I drive a 2001 F-150 and having a nice aftermarket display makes the truck feel so much newer. This is a fantastic bang for your buck, quality of life improvement. Great video, I look forward to seeing what you share next :)
hey i saw your video right now and your wire harness look different for amplifier because i have grand mercury Ls 95 i could not found that harness for my car
@@AshishKapil-s6l hey! Thanks for watching! My best advice for that is to find a Facebook group for the grand marquis. They would have your answer I bet!
You’ll have to verify the colors that you’ll get from the grand marquis page. The colors on the aftermarket stuff is pretty standard. But ford does whatever they want in their cars. So be sure to line up what they do. Rather than the colors.
Nice video mate. Love your Lincoln. My Alpine head unit has no volume buttons nor a remote. It's bloody annoying. Wish l didn't buy it now. Lol. Watching from Australia 🇦🇺
How's the unit holding up? I just hooked one up in my square body. Im having an issue getting one of my speakers to work that i know is good. Also have you hooked the backup camera? Other than that everything else is working great
Just double check wiring, make sure all the pins look good going into the unit. I just took the Lincoln on a 6 hour one way roadtrip. Still love it. Best $55 radio money could buy in my opinion. Only issue is the lack of volume knob/remote. When finding the updated link I found one with a volume knob. I would install that one next time. But still liking it! Thanks for watching!
I could. But I’m not sure it would be much help. The link had expired and I added a new link. Might be worth it to reach out to the seller and see if they can give you an answer
Other Than the remote being not the best (and mine breaking) It’s been great. Only glitched on me a couple times in almost 10 months. Well worth the price of $60.
@itgarageben Can you explain in more detail why you had to rob the power from the lighter backlight? What does it have to do with the signal wire to your headlights switch? I'm looking to install this unit in a 1991 VW Vanagon Westfalia.
So I just used that because it was tied to the headlights and right there. You can steal switched power from anywhere as long as it ties in with the headlights. Basically giving power to that wire will dim the unit.
Hi bro, thanks for the video Just one quick question, how did you connect carplay/android auto? I wirelessly tried couple of times with my android phone, but it is not doing anything. Any tips would help😀
Hey! So through Bluetooth, but it also uses wifi. The code for mine was 0000 And then it just worked for me. Good luck! Also. I’m using CarPlay if that makes any difference
@@itgarageben Thank's for reply! I tried via Bluetooth but no success. A small difference I saw, your unit has that GPS antenna in the back, while mine doesn't. Maybe that is the issue, or simply mine is just similar model :D I'll post in the comments if I find something out :D Best wishes :D
I was going to use this on a Tri-Amp system, so I need the trigger power wire, when the deck turns on it powers the out 12VDC wire for the amps to come on, does this have that? I have been trying to search for a manual for this.
I was hoping I could use the Video in or Bluetooth in video and this deck would play that, not having to use an external video monitor. I might be asking too much
i wanted to add carplay and all that to my passat and i was looking for something like that when i stumbled upon a Pioneer DMH-A4450BT that i got for like 80 bucks, that saved me from the chinese stuff lol
@@itgarageben no but it would be cool in a 944. It's a 996 I been looking at double din units that kinda look like the PCM but I think this single din would look cool
Yes it is a gamble being different. However, it’s probably made at the same Chinese factory. Also Amazon has the best return policy. So it’s not that big of a gamble. Thanks for watching!

That was exactly my thought! Loving the CarPlay. It’s a huge difference over that $30 cheapo
I have a couple Kei trucks that I’ve imported from Japan and I’ll be installing this unit in them asap! Thanks for the review 👍🏾
They’re plenty good for what they cost!
Been using mine since Dec. no major issues
I’ve got a 91 crown victoria that I was looking to put a radio in. Dash is JUST like your Linc. I may have found a winner.
Heck yeah man!
I subscribed for the Ford Courier content. 😢 Here for the other great projects. Keep on keeping on brother!
Thanks for subbing!
I wouldn’t be opposed to another! I loved that little truck. Unfortunately they all cannot stay..
Nice set up! Great review! Keep it up. That little single din deck is fire for what it's worth 🔥💖🥰😍!
Thanks man!
I love it. After all this time (9 months) my only complaint is the lack of volume knob and remote control
Awesome! My husband’s daily driver could use one of these!
I like your crib set up

I have not hooked up the backup camera.
It looks period correct with. Modern touch
Exactly! I love it and got a ton of compliments
Could you go into the head unit's settings and tell me which Android version it's running?
I could. But I’m not sure it would be much help.
The link had expired and I added a new link.
Might be worth it to reach out to the seller and see if they can give you an answer
@itgarageben It's no problem. I managed to find another listing on Aliexpress.
I bought a similar one. It was $30 works great.
Thanks for watching!
Glad to hear!
13:00 Nah bro, your cam has nothing do to with the Unit. Its just slow
100% it was filming with the phone.
I’ve had the unit for over 6 months now. Never had that issue again.
How it's running now?@@itgarageben
Still runs as “good” as the day I put it in.
Remember, this is a sub $70 unit. So set your expectations accordingly.
But I would buy again.
What is the stereo name is
Thanks for watching!
There is a link in the description.
How do you change the light color on the power button.?
It’s a setting choice in “quick setup” when you first hit the setting “app”
Just ordered for my 99 Camry
Good deal!
I bet you’ll enjoy it!
May get this for my 2000 Explorer got a new bezel and don't want to cut it to install a double din
Do it! It’s good!
I cant get any audio, did you use an external amp? Was there output settings?
I had no issues with audio.
That makes me think you have an amp in your car that needs power. Or just even bypassed to work
Can you hook up subwoofers to this stereo?
I don’t exactly remember, but I think there is the rca outputs for subs.
Did you ever go ahead and install the reverse camera 📸 I just ordered sould all be in today for same car
@danieldubb2053 I have not!
If you get to it, leave another comment on how it went!

How is this radio working out for you and does the gps work
I love it,
It works through your phone only, there is no standalone GPS on this unit
@@itgarageben I know what I’m buying to replace the factory radio in my 89 gnc sierra classic s15
no volume knob?
Correct. That’s the only drawback
I wish they had one for the 1.5 din
Yeah I can’t speak for that, good luck!

How does the audio perform?
For $60, just fine. I’m no audio guy, but it’s fine for me.
Will the volume buttons on your phone turn it down?
I do not know for android auto, but for Apple CarPlay, no you have to use the radio itself
