Vishal Dayama is the OG.
this is the most I have seen vishal talk! i love it
As someone who loves to read and read random facts, this video was my all time favourite. I'm booking few of the recommendations right away. And my best moments in the entire video were where I had already read the discussed books, and could relate to the views shared. Thoroughly loved the video. 😀
Beautiful format! I’m glad I spent my Monday morning watching this productive discussion- thank you both
Great Episode KV, Always love seeing a new video on the channel. Also congratulations on your wedding. Lots of love.☺☺
Vishal Dayama has so much Rohit Sharma vibes 😂
Thank u for the books podcast.
I keep finding myself not being able to read and then u come along and remind me to start afresh
I've been reading vishal's work for long now. I'm so grateful for this episode and random musings one too.
Great episode. keep them coming !!
Beautiful concept. 😊 Sorry, missed ep 1. Fantastic idea of combining 2 of my favourite worlds - reading and quizzing. The facts make for great quizzing trivia.
Speaking of humorous writing, PG Wodehouse is a personal favourite...
This is KV’s version of The Internet Said So
Even I used to think Harry Potter was for kids, but when I started reading it, I was obsessed. It's so well written and takes you into a world from which you don't want to get out!
We need part 2 on books! Please ❤️
Folding and annotating books allows you to feel more close to the books, so I am with Vishal on that one!
There is a new translation out now of Dostoevsky done by Michael Katz. A lot of readers are saying its the best translation they have read. I have ordered it. Eagerly waiting.
Just here to complement you both. In the world of reels and crap content. You both are providing the material and content that people like me need
Thank you for suggesting the Nick Mason's book
Oh nice. Looks like Indian version of No such thing as a fish. Which incidentally you had recommended in one of your interviews😊
Best Episode
Movie Trivia: The whole monologue of Sanjay Dutt on Lage Raho Munnabhai when he is asked to give speech on Gandhiji is actually lifted from one of the Sharad Joshi’s satires called ‘Hum Bhrashtan ke, Bhrashtan hamare’.
In China it was unofficial requirement to carry a copy of the quotations from Chairman Mao Tse Sung (The little red book) during the cultural revolution. Sort of an unsaid compulsion.
The Thackeray fact blew my mind!
Not surprised that Vishal likes murakami
Please read harry potter ❤❤ I completely agree wd Vishal on his book choices so much and looking forward to kvizzing on potter please please please! Also, vishal, have you any idea about bengali literature except satyajit ray and tagore
Also, my LinkedIn backdrop is a quote from Douglas Adams.
KV, I'm a big fan of your work, and it's really a surprise for me ki aapne Harry Potter books/movies dono experience nhi kiya, and it's better that you haven't watched the movies, so you can start the books without any spoilers, and you'd enjoy the books even more
Kindle ka bibliosmia is junk !!! Smoooth Vishal bhai smooth....
love you varun bhai
That urmila matondkar photo on the wall... KV is true fan of urmila.
Kumar sir, i recently subscribed to your channel. Loved your kvizzing series. Sir i would like to ask you, what is your opinion on self help books? Which books would you recommend to read? Thank you for the wonderful content on your channel.
Loved the Thackeray fact by KV :)
Ended up getting curious and read up a little further on them to find that they trace their roots to Bihar from where their great-grandfathers migrated.
Politics and irony do go hand-in-hand.
@mallikadandekar actually no....that claim is false. That claim was made by Congress mp Digvijay Singh( I am assuming Digvijay arrived at his conclusion because of Thakre surname which is common in north India but Prabodhankar's actual surname was Dhodapkar named after port Dhodap but changed to Panvelkar bcoz he lived and born there and later changed to Thackeray) As per Prabodhankar Thackeray 's autobiography his says his ancestors were Killedar of Fort in Maharashtra under Maratha Rule. Even his great grandfather was from Pali, Raigad district.
Vishal started by fact of Murakami while I am currently reading 1Q84
I liked the quote 'Nobody cares work harder' so much that I also bought it for my laptop😂
Great conversation btw❤️
love vishal
I think you should also get someone like Manav Kaul. He is a Hindi writer but then he keeps on mentioning Murakami and Albert Camus in his books as well. fiction mein bhi, so I am sure it would be great conversation.
Please add the book recommendations on the foot notes/description of the video.
Mannn, Vishal's energy is so Good & so Bad at the same time 😂 I mean it's a great thing that he's very calm, composed & doesn't get too excited about stuffs, be it anything. But that also seems like he's not interested & rude. But anyways, I love his energy. He's the kinda guy I'd like to Marry!
Also his voice is so good that I can listen to him talking all day
There should be a harry potter quiz... KV
KV please books ke nam ya amazon k links add kr do form where it will be easy to purchase these books :)
pls more Matter of Facts Episode
Please discuss specific books 📚
Whose picture is it behind him?
I read 5 points someone in a day during my 2nd semester of engineering...
Can anybody name all the books and writers they discussed.
I didn’t get notification! 😭
@51:00 Prabodhankar Thackeray (even present Thackerays ) write ठाकरे in English as the author William Makepeace Thackeray did..... they don't write Thakre (which people with actual ठाकरे surname do). Prabodhankar Thackeray was one of the great social reformer who advocated against illiteracy, untouchability, superstitions and dowery. He was very close to Dr BR Ambedkar too.
Why 2past 2curious not coming with biswa?
Kumar Varun ji shadi mubaarak.
Still waiting for 2past 2 curious😢
Second part of books with Rojo
This guy's one of my fav ones on the internet, to watch and listen to... Just gold!✨ #AdvertiserOP #OneLinerVishaal
ps. Petition to change Vishal's name on Tanmay's channel from #ShauharOP to #MicDropperOP
Pls read if you are interested in Magic Realism, "Deewar Mein Ek Khidki Rahti Hai".. Magic Realism from an Indian Writer. And what a book.. read in hindi
Bring Kullu for these streams.
Actually the best medium for Harry Potter is the audiobooks.
Read by Stephen Fry no less!
23:31
9:58
we need a harry potter edition quizzing
Not a fan of books. Although I should however here to listen only to vishal. His aura is so nice
Amazing content KV bhai!
Small feedback: please don't give over the top reaction to every fact.. it looks kinda pretentious...sorry may be i am wrong
