    No, it´s just a funny coincidence of course. Germany were not so strong in 1930 and by 1950 they were still in ruins after the war. In fact, they won 1954 by pure luck (Hungary exausted after 120 minutes in the best team´s game of the competition, the semifinal against Uruguay of course) and maybe even steroids. Uruguay would most probably beat Germany in 1930 or 1950, also in 1954, when Uruguay arguably had their best ever team.

    There was no way the World Cup, was going to get out of England, England against France, England scored it was 100 per cent off side,
    England vs Argentina, German Referee, sent of Argentina’s captain , when the referee was asked why he sent him of, he said, I did not understand what he was saying, but I could read it in his face, Germany vs Uruguay, English referee, penalty for Uruguay was not awarded, then 2 Uruguayan players sent of. It was clear as crystal, get rid of the South Americans, and the Cup is ours. Brazil’s Pele, was butchered by Bulgaria and Portugal, with the referee watching it all. What did England win since 1966?, zero, nothing. But there’s that consolation, we invented football,
    Inventing is one thing, being good at it, is another.

    • @stxa2594
      @stxa2594 Год назад +3

      Remarkable conspiracy theories ... you don't seriously believe Uruguay would have stood the ghost of a chance of winning this World Cup?
      Besides, there's something about Uru or Argentinian players that is a common thread throughout football history: each time they lose they blame it on the referee, they start playing unfair or plain ugly. (Just watch the WC 1990 final match or watch Suarez' biting in 2014, there are umpteen examples of extremely unsportsmanlike conduct.) Troche slapped Uwe Seeler in the face after being sent off. I bet he hoped Seeler would retaliate and get sent off too. Luckily Seeler was a far too decent sportsman. And imagine the police having to enter the pitch in 1966 to send off a player ... the whole Uru squad ought to have been disqualified by FIFA!
      So please stop coming about with childish conspiracy theories.

    Shockingly ignorant and biased script. Where were the incidents which triggered the send-offs? This Anglo/Euro centric view of the ‘dirty S. Americans’ was a construct of the English press, conveniently forgetting that it was European players who freely and shamefully kicked Pele out of the tournament. And what were the police doing in getting involved?
