Megan and Shannon were married at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. The wedding ceremony was held outside on the shores of Lake Erie with the wedding reception in the convention center. The reception at the Geneva-on-the Lake Convention Center included dancing, toasts and a drag performance.
During her vows, Shannon said, "Megan Anne you're the first person who took time to truly see me. To not run from my scars. To embrace the chaos of my emotions, my family and my friends. You see me without judgment or hesitation. You challenged me, encouraged me, and pushed me to be the best version of myself daily."
During her vows Megan added, "I never dreamed about my wedding growing up. But when I saw you for the first time, I never felt so much clarity about something or someone I knew nothing about."
The toast from the maid of honor included, "Megan is fearless, brilliant, dedicated and loyal. I admire her ability to stay focused on a goal and then just totally crush it. The two make a perfect team and bring out the best in each other."
During his toast at the wedding reception, the best main said, "Before I get started, I just want to take a second to reassure everyone you are not having a fever dream. You are at the wedding of Shannon ..."
