  • Thanks for watching. Just so you know, I am a freelance horn player in the Atlanta area. I'm primarily a low horn specialist (although you might not be able to tell from this video). Recording myself makes me incredibly nervous, so this is kinda like therapy for me. I'm using a Stork Orval 06 mouthpiece on this video.

Appreciate your demo of the xo horn. Your tone is absolutely beautiful as well.

Thank you for doing this review!
Very well played, especially the constant changes between high an low horn excerpts, that must have been really demanding.
The horn looks beautiful, sounds ok - but does not really hold a candle to your 103.
    Sorry to say...

Sorry Mike but your Alex sounds better! Richer sound and clearer articulation, valves sound better too. Just my opinion. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear! 😂

Thanks for the response. Did you listen to the Mozart comparison?

@@michaelwells4609 yes I did. I tried to listen as objectively as I could!! Not saying the XO isn't good.... just preferred the Alex overall ☺️

I agree. But there is a huge price difference between the 2 makes of horn.
