Imagine if everyone took care of their cars as well as Tyson. 🤔 Wow. Love how he treats each and every one of his Acura’s with so much attention to detail.
I just flew from NY to LA and back yesterday just to buy a 93 coupe L 6speed Type II. I've owned several Hondas and Acuras but this was my most ambitious and gratifying purchase to this point. Can't wait to join the Legend enthusiasts club.
Your dessert mist Coupe has a greater “presence” than this black Coupe which looks sharp after the restoration. Thanks for sharing the labor of love for these forgotten cars.
Man this is cool. She is gorgeous, so clean. I just picked up a 95 Legend coupe that needs restoring. Undergoing a mechanical diagnostic as i type. I've wanted a Legend since before I had a license lol. I respect the dedication getting yours back to showroom condition, I plan to go more of a rest-mod lol. Starting with coilers that are in transit, I want BBS RS wheels, and Custom paint. Hope you've still got this beauty.
One of the best cars ever made!! Loved the 6sp manual version!! Even the Auto was good!! Kinda nice to see Acura getting back to this too! Great video!!
Awesome! No one can question the degree of skills he put forth to produce such quality in his vintage cars. I own a 1969 T-Bird. The motor runs great. I lost my garage to a storm, so the body needs skillful work.😢
I had a 95 Acura Legend for 23 years, it was very clean, black with tan interior. Don't forget to change the gear oil transaxle oil L'm not talking about the transmission fluid. The drain plug for the transaxle oil is on the right side by the front tire, use a 3/8 rachect to remove the drain plug.. The fill plug is right above that drain plug..
You inspire me! I personally love Toyota and Lexus vehicles but the Legend has always been a favorite of mine. I plan to purchase a Lexus LS430 and restore it. Love the attention to detail on all your cars!
Another great video Tyson! Really enjoy watching these transformations. Amazing how good those OE wheels look compared to the aftermarket ones. Keep the vids coming!
I am very excited to restore a 95 LS Coupe that I just acquired. It needs a lil more love than this one but it’s love I am willing to give!! Lol thanks for the inspiration
Beautiful restoration! Really interested in the techniques and products you use in your detailing. If you haven’t already, could you show tips on the process and best products you like to use to make these cars come out near showroom quality?
Sure, that's a good idea. I'll have to put together a separate video on that. The main things you see in here are Show Car Shine wax from Griot's Garage and Tuff Stuff cleaner for the carpet.
@@TysonHugie - Ok, cool. I have a son that is Graduating and this would be a Great gift for him. Honda/Acura are BULLET PROOF 😊. How can I win this PLEASEEEEEE lol.... Thxs Ken
Tyson, you have such a knack for refreshing these cars. I wish I had your drive and skill. And maybe your seemingly spare no expense approach? Anyway, another job well done!
Something about the legends that I love! I just never own one. Maybe one day I’ll look for a 6 speed in green 😁 hood job brother. Those oem wheels look way better then the one it came with for sure
Hey Tyson. Im Ruffin and i also reside in Phoenix. I too am an Acura fanatic and Ive sitting on a 1995 Legend coupe which Id love to restore and maintain as my daily driver. The things is that Ive driven it for a few months after spending over $3k repairing it at a local reputable garage, only to be severely disappointed when i blew the head gasket again. I have watched a number of your vids over a long period of time now and i see that you are very thorough when it comes to fully restoring the same era Acuras and i must admit that Ive also become a fan of your work as well as become inspired by you as well. If you dont mind, I would like to meet you if at all possible and Id also love for you to give me any information you may have about any mechanic shops here in the valley which provide top tier service for these Acuras of the 90's so that i may avoid being burned as I did when dealing with the local mechanics. My goal is to restore her over the time that Im also driving her so i could really use a mechanic in which I could build trust. Have you got any info to help me out with? If so could you reach me at johnsonrj101@gmail please?
I only wish it was a LS/GS with a 6-speed manual trans. ;) Nice work brining that back. Over the years, people don't source the proper parts and they just get cheap aftermarket crap - like the lights - and these cars usually end up in the scrap yard. At least this is one back to good and hopefully it will be that way for a long time.
Wow you really brought it back to life! I miss my 92 Legend LS so much. I wish I never sold it. One of these days I’ll get me another one. By the way, I have a front nose mask for a Legend Sedan I’d like to give to you if you want it. Let me know!
Tyson Hugie your Acura collection has always had me in awe! Ive got a 91 Legend manual 3.5l project Im trying to complete... but where can I find a MODIFIED engine mount for her? Thanks so much :)
I know what you mean, the 3.5 is not plug and play as it will require some custom mounts. You might have to ask around in the Facebook group "Acura Legend Owners & Enthusiasts" or on the forums.
I have a 1994 coupe and want to get it restored to like-new condition. The front seats and armrest are worn, some door dings, faded paint, and left side lower of dashboard is loose. Any suggestions on getting the parts and work done?
Amazing job! Love that minty fresh interior. Soooo, what are your plans for this beauty? I’d consider keeping it. Sometimes 2 pedals are better than 3.
It's going up for sale soon. I have a couple automatics in the stable already. This was a fun restoration, just keeping another nice Legend on the road.
My Dad had an '88 Legend coupe, gold, auto, super pretty car, but I've heard the 5 speeds had clutch and drivetrain issues. Timeless cars for sure though.
This is the kind of content I'm here for.
Haha, glad you enjoyed!
