first set of tyres I ever bought. Potenza Adrenalin RE002's 195/50/15. Changed the drivability of the car completely and I only had good things to say about it since then
I just got a set of RE-71Rs and it's like I got an entirely new car. Cannot begin to tell how fantastic those tires are. ❤
I've subscribed, and the potenza line of tires is amazing. The Bridgestone Potenza RE003 tires are what I use on everything. Street, track, drifting, they're an incredible brand that's supports their users and buying a lot of tyres from your local shop can even get you discounts (hint hint)
Gotta love your re-71r's. -Bridgestone Employee

Solid history. I have barely used Bridgestone until the Potenza RE71R I am on my second set and they are one of the best for autox and lapping days. At least 80% of local cars at my autox are on RE71R.
I use Bridgestone tires on my motorcycle and I am very satisfied!
I use bridgestones on my grandmother's electric scooter
Cool channel man. You have another subscriber. I've been working at Bridgestone now for about 9 months, and I love it. Great culture, and people there.
Wow, that's cool. Which department?
@@user-no1yt9hk1d I worked in the warehouse receiving and outbound of tires
Subscribed! I also work at Firestone and this episode was spot on accurate. Don’t know how you guys get such exact info but keep it up! 👏🏼
Totally Diggin' your "The Truth About" series. Keep it up!!!
Thanks homie!
last time i use bridgestone is potenza G3 times and they were not comfy for daily drive. went to GT radial for a few years until i sold my car, they're comfy and just good. then i got accelera tires when i bought another car, it was total crap. went back to potenza re003 last week and damn.. this one feels awesome. it has a lot of grip, a bit firm, but still comfy. the only reason i choose re003 is just because i can't find michelin PS4. but hey, no regret at all!
2 thumbs up from a safisfied Bridgestone consumer for over 40 years now 🤲 🥰... Started with the Dolly Bird and have used various since then till now including Potenza, Turanza, Ecopia & Dueler ranges 👍 👍 👏
Subscribed and running WS80s every winter in Montana for years
Been subscribed since around 10,000. I've loved seeing you guys grow since you definitely deserve it
I currently have a 2023 GMC Yukon XL with Bridgestone Alenza AS 2, got 80,000 miles on them, they aren’t even worn all the way down I am changing them because I got edge wear due to mountain roads I have been taking.
Blizzaks are hands down the best snow tire ever created! God himself couldn’t have made a better tire. And I subscribed.
Subscribed and thanks for this brief history on Bridgestone
I live in toronto and a car tire dealer suggested me to go for BS - blizzak WS80 for my 2013 accord. I didn’t know much about tyres but hands down, till now they have been really good. Your appreciation for ws80 gives me even more confidence.
Thanks Alex !!
Been using bridgestone tyres for many years on the cars and trucks. With such variable experience that we don't buy them anymore. Still some new trucks come with them from the factory tho. Would use Michelin more, but we don't get as good price on them anymore. Went all hankook and they hold up good for the money.
I worked for Bridgestone/Firestone for almost 30 years , they made some great stuff and some real crap, I wont mention the BT70s tires, I still run Firestone tires on all my cars and rec them daily
Whenever you need a new set of firestones email us at shop@fitmentindustries.com and we can get you hooked up! 👍
I get a employee discount, thanks anyway
drfalcon4102 I work for the re-treading side of Bridgestone at one of the few Bandag plants they bought out in the U.S. pretty cool to see some history of the company!
The Bridgestones that came with my mom's 1999 Honda CRV had to be some of the most pathetic tires ever. All the grip and noise of extreme performance tires without any of the grip. The least expensive Kelly-Springfield tire was used as a replacement and even that was better.
i have Potenza Sports on a bagged daily and its lovely!
Awesome, I've been waiting for this one!
Of course I’m subscribed, and Blizzaks for life.
Bridgestone made some amazing motorcycles in the late 60s
Japanese working values came from an American Industrialist, Edward Demming, who helped rebuild Japans economy after WW2.
Enrique Gonzales Of Course ! So Japan is now one of the best ally with the US.

Been subcribed. Running RE-71R on the autocross car. Like them allot.
I work for Bridgestone. Good tyres Bridgestone d697. Good 4wd tyre. Potenza re050a great passenger vehicle tyre
Excited to get my WS90's.
First time viewer and just subscribed!!!
Love my Bridgestones/Firestones Tires...Quality/Technology/Value all in one.
The truth about nexen tires.. And I've subscribed
south Korean made tyres they make some good tyres. they are mid range tyres.
I had one encounter with Nexen tires, and it was bad news. I dealt with this BMW that was constantly having ride issues. We would balance the tires, drive a while, and the tires would get unbalanced again. I asked the older guys I worked with how to explain that when you buy discount tires, you often don't get good tires.
Don't buy Nexen...
3:04 there’s something written on the wall behind about Tengku Abdul Rahman, the first prime minister of Malaysia, after our independence in 1957! This is super cool to a Malaysian and would be cool to know what was really happening in this image. Some sort of press conference in Japan where Tengku was a guest, perhaps?
I like the Dueler REVO 1,2,3 and Firestone lt tire
I don't know why but I have watched about 15 of your videos lol I just subbed before this one
I love Bridgestone on my Honda Accord and civics good wear and handeling, my next set will be on my 2010 fit sport, if they have the correct size, yes just every days cars that fits the every day driver that can not afford the 90 to 100 thousand dollar cars!
Very true everyone can’t always afford the big 💰💰 builds some of these guys are running!
Just bought Bridgestone Dueler H/L alenza plus for my RAM 1500...I will tell you more in a few months but for now it's my first pic.
I purchased the Potenza GIII's for my Suzuki and they run great. I'm on the second set of wheels now.

Nothing better than blizzaks in the winter!
I subscribed many moons ago. love your work guys keep it up.
Also for lower line winter tires on non performance don't forget Winterforce tires. Also awesome! Just wish Bridgestone/Firestone had more entry and mid level performance tires too
Good winter tires are always a necessity especially in our neck of the woods! Winter is coming soon be sure to check out our shop online for all of your tire needs, Don't risk it to get the biscuit! bit.ly/2Imgo9B
I just purchased bridgestone's dueler h/ l alenza tires and I could tell the deference in the handling right away on my Toyota Tacoma . When i bought my 2017 truck they put cheap ass Toyo tires on it that didn't even last 30,000 miles. I take care of my tires and rotate them when i change oil and them Toyo tires were junk.
My dad lives in Japan and he works all day until 11 pm. The culture there is insane. A 9 to 5 is considered a part time. I live in the US and im probably staying here because I do not agree with many of the traditions there and I just prefer it over here. Also my family in Japan is quite small compared to my American side.
Kentaro Honjo yo can your pops send me Jdm parts?
Dont be lazy!
I can imagine how stressed those people who work so many hours per day may be. I live in South Africa. Nothing to write home about. Japan has such discipline and order. The people are passionate about what they do and always give their best. I like those qualities and personally think I have them too which is why I wish I lived there instead of here...
Whilst I feel sorry for those who are highly stressed because of working culture in Japan I benefit greatly from the fruits of their labour such as the well made cars, guitars and games, to name a few. I really appreciate JDM engineering and am a huge fan of it! I own a Toyota Corolla and Honda S2000 and those are great examples of high Japanese work ethic, especially my S2K :D Then there's my made in Japan instruments - Ibanez and Charvel. I can feel the dedication and love with which the craftsmen crafted them in every detail. Sugoi subarashi!
RolanTHUNDER dude just head down to the local Japanese Male escort and send h some love 😂

Subscribed since 10k !! Truth about Federal tires !
I'm a subscriber. Currently using Firestone Fireforce FF70 Sport tires and they do surprise me non-stop. Definitely hooked on the Bridgestone/Firestone brand since the early 90's. #BridgestoneForLife
I have both! Blizzaks for the winter and Potenzas for the summer. =D
I was behind 4 episodes, my battery is on 1%, I gotta text my girl back but my charger is in my kitchen. I'm to tired to get out of bed. I guess she'll have to wait till morning because fitment industries is worth that 1% of battery life that's left.
P.S. I finished the video
Subscribed. Running Firestone Firehawk Indy 500.
Hi there so if I need just summer tires and the most quiet ones ,which ones are the best ?? Bridgestone , Michelin or what ? Thanks
I would say personally Bridgestone and Michelin are fairly equal as road noise they are both fantastic! I however would choose Bridgestone! Check those out here! --> www.fitmentindustries.com/store/tires?&brand=Bridgestone
I've been subscribed for a couple weeks now. Keep up the awesome content!
Been subscribed for a while now and i really enjoy your content. You guys deserve more subs!
I SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite channels to watch, keep up the good work.
Past couple of years, Bridgestone has seriously gone down hill. I put a set of the Bridgestone Dueler HT tires on my Explorer, They are supposed to be a 70000 mile tire, I only got 36000 miles out of them when they hit the 4/32 mark. Not very good at all considering they are 11/32 when you buy them. The really bad part, all I do is travel on the highway in the Explorer :(
Very well made video, i subscribed to this channel.
Thanks, homie! Stay tuned we have more badass content coming!
can you do a video about yokohama tires and dunlop 👍?
Blizzaks used to be the best and are still close to the best, but I have switched to Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s to handle Alaskan winters. Just that little bit better safety for driving in winter.
I just got rid of my factory ecopia's with 1200 miles on them (new car) for s set of continental dsw plus.... very happy now...the bridgestone's made every little road imperfection sound like a thunderclap in the cabin and were terrible in snow.... I think it's the free rolling mpg rubber in cold weather..... very unhappy with the ecopia's....my experience and opinion...
You already know I’m subscribed! I’ve been looking at the Bridgestone Potenza s-04 pole position as my next tire. I didn’t actually know they were Japanese either 😅
I been subbed. But.... What about Achilles? Even though they ain't the biggest state side, I like the ATR2 for beating on.
They are cheap and trash..
Thanks ... M Bridgestone employee 😉😊
I have owned a lot of winter tires for a non studded winter (you are right) blizzaks are awesome.
This explains why I haven't liked Bridgestone. Tread separation was an issue way back when I had some.
i had a WS80 it was the best set of winter tire
Been subscribed!
Subscribed and love my Michelin tires.
I have Bridgestone Potenza RE 760 sport on my car 2014 bought new with 40,000 miles on it my already treadwear is 5/32 at present , they don’t manufacture anymore. Feel safe and comfortable. Pity its not available anymore.
I've had Blizzaks since the WS-15, but a few years ago Bridgestone fell to third place in the studless market behind the Hakkapeliitta R2 and the Michelin X-Ice Xi3 (although the WS-80 is probably better than the X-Ice in deep snow). Nokian will have the R3 for next winter; we'll see if Bridgestone (and Michelin) will be left further behind.
hey been subed for a while love yours guys content
I miss the ws15 og blizzaks they were the goat had them on my Civic and it was unstoppable in the snow lol. Got a mk7 golf now with 16" ws80 tires and they just aren't the same lol but still blizzaks or nothing
How about a vid.on B.F. Goodrich ,are they making tires to the same standards as Michelin?
Subscribed.
Plain and simple... I put Bridgestone tires on my tractor/trailer... All my tire problems went away... I will use no other tire from this point forward...
Truth about Nankang? And I'm of course subscribed
It's on the list!
You guys know I'm already subscibed.
