    I've been trying to tie this knot for a couple of days, I finally got it after after watching your video. This is the first one that shows the second strand going BEHIND the left hand stand on your finger and through the middle. All the others block the view with their hand. Thank you 🙏🏽

    Thanks for a great easy explanaition. You seem to be the only one actually teaching others how to succeed. I’ve watched so many other tutorials for this knot and all are unclear and frustraiting. You are a great trainer :)

    • @joeftan
      @joeftan 2 года назад

      I agree! You made it much easier to learn. You took the time to show the path, and didn’t just show each step just once, with your hand covering half of the rope, like others often do.

    Great tip about the working end. If you have this attached to something, you can still keep track of where you are, also rather then saying around this cord here, "the working end" was a great reference point; especially for me. I don't have to make a lot of these, and this video is quick and easy to follow. Actually will probably always remember how to make the knot now, because of you!! THANKS!!

      You should make your own youtube tutorial on the d.k. An interesting fact is that you should start becoming a writer by writing two books. One is the stuff you have to tell, and the other is how to write a book.

    Sean, by far the best and easiest demonstration of the diamond knot I have yet to experience. I am new to EDC and decided on lanyards and attractive beads. No doubt a fine EDC and accompanying lanyard replete with a classic paracord knot is a highly-desired skill I acquired. Thank you very much. PS, comments about your conversation when you should be demonstrating are insulting and unworthy and show a lack of appreciation for how I had to spend hours watching others make it difficult instead of the three minutes it took me to understand the intricacies. Best and warm regards,

    The part I always didn't see was that last bit where the string went out of view around the working bit of string from the finger.

    ...I love this knot...if you want a round beautiful button...pull and tighten the loop that was around your finger into the center...it will hang onto a center strand and close beautifully...then you can leave both strands OR cut one off and melt leaving the one strand...thanks...been watching you for years...

    I find that when tightening the knot, I can push on all sides of the knot in between pulling the cords tight and it usually works the slack out. Although you could pull the slack through if you want to be sure. I just think it takes a bit more time.

    4:00 is where I always mess up even when I watch this video 😣 Which I still have to watch this every time I do one of these…. I’ve only done 6 so far though so hopefully I’ll memorize it eventually and not screw up the last part.
    The bad part about these knots is how much paracord you need to use and how much extra is left you have to cut off… I wish there was an easier way with less cord used. I’ve tried less cord but seem to always need a lot.
    Anyway thanks for your parcord options and the video. I only found one other brand that is as nice and as cheap.

    So, I'm acquiring this new skill, in fact, I'm just starting. It sure took me a while to tie this knot, but I got it. I actually tried to learn it on four different sites, but failed. Finally, RUclips's AI led me to your page. The combination of videography and instruction worked for me. Thanks to you, my repertoire includes the monkey's fist, the snake knot, and the two strand diamond knot. This is fun, challenging, and I have a use in mind for these skills, but if I didn't this would still be a good to acquire while suffering from the "corona virus house arrest syndrome". I really did not know what the phrase, "cabin fever" meant until we were attacked by the Chinese Flu.
