your an awesome teacher, I love your approach... if it sounds good then it's good. So many musicians are snobs to any genres beside their own. Nice to hear someone with an open mind.
dude, fuck man. this is the shit. ive been learnin to play guitar for 3 or 4 months now playin every day tryna mob learning the basics. stumbled upon your vids and im stoked out of my mind. this ambient post rock psychedelic shit is what ive always wanted to learn and all your vids are a stepping stone to learning that. got a lot to learn but im stoked. subscribed as fuck man thank you.
These vids helps me learn the ideas of all these different styles. Bands sometimes tend to stray from their original sound (sometimes a good thing for innovation) and I get lost in thinking everyone-in-this-genre-plays-this-way. The idea of genres aren't always good since definitions add limitations, but it helps me understand what I'm listening to.
Corey i love your channel and thank you for all your lessons i swear you are the most innovative talented unique guitarist ever... So much genius... Keep this going you are very much appreciated
'My motto is if it sounds good it is good and don't let anybody else tell you otherwise cause well, they're probably full of shit' - Couldn't agree more. Inspiring quote. :)
wow that sounded good, wasn't watching when I first say this, thought forsur there was a backing track! Reminds me of Maudlin of the Well, you should check them out and maybe do a video on some of their style!
I've been wanting to upgrade the SG for some time now. Perhaps when I get the opportunity I could try that combination of Seymour Duncan JB/59s. Do you think they would be suitable?
yeah man, your playing wonderful, your instrument very nice & have amazing sound. can you say to me about your guitar name, model, customization & your effect? please if possible, offer to me more guitar for this genre? thanx man \\m//
You know Reindeer eat magic mushrooms?, look it up its been filmed on a doco even...lol no joke.. any ways what a great oldie but goodie!! Wish we had a psychedelic pack would pick that puppy up fast..GREAT Lesson my friend as always..Love the old corey attiude "dont really give a shit what the chord is called" plus the classic "they are prob full of shit..their are no rules in music" love it mate...the good old days hahaha!!
When you said "To be honest I don't really give a shit what the name of the chord is, I just care about the sound." I thought... "I DON'T CARE I LOVE IT!" Please tell me why... @.@
@@CoreyHunter yeah, much more, but i don't think you've gotten what makes sound psychedelic. It's not delays and rever or whatever effect or scale, it comes from psychedelic experience. And when you hear that sound, it instantly reminds feelings which impossible to explain, until you get that experience. look at this - extremely psychedelic - Morgan Delt - Make My Grey Brain Green. but again, it's impossible to get even close to understanding of phenomenon till you try. don't think you need it though
"To be honest I don't really give a shit what the name of the chord is, I just care about the sound." You sir, understand us.
"To be honest I don't really give a shit what the name of the chord is" true that

Agreed. I love his videos for that reason too.
Love your tutorials and that thing about "there are no rules in music, if it sounds good, it is good". I agree on that.
Thanks for sharing

Beautiful music! I feel inspired now, thank you!
Yes. I was trained to read from an early age. Some students use the William Leavitt method when studying with me. A very good book, by the way.

Aula top, gostei da ambientação. Muito zen music...Gostei muito.
Eu adoro usar Reverb em meus solos e um pouco de Flanger.
Harder to play than SG, but better sound IMO. Features active EMGs 81/85s - very nice, clear tones.

The faraway bacon learn to respect
Try Tame Imapala.
if it sounds good it is good -Malmsteen
Yngwie said that? Cool.
Corey Hunter Indeed he did, its in one of his guitar vids here on YT. Like your vids, and especially your willingness to explore the psychedelic realm
now all we have to do is define what "good" means,
This is what I’m trying to be on. 😭
EPIC
What make/model guitar is that? Looks pretty sweet...
yeah man, your playing wonderful, your instrument very nice & have amazing sound. can you say to me about your guitar name, model, customization & your effect? please if possible, offer to me more guitar for this genre?
thanx man \\m//
Man, if that little improv was truly improv then that was good. If it wasn't, what song is it from?
Tremelo disabled - I'm a happy guy, lol.
Hi Sir! How do we get in touch for a business promotion?
My website has a contact page. geminiguitar.com.au
He seems like David Gimour in 70´s, seemsn´t he?
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
Izzi Snapp Yeah, man!
Gimour?

You god

Isn`t he?
jesus playing psychedellic rock... cool...
Can anybody recommend me electric guitar songs that somewhat sound like this and are relatively slow but sound very sad but also very calming/relaxing
Try Hammock. I love them.
I think your parents meant to name you Jimmy Floyd...
dude, do you ever blink?
Don't think he ever tried psychedelics.. Doesn't sound psych at all, check Hendrix "Are you experienced?"
Happy to report I haven't. And there's more to the Psychedelic genre than Hendrix.

No thanks.
@@CoreyHunter i mean, don't teach to sound "psychedelic". it pointless) especially when you don't know what you are talking about)
