    Very creative! This would have made a great Jack Daniels Ad. You should sell this to the company for a lot of money!
    This video was wonderful! Appreciate the close up shots showing the wiring. I'm a novice with electrical stuff, and have a few chandeliers to rewire. So if I understand correctly:
    18 gauge yellow wire to each of the sockets, split into positive and neutral.
    14 gauge black wire split into - positive connecting to all the yellow positives in one bundle, neutral connecting to all the yellow neutrals in one bundle. Each bundle wire nut capped and taped up
    14 gauge black wire going into plug for 110V wall outlet. 14 gauge can handle all 7 bulbs amp needs.
    1. Not sure how you calculated the amp output and arrived at 14 gauge?
    2. I wonder if there is a hub type of gizmo that the socket wires can connect to, that makes this a cleaner assembly instead of those fat bundles? Might look better on my slender vintage chandeliers. The trouble is, I cannot look this up as I don't know the right electrical language for searches.
    Thanks for a great demo!! This chandelier is great for a man cave, or the front lobby of Jack Daniels corporate offices, or the CEO's office! Seriously, why not contact them and make another for a custom order? Maybe a whole row of them for the lobby. At $2000 each.
    By the way, an Angle Grinder (Bosch 5 inch with stop button), and a Harbor Freight 4 inch knotted and Crimped Wire Brush for grinder, would polish up that metal and wood in 10 mins. All rust, paint, corrosion, gone!

    I'd also use a glass applicable clear coat on the bottles to prevent the labels becoming dirty and useless w/time:)

    WOW! I am impressed. That is VERY cool! Well done and inspiring! Nice to see how it went along. I want to make a pair of matching hanging lights out of two antique quahog baskets I have for my kitchen. Still need to learn more and where to get supplies from. What a compressor can do is amazing! (Thankfully I have one.)

    Amazing. Very talented. How would it have looked if you spray painted the rim in a gold color? I bet it would of looked awsome right?

    Where is the ground wire attached?

    Do half the wires from the bulbs go to one of the black wires and the other half to the other black wire

    I've looked into doing things very similar, and keep coming up with the same question, What is it that is placed on the threaded rod to hold the bottle? I've watched hundreds of videos and no one seems to ever explain what it is or where and how to get it. Maybe it's just me but I would love to know. Thanks.

    Hi Really cool video.
    I was wondering if you could have run the lights in parallel? instead of running separate line?

    • @matthighlively
      @matthighlively  8 лет назад

      +Ahman Millener you certainly could. internal wiring might become cumbersome. here is a link to the original video. the wiring was outside the chandelier. its not the best for explaining how it was wired together, but the visual might help you out. ruclips.net/video/vPSh6F3m8ws/видео.html

    I'm getting ready to do something very similar in my house so I need to know...Did you ground the fixture? and if so what did you connect the ground wire to? Thanks!

    • @Kangaroo-Bob
      @Kangaroo-Bob 4 года назад

      He didn't run an earth wire to the fixture so it wasn't grounded. Given that every fixture has live metal parts covered merely by electrical tape I owuld say this is extremely unsafe. Stil a cool idea, just needs some extra protection put in place
