I will comment here exactly what I commented on their Instagram page. This shouldn't get the hate it deserves, the "enthusiasts" here should understand that majority of the bikers in this country are not enthusiasts, they don't care about the aesthetic. Forget the rain, this will protect bikers from the sun during peak summers. There are many people who ride hundreds of kilometers everyday for work, this is a life saver for them.
It looks like modified E-Riskha (650 CC E-Riksha)... the beauty of biking is to feel the weather..everything wind, rain, and even soil which together brings the feeling of being connected with Nature and feeling of freedom. But a auto if you want weather protection! Remember why someone said "four wheels drive the body, two wheel drive the soul" Though appreciate the efforts making the video.
Something which is more useful and practical than this already exists.I think it's called a riding jacket and pants with rain cover. You know bikes have been here for almost 140 years.None of the inventions like this one succeeded because these are not practical at all. Eg: A rider who goes for an all country trip won't be able to carry this much of extra luggage for a rain situation.He won't fix it permanently due to inconvenience and law regulations,yes mvd will charge a fine for mods like this. And a daily commuter who travels for less than 50km one side will either wait for the rain to get over or find an alternative option for rainy season.I am sure 90 percent will find rain coat more comfortable and practical. At least it will cover your legs too lol.
LOL. Do you realize that rains can last from 20mins to even hrs togather and you are expecting people are happy to wait until rain stops in the middle of their commutes 🤣🤣 Also once rain start, that is when the biggest shortage of cabs and autos happen. You would be waiting for an eternity until you get a ride and even after getting one, you will be charged a kidney as surge price. It is so much better to have this and not worry abt rains altogether
Pls don't mind but, Biking has to be pure biking.....otherwise we can always buy an auto rickshaw and tour across country with more comfort and better economy.
1)Wipers are not there?, 2)So how its helpful in rainy seasons?, 3)Due to normal dust main windscreen can be full of scratch after few rides? which may/will reduce it's visibility on road and also it will be not suitable for night driving specially in rains....... 4)So it seems dangerous for riders after wearing helmet as due to low Visibility and side corners may not be clearly visible, which may result in accidents.

How would it tackle the problem of mud sprinkled by the car/bus/truck tyre when riding in rain on highways the shield will become muddy and it will be difficult to see through
I am using it in Xpulse 200 4v..since 1year,it’s only good for plain and neat roads for other roads highly unstable for pillion with helmet so makers should design it slightly differently for different bikes the base rubber part as the one for himalayan doesn't fit exactly for xpulse Sepal team if needs to push sales,they need to focus on following: 1) Base knobs n nuts(should b thick enough n jerk resistant) 2)Polycarbonate windshield with wiper or polycarbonate should b good quality so that can be used during nights when raining else no use with windshield up as light reflecting 3)Height of canopy should of variable heights ranging from 5’10’’ to 6’3’’ else canopy holder should b able to increase n decrease height And they should hv 1-3 small service centres at bangalore, and other 2 centres..... Else difficult n frustrating . I am using it since 1 year ,satisfaction rating is 35%

Now I am giving my review it’s not so good and not a great product,after sales support need lot of improvement.only guiding on phone won’t fix If it’s saving from wind rain dust and sun It adds to headache of rider n pillion as head gets banged ,the straps and nuts can’t withstand jerks for more than 6months n needs to be changed n SEPAL a big No during Night rains with streets that hv no lights as windshield hv to b raised because rain falls on windshield n lights reflect thus can’t b driven
I commented pretty much the same thing on Instagram about this. This is getting more hate than it should. It might not be for a bike enthusiast. It definitely is not for me. But it has lots of uses for many people. In our country every rider isn't a bike enthusiast but is riding for lack of car or something. Think about this from the perspective of a sales guy in Delhi who needs to have clean shirt at workplace but cannot afford a car (you can argue about a jacket but it's too hot for that and you can almost never save the collars of a shirt with a jacket). Think about a delivery guy who is delivering your food in rainy reason. Or in general, guys who have to ride a motorcycle throughout they day, not because they like it but because it's their job. It can also be for someone who wants to ride but isn't very comfortable with what we enthusiasts call pure riding experience.
This is a very good initiative by sepal... Its very useful product for every commuter, looks like works through out every climatic conditions! Really looking forward to purchase it. Superb review and unboxing @ Bullet Guru.

That's a part for top side but sidewise during rainy season is not adjustable.. I didn't like this especially for long ride.. What is your view on this
It will not make 100% rain proof but if we talk about riding comfort then Yes it will be very comfortable to ride in rain wo kisi bhi side se ho apka up body tha thigh pe directly rain hit nahi karega
Rain and sun are not always directly on our head. Rain is usually sideways so is sunlight, so basically it's functional only if it's raining straight or sun is directly above one's head...but it's not bad either if it's made street legal...
This could be useful only to those who work as a delivery executive...As a biker i will never install such things as it looks stupid and rain coat is a much better choice

It will surely screw up with mileage. I bet the upper section will move like crazy in windy conditions. I want to be optimistic, but the product looks a bit too much for highway speeds. In my opinion, it will only be good for local short rides during rainy season. Great review video, Missed a view of the product as a third person while in motion?
This is much better looking than the plastic cover for scooter. It has a cool look and definitely it is very much useful both in sun and rain. Great concept and great design.

It will surely screw up with mileage. I bet the upper section will move like crazy in windy conditions. I want to be optimistic, but the product looks a bit too much for highway speeds. In my opinion, it will only be good for local short rides during rainy season.
