I have an “oversized queen” bedspread that does that and is perfect.
Hey girl I wonder if you bought a kind size comforter instead of queen it would probably almost cover the bottom & bed skirt so you don’t see the slit 😊
I actually returned the skirt after filming and got a new one with no slit hehe hopefully that turns out better!

Get a piece of foam cut to the size of your headboard, so your headboard will look fuller and also the velvet cover will pull nice a tight over it!
