It’d be easier to clean than most pet shop cages because it’s a huge area, therefore doesn’t need cleaning too often if you spot clean and there are no hard areas like plastic tubes to scrub like with some unsuitable cages like the Critter Trails etc
With her hamster, for the most part she only has to scoop out the poo from his bed and his sand pit because he is litter trained to were he wont pee everywhere.

if you want to tame your hamster and get him to like you put An old t-shirt in the cage and take him/her out and hold him/her in the bathtub with a towel so your little hammy can get used to your sent and hand feed some treats while you holed your hamster hope this helps

You can provide your ham with an excellent habitat with a little imagination and ingenuity without breaking the bank. Cardboard boxes, toilet paper tubes, and some Elmers glue can give your ham endless fun exploring and nesting.
I digress. Hamsters are expensive pets. The most important thing is for them to be able to burrow. You need a zillion gallons of suitable bedding as per newer research.
