Important to note that Absolute Zero increases the attack speed of other ice monkeys by 50%, so it does buff the icicle impale as well. Also it seems you forgot to change the description, it still says glue lol. That said, great video, fun challenge.
If you get 502 ice, it synergizes with the other ice monkeys. 520 doesn't work on already frozen Bloons because it doesn't have refreeze. Normally 520 is better, but with other ice monkeys around 502 is way better.
I love watching these because it shows what each tower is capable of. There were a couple of towers I never considered in my playthroughs that I use almost all the time now
First Strike beats round 100 and loses to 97, but only when you have to wait for the cooldown at the beginning of the round. In that case it needs 7 activations for 97 and only 5 for 100, because one of the fortified ZOMGs gets damaged by the splash damage of the missile and pops into BFBs.
theres another way you can lose to 97 but not 100 thats actually not that hard, but its not really a combo: if youre saving up for a tier 5 that will kill the BAD (and 97), and haven't afforded it yet (but will after 98 and 99)
oh theres another way i just thought of - it might not happen on resort, but if youre relying on an ability to kill the bad (e.g. spike storms or perma charge) and you used it at the end of 96, the ZOMGs can potentially get through before your ability comes back idk if it counts though, since it will only happen if you misplay because youre not thinking about 97 actually wait, i tested a little because i was curious how specific it has to be to matter, and... most towers i tested either couldn't kill the bad, or killed round 97 even when you miss one ability usage so maybe it can still come up (esp since i never tested hero abilities) but its a REALLY small edge case

I think Ice combos are my fave tower over all I find myself spamming ice abd glue together just for the fun of watching things move extremely slowly hahaha as always SJB thank you for all your work I so enjoy all of your content this series of chimps runs have been the highlights of my viewing
@@arthena2130 the debuff towers are the real champs =] sadly idk if they will ever do ice or glue paragons... But having 4 players do max buffed super brittle and super glue with 4 glue storms on the side is better than a Paragon
so i have stated this but you can solo chimps with your rule with the monkey village because it does have popping power at teir 5 going top path however you can use it to power up your hero
This has been an amazing series to watch Chris love these long videos. You should make a series on testing out all the heroes on chimps showing their strengths and weaknesses. use some support and try to beat chimps with different strategies with every hero on different maps to show what their Best at. And what synergies work best.
Ice towers are my favourite underrated tower. The Super Btittle and Icicle Impale have carried me through a couple of late runs. I've also just finished getting the 500 golden bloons so I think I am definitely a fan
I wonder if this would have been easier with something such as ezili or maybe pat fusty since both can do quite a bit against moabs and are cheaper. I was wrong about the refreeze part and embrittlement regardless, a cool thing about this challenge is that it also acts as an axis challenge, which is where you have to finish chimps with all three tier 5s of a tower
I reckon ezili would have been perfect, but not many people like to use her unfortunately. Edit: I have actually tried with ezili quite a few times and I don’t actually think it’s possible to beat 98 while also saving enough money for level 20 ezili by round 100, so maybe Churchill is the best choice. EDIT AGAIN - IT IS POSSIBLE - I managed to do it on balance, where ezili levels up much faster.

Til brittle without refreeze cannot apply extra damage effect to slowed Bloons from other ice effects. Lame Also, Chris and OP, did you know brittle and super brittle stack? Both Debuffs apply. Best to get a 402 and 502 it sounds.
As an European, hearing about selling paid-vacation time(like what??) sounds terrible. Like literally, having time to rest is so much big of a deal in the US that it's hard to imagine in Europe, where you're even forced to take paid days off..
I love attempting your challenges and taking what I've learned from watching you do it and putting my own spin on them. After a few dozen tries I was able to do ice monkey only on resort with ezili, however I couldnt buy a super britle instead spending around 50k or so on ezili to get her to 20 by 100.
I think Churchill and ice are totally doable. The easy way would be getting CH lvl20. But anyway, I gave this experiment a quick try. With an ice platform and 502 super-brittle on it, SB can hit BAD all over the place. On my best run, I managed to pop everything down to MOABs.
I don't know what you're gonna do after this. But I think that Pairs of towers doing CHIMPS without heroes could be interesting; like a finding the best pair of towers for CHIMPS series or something.
You can beat round 100 with the three ice monkeys and lvl 20 Adora very easily. I don't know if you could get there with a lvl 20 Adora but if you manage it it's easy. I don't know if this is due to balance changes made after you recorded this video or not but I figured I would share. I tested in sand box with a 5-2-0, 2-5-0 and a 2-0-5 ice monkey for reference. Edit: I forgot about the camo whites. I think that makes the challenge impossible with Adora.
I'd consider anything that isn't in the main game's declared mechanics, as cheating. Coincidentally, why would ezili's single fictional use be cheating?

I feel like Ice Tower doesn't get enough love. Ice Tower 0-2-5 path is so freaking good up to BADs that it's a must have for me if I'm playing a short map

The combo of Super Brittle, Icicle Impale, and a quick-firing tower like Churchy is indeed potent against MOABs. I think your worry about DDTs when getting top path for Snowstorm is exaggerated- Cryo Cannon eats those titans for Christmas dinner. 20:20 Indeed, slowing MOABs is satisfying. Throw in a bottom-path glue gunner and some boomers, and it feels like you can stop them in their tracks!
You'd do much more damage to the round 100 BAD if you put Churchill above the water track intersection. He would shoot sooner, still reach a crossfire on the small loop, and shoot sooner again on anything headed to the exit.
Nk should embrace Geraldo's awesomeness and make an achievement for 1tc with him on scrapyard, unfortunately they probably plan to just keep nerfing him
Did you know that if you activate the snowstorm ability when you have absolute zero then all ice monkeys attack 50% faster for the duration of the snowstorm. Using this you could have timed this to made your icicle impale better and maybe beat it in your first playthrow
Did you forget that embrittlement strips camo? You kept talking about needing top cross path for camo, it’s needed if you want to hit leads, aka ddts, but embrittlement should clear all other camo, especially on this track.
Since the cold snap strips camp off balloons and can target them my strategy if I attempted this would’ve been Adora and I would’ve used the remaining money on blood sacrifice for level 20
surprised you didnt use arctic wind to freeze the water for a slightly better position on the icicle impale? unless you already tried that positioning and it was worse? but id have expected it to be better in the water there
You absolutely need refreeze on the super brittle dude. Your super Brittle does so little damage because the blimps are already frozen. Thats the only way to synergize AZ with embritlemen.
I am always shocked that paid time off in a job is so special to people in the US, while we here (germany) have about 30 days a year on average + 10-13 holidays that are of course paid and off work and up to 6 weeks at full salary in case of sickness until your salary gets reduced.
although i love your dedication to your wife, im on 120 hrs vacation and 40 hrs paid leave/sick time after 8 yrs on the job- blue collar/ 34 an hr..no stress assembly, if i dont use them i recieve them in the form of a paycheck every january. lol if i want more time off its possible covid exposure.

I found another solution, 7x 240 Spike Storm and 7x 302 Glue Gunner.

Don't know how much it would've helped but you can place ground units on the water in the radius of the snowstorm

Geraldo isn't really a single tower, it's more like unlocking 'alternate towers' mode.
Churchill ap shells (Level 3) allows him to pop zebra black all that and adds moab damage with later being fortified and ceramic damage
