Man, I hate to sound like a broken record but a big "thank you so much" to Coach for these detailed guides. With all of the different sections at the beginning I can tell this one took even more effort than usual. It is incredibly rare to find this level of depth and polish in League videos and it's so refreshing to see someone take this approach. Clickbaity 10 minute videos are easy to produce and milk for views. Consuming or producing them is like going to the store and buying a pre-made salad. It's harder to make dense, hour long videos that delve deep into a champion or concept and actually teach you something significant. They're like planting your own garden and waiting to harvest it, then making your own food from scratch. One is easy and will get you through lunch, the other is hard work but will feed you for a lifetime. CC has me in love with this role again, and making me want to improve rather than just play for fun. Can we all please just take a moment to appreciate this guy? There are maybe a few dozen people in the world who are even capable of creating this stuff, and almost none that choose to do it. Spread the word, share this guy with everyone you know who would appreciate his content. This guy deserves to make a good living doing this if that's what he wants to do. edit: clarity
Wow what a beautiful comment. Thank you so much Blade, really means a lot to me to hear this sort of thing. I put a lot of effort into my vids and to see people getting all this value from it and learning makes me happy. Appreciate you tuning in and I'll continue to do more great content for you all! Hope your keeping well during this tough time :)
I also like to watch PekinWoof. Well, he doesn't do such detailed guides as CC but his commentary has also quite a depth and one can learn a lot from that.
Two years later, item rework, durability patch… and this guide is still amazingly useful. You’ve created something amazing. Thanks for all the hard work.
This is one of the best videos you’ve made. It helps that you’re really passionate about it. Very concise and articulate. Keep up the good work Curtis.
Legitimately one of the best guides I've EVER seen. This shows more than just how to succeed on Galio - its an excellent way of showing the mentality and utilization of threat generation and how to work with your jungler. Thanks so much for this! Earned yourself a sub, bud!
It was amazing how fast the hour and nine minutes flew by. Very informative but also very enjoyable to watch even as a new league player. Keep up the great work!
I know I’m not the first person to say this, but thank you coach Curtis for such an in-depth guide. Most other “in-depth” guides I find are just a one game review that gives one rune set and one item build. This guide (along with all of your other guides) was so much for helpful because you gave many options and situations that I could adapt into my games. I picked up Galio around a week ago and didn’t really know what to do with him. After watching the guide, I’ve climbed from g4 0lp to g3. And now I’m on a 7 game win streak, and a 10 game galio win streak. Thank you!
I absolutely love this. He is 5 minutes into the game, really like 3 1/2 minutes of actual playing and it’s taken 13 minutes. The amount of info is absolutely amazing
Hey there Curtis, first off i want to take a second to tell you how much i appreciate all the hard work that you put into making these videos! However I also wanted to ask if you could do a Guide for Talon any time soon because even tho he´s pretty similar to Qiyana, his lvl 2 Power spike makes him a pretty special pick and i seem to need some help abusing that even harder.
I second the talon request, I've been really building my champ pool off of you're guides and in the ad assassin slot, qiyana is fun but a bit over my skill level tbh.
Dude i really loved the example to explain the concept of "threat" hahah, it was very useful to understand the identity of Galio. Really high quality content as per usual
Keep this content coming Curtis, even your explanation of the runes is better than anyone else is doing rn. Knowing champ identity and goals for different phases of the game really helped me improve.
I haven't finished the video yet, but I love the idea of having a "Misconceptions" section. I think it helps to understand the champion identity a lot better. Before this video, I was thinking of trying him out, and I was under the impression that he was a roam-heavy champ that struggled into AD champs. The "Misconceptions" section helps to rectify my impression before the VODs even begin, which I think helps the player understand the champion even better. Great idea!
Coach Curtis you’re the absolute goat. I’m level 7 galio but have had trouble climbing in soloq. You’ve helped changed my mindset on how to play this absolute unit by explaining threat and his identity. Keep it up man you’re doing great work
Hey Coach, I see a lot of comments like mine is going to be, but a little more encouragement never hurts: your videos are absolutely the best quality out here, and there's simply nothing I seen before that even gets close. You describe situations really in depth, instead of posting a "MY EX CAME BACK TO ME AFTER PLAYING THIS BUILD - HOW TO CARRY WITH GALIO" you hit us up with more than an hour of quality content, giving us a massive foundation on how to play this champion in mid lane. Keep it up!
thank you so much for making this guide, i’m indescribably grateful. i’ve been playing Galio for the last three months and it wasn’t until today that i saw your video that i actually feel like i know my champ. you’re the fucking goat ♥️
Great job mate. You've really found a good framework to work from here. I've watched SOOOOO many of your videos and I truly enjoy where you are landing here on how you present your information - both verbally but as well stylistically. Thanks so much. Best videos I've seen and I always look forward to opening a new one.
I've played this game for five years now, and this is the single best guide i've ever watched. Please keep up the good work, and don't stop improving because of the great feedback, you can achieve much more with this level of quality and effort. Thanks for the content!
Your channel will grow soo fast. This is the best league of legends guide/ tutorial channel i have ever seen. This video is One hour and nine minutes of a pure lesson. There's big difference between watching your videos and a random guy's guide. I m silver and I watched your ahri video, played some games I won all of them. Thank you!
Coach my man, how did you know 😁😁😁 I always loved Galio, and I recently picked him back up, he is helping me climb because of his utility, early game damage, and champ match ups, can't wait to go through this. Thanks for this coach.
lol this is my first video for him and is actually more useful than 95% of lol guides out there...like especially for me being unranked or low silver max...lol i sub and notified without even realizing
Hey, just wanted to say that I really appreciate you making this guide. I'm a mid main, but typically I play ranged champs instead of melee so this play style is really different for me. This guide was super helpful, and this is the first time where I actually found it really easy to understand and absorb a guide. You did a great job! Thank you!
Had been playing Galio mid, typed "galio mid" on youtube to see some challenger gameplay for early, first vid, just watched the whole thing. Amazing. Thank you Coach
I want to echo what some comments have said on this and your other videos. So often vods labeled as instructional are simply gameplay videos where the streamer talks at the same time. While those can be useful in some situations - I would hardly call them instructional. Your videos are truly instructional and the community greatly appreciates them. I realize that doing it the way you do takes more time and effort so I want to make sure to congratulate and thank you on the top quality content.
Another superb video Curtis, I love watching your videos. The best guides online by far! I'm going to pick up Galio and see how I get out following your guidance from this video! Thanks again.
Was just looking to pick up a beefy boy AP champ like Galio, Malphite, or Chogath. Great guide, and the new format looks great. The time you put into it really shows. Keep it up brother
Second time in a row I try out a new champion and the day after you post a guide. First time with Azir, now with Galio. Thanks for the personalized content!
Never seen a man get so excited over some magic statue, great guide once again, you learn ppl so much with your content, i think you're underrated af. Keep the good work Curtis !
I love your guides man. Your gameplay breakdown is so simple and effective. Its the closest thing I can getto go here do this dumbass and I needed that. Thank you
Really nice format (with the timestamps in description and the early explanation on runes/what to do with first waves etc) hope you keep doing it like this, great video
Your guide presentation is getting better and better, I really enjoy this template you've settled on. Keep up the great work, and thank you for the guides!
Hey Curtis! Excellent video once again and this format is unreal. Not really a Galio player but can't help but watch the video anyway so satisfying the way all the info is structured.
FINALLY a proper galio guide and appreciation for this amazing champ! Actually my first time checking your channel, love the video, love the details! Totally subscribed as soon as i heard “the beauty of galio” Other than that I would really appreciate if you could go more in deep into the runes im trying to experiment a little and cant quite decide which to stick with... thanks lots and keep up the good work!
Hey Curtis, I’m a gold 1 mid laner and jungler. Ur videos really help me out to understand wave management and overall decision making in mid to late game. It also makes me a better jungler understanding lane matchups and priorities. Loving those in depth explanations!
Only 20 minutes into the video and I can't stop wanting to play Galio mid and just win games. Thanks, Curtis for these amazing videos although they won't let me sleep because I can't stop watching and replicating.
Hello Curtis ! I just wanted to say that your content is amazing, I have been playing league since S3 and even if I reached mid diam (max D2 EUW), I always thought I lack someone that could coach me midlane at a higher elo. I'm very impressed by the quality of your analysis. Please continue your in depth analysis, I love having someone that like to push the limits of league theory like I do ! Thank you so much !
ok this guide is amazing. I'm a Silver 1 jungler switching to mid-lane for our tier 4 clash team. i just played vs a Plat 4 Zoe and did pretty decent and got the honors from the team. I love the macro and tanky engage with him and a surprising amount of damage.
Damn bro. The power of this guide is over 9000! The worse midlaner to have on opposing team as jungler... Thanks for teaching everybody how to play him correctly xD.
just won my first ranked game with galio because of you thank you for this guide adding him to the rotation. im thinking about checking out your ekko or vlad mid guide to add another champ to the rotation although zoeys have been terrorizing me
This vid right here is Perfect!!!!!!!!!! you went over runes and why to pick them you did multiple build paths and you did multiple examples of how to play. it was awesome. the only thing I would hope for is "mini games" lol i just love those :P anyway thanks man! im in iron right now and i havent been able to get out yet but im learning a ton. i would love to get some personal coaching from you.
@@CoachCurtis I looked at the patreon if you had a 30 dollar option i would totally join but i cant do the 50 on my budget right now my man :P maybe if you get more free time you can do a 30 dollar tier to just setup learning objectives and such !
I'm visiting from the future to tell you the words you are looking for at 41:25 are "Shark Mindset", which I just learned from your Vex Guide. Also thanks for the awesome content.
Hey Curtis thank you so much for this guide. I bought Galio and I never got around to using him but after seeing this video I'm going to try to add him to my champion pool.
I really like picking Mordekaiser into Galio because i feel like once i have Protobelt i can almost keep up with his waveclear. Also i can win most trades and if the enemy jungler decides to punish me i still have my ultimate. Maybe i have never played vs a good Galio or this is just possible in my low plat elo ;). Anyways as usual amazing video. The amount of detail and information you put in your guides has yet to be matched on youtube. I will definetly give galio a shot and see if he works out for me aswell ;) Keep it up Curtis.
Appreciate it man. I think Mord is actually quite good into Galio, but still mord is very vulnerable to ganks since galio can chain CC you for so long.
hi, Curtis! can you please make a section in your guides where you explain how to play AGAINST this champion? just a few basic moments. it would be rly helpful
I really enjoy your guides, and this one is no different. I thought Galio was a boring mid support but you changed my mind so I'm now trying it myself and it's going really well so far, not to mention that it's a lot of fun ! Thanks for the content, as always !
Great guide, covers pretty much everything you need to know about Galio. He's a really simple champion to learn, just try him in a couple games. He the most mana of any champion at level 1 (500 mana) so you can spam abilities and Q early in lane without worrying about that. Really fun and easy champion.
Love it Curtis! Galio is one of may favorite champs. At 1:01:00 you could use Galio’s E the opposite direction to get yourself on the other side of him, maybe preventing khazix from having to flash.
I am really new and have no idea on my personal play style, I really appreciate this video but would appreciate so aid from more experienced players. But this video is amazing
Thank you so much coach, i was just trying to play mid lane for my clan, my favourite mid laner is galio, i like tanks, so i was googling galio guide. I saw your video in recommended, i watched the whole video, it was simple to understand and i made some screenshots, dude, love your content, keep on going, if u havent yet, try to do ornn top lane guide, you just got a new sobscriber. Love you man
Thanks for the video man - I've been picking up Galio and Cho'gath mid recently, and this gave some really good pointers. I'd suggest you make a part of your future guides in practice-tool where you show off some combos. With protobelt, I'm not sure whether to E -> Protobelt -> W -> Q, or Protobelt -> W -> E -> Auto -> Q, etc...
It really depends on the circumstance, most of the time though you are either using protobelt to get into W range and then E'ing after. OR E-W-Q-AA- Proto to chase with AA's
Awesome video man, I’ve had my eye on the channel for a bit and have recently become a dedicated viewer because your content is soooo much more in depth than all these click bait youtubers. Great substance, you’re good at putting the info in a very easy to understand and implement fashion. Also, those Galio passive buffs were way bigger than a lot of people think, you can clear waves so much easier and faster now 😂
opponent ahri quarter health hugging the mid-tower against my galio. Ahri : stranger danger !!!! Galio( nearly full hp): Fight me small warrior person. On a serious note, I love your guides and the amount of effort and details you put in them and it's amazing to see your analyzation patterns and it is honestly fun to learn from them . Thank you and keep up the great work please :)
Man, im from Argentina, and im glad to had discovered this channel. This is very helpfull for me, and keep doing analysis like this, cuz its such a complete analysis of a champion above the entire game. KEEP IT! Know my english is not that good at writing but i promise, i get to understand you. See ya, and im already suscribed!
Awesome guide man. Really appreciate the insights. Would have liked to see a matchup like Fizz/Zed where you show how to punish melee champs in lane. Or even yasuo/sylas since those probably give most galio players a bit more trouble.
I would love to see a video on how to deal with some of the tougher matches, namely Lucian. He get's picked into me a surprising amount and it feels like its really hard to not fall behind early. Either way, thank you for bringing Galio back into my champ pool. Absolutely love your content!
Curtis this is great! Though the how to play mid guides were good, this guide is much better, more detailed because your showing do's and dont's and how to plays with your experience shaving off hours of experimentation and failing for us. Please keep up this level of detail for future guides if you feel.
Great video, I believe you didn't mention one thing. E mechanics, you can "dodge" stuns. For example when you are in the veigar cage (middle) you can E into wall and get past it when you first part of E touches cage. OR you can dodge fizz R knock up when casting it the very last milisecond before fish appears. Theres a lot more of that, a lot i didint test. The easiest one is probably tf's gold card. I would love to see this E machanic montage of different CC!
@@CoachCurtis I can definitely understand why you had so much fun with the video. I never touched Galio before because I thought his damage was too little. But I was so far wrong wow. Just push the lane safely and then go chasing opponents :D No one even understands his threat range in Gold I LOVE IT !!!!!! And lets not start talk about nimbus cloak i feel like a Ferrari but i am a Bulldozer crushing peoples lives! Thank you thank you for open a new world of lol for me!!
I hate to play against this champ. Great video though. Might as well say an early congrats on 20,000. Glad to see you start to grow as I have been a fan for 2 1/2 months. Way to go coach
Damn dude you keep hitting all the champions in a video that I'm picking at mid lane right now. First Azir, now Galio, and just picked up Pantheon. Trying to "spread my wings" as a newer player outside of Ahri.
Appreciate the feedback man :) Thanks for tuning in! Check out my patreon for coaching stuff
@@CoachCurtis I looked at the patreon if you had a 30 dollar option i would totally join but i cant do the 50 on my budget right now my man :P maybe if you get more free time you can do a 30 dollar tier to just setup learning objectives and such !
@@CoachCurtis I ended up joining the $5 dollar tier for now maybe in the future the $30 will come out !
Give him a shot :)
this is probaply on of the best guides on youtube. You really helped me thx dude
I will definetly give galio a shot and see if he works out for me aswell ;)
Keep it up Curtis.
That's a super good idea! I'll do that for sure next time
I really enjoy your guides, and this one is no different. I thought Galio was a boring mid support but you changed my mind so I'm now trying it myself and it's going really well so far, not to mention that it's a lot of fun ! Thanks for the content, as always !
Awesome to hear! Glad I could change your opinion :)
Great point! Thanks for the tip :) My pleasure mate
straight up best champion guide on youtube
I am really new and have no idea on my personal play style, I really appreciate this video but would appreciate so aid from more experienced players. But this video is amazing
I'm loving this series, great content! If you take requests, I'd love to hear about how to play Talon mid
It's on the list :)
great call! been killin it with him, feels sooo strong. Really great guide thanks!
My pleasure man! Keep killin it :)
Been waiting on this one for a while. Thanks Curtis!!! Best coach on RUclips!
Hope it was worth the wait Walker :)
Love you man
Appreciate the sub man !
I’ve been waiting for this.
Hope it was worth the wait!
I love the champion identity part in these guides
Thanks for the video man - I've been picking up Galio and Cho'gath mid recently, and this gave some really good pointers.
I'd suggest you make a part of your future guides in practice-tool where you show off some combos. With protobelt, I'm not sure whether to E -> Protobelt -> W -> Q, or Protobelt -> W -> E -> Auto -> Q, etc...
It really depends on the circumstance, most of the time though you are either using protobelt to get into W range and then E'ing after. OR E-W-Q-AA- Proto to chase with AA's
Awesome video man, really helped with my Galio gameplay!
Awesome video man, I’ve had my eye on the channel for a bit and have recently become a dedicated viewer because your content is soooo much more in depth than all these click bait youtubers. Great substance, you’re good at putting the info in a very easy to understand and implement fashion. Also, those Galio passive buffs were way bigger than a lot of people think, you can clear waves so much easier and faster now 😂
Appreciate the support mate. Yeah the Galio passive is actually nuts I love it. Get that elo while you can before they nerf him imo
opponent ahri quarter health hugging the mid-tower against my galio.
Great Galio guide! Thanks again Curtis!
No problem mate :)
Appreciate it man! Thanks for the subscribe :)
Awesome guide man. Really appreciate the insights. Would have liked to see a matchup like Fizz/Zed where you show how to punish melee champs in lane. Or even yasuo/sylas since those probably give most galio players a bit more trouble.
Here, we like then watch. Also, 20k subs pog
POGG
wow this video has so much work put into it! al for free! appreciate the mid lane coaching guides :)
My pleasure Noah :)
Nice guide man. Beauty. Keep up the great work.
Great guide Curtis!!! congrats!!
Yo man just discovered this channel. Very nice and detailed. Helps a lot. subbed!
Appreciate the sub man!
So good, I'm going to start playing this champ i think, ty for the guide. I appreciate the effort you put on this kind of videos
My pleasure mate!
Wow Coach Curtis, I was trying to play and learn Galio for a while now and then u popped up at the right time. LOL! XDDD Thanks for this.
My pleasure Disi!
Thats a lot of great work, and nice explain what to do. Thank you!
I would love to see a video on how to deal with some of the tougher matches, namely Lucian. He get's picked into me a surprising amount and it feels like its really hard to not fall behind early. Either way, thank you for bringing Galio back into my champ pool. Absolutely love your content!
Yeah I'll have to cover that at some point :)
Appreciate it man!
Been waiting for this Coach! thank you for always being on it! love your content...
My pleasure Henry, hope it was worth the wait
You are my favorite youtuber right now! This is the exactly the stuff I want to see when it comes to League of Legends.
Thanks Albert!
Hey Curtis big thank you for your awesome videos!! Keep it up bro!
Thanks Vincenzo!
Curtis this is great! Though the how to play mid guides were good, this guide is much better, more detailed because your showing do's and dont's and how to plays with your experience shaving off hours of experimentation and failing for us. Please keep up this level of detail for future guides if you feel.
I'll continue this level for sure, I'v been slowly improving and I'm glad people have noticed!
Yeah thats true there is actually a big skillcap with the usage of Galio E. Thanks for tuning in man
Man Thank you so much seriously just won 3 games in a row just in Gold 1 but Galio feels pretty OP never played him before btw :D
Yep!! Feels so nice right?!
Appreciate the continual support Daniel :) means alot
I am a bit late to this video but dang thank you coach for making me excited to learn my favorite character better.
Amazing videos and great sectioning of the subjects!
Appreciate it Philip
Damn dude you keep hitting all the champions in a video that I'm picking at mid lane right now. First Azir, now Galio, and just picked up Pantheon. Trying to "spread my wings" as a newer player outside of Ahri.
Oooft that's lucky for you then haha.
Fantastic video as always, best lol content out there by far. Any chance of a vel'koz guide in the future?
yeah for sure in the future! Thanks man
Great vid as usual, boss. I would love to see a heimer mid guide please, i wanna know how its done from you.
