- I almost missed this train! Glad I had my car windows open to hear the blast of ELS 503 (SD40-2) crossing Breitung Ave or I would have missed it totally!

Wow yes Jason thank you for the catches and for the one hundreds subscribers like me thanks for all the catches on ELS aka Penn Central jr😊and the MEGA LOG HAULER'S LOL
Thank you for the Great Railroad Show!!!
Good morning I enjoyed that video👍👍
Looking at the state of the track, I am not surprised that they are always having derailments. However, fascinating viewing, keep it up. I check these out from New Zealand.
Rain snow and you’re still record them. You are a true rail fan. Thanks brother.
The Mrs. only wants a 12-pack? Total lightweight.
Bad track that needs to be fixed with an orange freddy on the back thanks Jason !
Great video and catch!
Thanks Jason for the video
Yup - U git the weather I git a few daze later. Lottsa thunder & lightning & monsoon rain. Glad I have a 50yr roof...
Reminds me of a local PRR branch line I got to ride with the crew on in the late 1960s. When the train rolled onto one end of a particular rail, the other end would jump off the ground. The crew seemed to get a kick out of seeing the rail jump.
As much business as this railroad seems to do, you'd think they'd have funds available to put the track in much better condition.
For the Mrs's. Right, never heard that one before.
good train video
Thats really no bad, You should have seen the old Beer Line In the 70's
Squeezed in the railroading part of the day before the rain really hits. Good to see the mostly loaded train moving slowly but surely with a dozen cars of siding and the balance of the scrap. Sad to say it is now becoming a 2-day ordeal to get a car down to Green Bay. Let's keep our eyes open and see where any of those Mega log haulers show up
Nice kla 5 horn
We got hit realy bad here in south west Michigan with tornados
Pumping.
Great view by Alter. I don't remember that view in past videos, I could be wrong. We were supposed to get those storms here in SE Michigan, but I got nothing but a little rain where I'm at. Thanks for another great video Jason!
Good catch J.Greg 😊.
CN and later NBSR had a siding that served Praxair. they traveled no more then 5 MPH as pushed the loads or puled the
empties as the engine leaded so bad. NBSR had to rip up the siding before the crossing and renovate the whole thing over 100 feet. I am sorry to judge but ELS is playing for time when will have a serious incident. any Tornado warnings?
Sound like a csx horn
Given the short lengths of rail and rotting, disentigrating ties, it appears the ELS has opted for the short-term fix at this location rather than a proper repair. Not necessarily deferred maintenance, just a bandaid to slow the bleeding. Good luck with that.
23 cars with 503 engine with orange Fredy
Ahhhhh....Metal fatigue (physics) in action! Make a "round" hole into an "obround"/"double-D!"🙄
I've a suggestion Jason, as 'Tooth does, shoot some video of that rail and see if the roll dates are on. Would be interesting.
Well that 12 pack just had to wait a few minutes
do they ever do any repairs to that track
Jason, I've been a sub for err a long time but I still don't know wtf smart siding is? I have asked. 😅 ❤❤❤❤
A newer product by Louisiana Pacific called Smart Siding. They sell it at Menard's and other locations. It's siding for your home that lasts 20 years.
Hi
@@jasonasselin thank you! now I know. 🥰
@@lakishadeal3536 hi!
Jason. What happen to the 4 axle engines? 401, 402, etc. They used to go by your house all the time. Are they gone or stored? ⁉️⁉️
401 has been dead a long time. 402 has broken pushrod. No affirmative info if it can be repaired.
400 still works Escanaba area.
@@BudmanPackfan Thanks Bud Man. I figured someone out there keeps track of those things. Even though they are also EMD products, they at least gave a little more variety, especially when they paired up an SD with a GP. Thanks again.👍🇺🇸
Many, many, many rotten ties in that section. My friend told me that and I believe them.
Bouncing railroad tracks needs to be fix I don’t trust and don’t like it bouncing
How many loads of that siding are going out every week? It seems like a large business already. There's enough business there that a derailment could be a big deal. Those lazy people at E&LS MOW need to actually do some work for a change and the company should buy some ties.
the bouncing tracks could be fixed with a track damper and the rails are in mostly good condition all the ballast is ok so all the problems can be fix with 2 days of work but i think they might be lazy
12 pack for the wife.🤣🤣🤣
