    Thanks Amy! You are an amazing guide!
    Really hope that the remodeling of Bay Lake Tower looks this good! We stayed in a 2 bedrooms with friends last May and it really needs a refurb!!!

    This room is really well done. I can only hope future hotels at all Disney resorts follow the same design approach.

    Great tour! After watching each of your VDH room tours, I humbly request an Amy (/Paul) Tour of each of the DVC Resort/Room Types please LOL! You are so thorough and answer all the questions I always have when trying to choose between a Resort and/or room type - where are the plugs, what are the bathroom setups, etc. So much more/better info than available on the member website 🙄. Thanks!

      Yes, I agree with this completely, and full room tours of all DVC resorts and room types would be great!

    Beautiful room. Transient tax would make it hard for me to purchase points here though.

    There have been multiple bloggers reporting that a lot of details (HVAC/bath tiles/electrical/pool area) remain incomplete. Did you guys notice that?

    that living room looks so small to me in comparison to the two bedrooms at WDW. Maybe it's just on camera it seems that way.

    So is it only the 2 bedrooms and Grand Villas that have a balcony? It looks like none of the studios do except for garden wing.

    What is the difference between a 2 bedroom villa vs 2 bedroom lock-off villa?

    • @YamKriegs
      @YamKriegs 9 месяцев назад +2

      The second bedroom in the dedicated two bedroom is only connected to the one bedroom (no exterior door) and has two queen beds. In a lock off two bedroom, the second bedroom is a deluxe studio that can also be locked off and be a separate room with its own entrance. It has one queen bed and one couch/Murphy bed.

    It may be these are the nicest DBC rooms now?

    Be warned, the studios do not have any chairs! I've been DVC for 23 years and stayed at most of the WDW DVC resort (and a lot of the other WDW resorts as well). I'm staying at the DVC Discovery Tower at the Disneyland Hotel right now in a regular studio. I have to say this is a huge let down. This is the most uncomfortable DVC room I've ever stayed in. There is no table, but there is a long table height shelf along one wall. There are two really short stools (they might be comfortable for a 8 year old but not for an adult over 4'6"), but no chairs. I really wish I had researched this better before booking a stay here. I've been happy with every DVC room I've ever stayed in at WDW. But there is simply no place to relax, or eat in this room. While the theming sis pretty, the room itself is a massive fail if you want to do more than sleep there. Heck the moderate resorts at WDW would beat this studio. Next time I visit DL I'll go back to staying at the nearby Hilton or Marriott instead and I'll save my DVC points for WDW stays or rent them out instead.

    Is it an American thing to wear shoes indoors? I’ve always wondered why Americans seem to wear their outdoor footwear inside. Nothing like bringing the outdoors in. 🤢

    • @YamKriegs

      Pretty much…I grew up with a mom who had to wear shoes for medical reasons or risk needing an amputation. Some Americans remove shoes in their homes, some don’t. Some keep them on as much as possible for medical reasons. We are always careful, especially in hotels where we don’t know how well the floors have been cleaned.

      I would say most Americans do not wear shoes in their home, but in certain situations like doing a room tour of a timeshare ;-) or only stopping at home briefly before going back outside again, we leave our shoes on. Some of us wear slippers or sandals while at home, but generally not our outdoor shoes.
