Swans are beautiful creatures.
What a beautiful sight! Fantastic captures of the swans flying, landing, and taking off!
One swan swam through the puddle with grace after it slipped and fell. What a great way to handle a dip on the road!
Wonderful video! Swans are always so beautiful and graceful. It was nice to hear the redwing blackbirds as well! Spring is coming! 🌱
99% of these are Tundra swans, still a beautiful sight and sound. Most Tundra have a small yellow spot at the base of the bill. Also the eye is not encompassed by the black facial skin like it is on a Trumpeter such that the eye on a Tundra is more distinguishable. The white forehead where it meets the bill is more "V" shaped on a Trumpeter as well. I am from the area and while there are surely some Trumpeters in the mix (and some even nest at the nearby Montezuma NWR and NYSDEC lands) this congregation is made up mostly of Tundra. Also Sandhill cranes @ 10 sec
What are the black, duck like fowl near the end of the video?
@@Bluesbabesrv Canada geese around the 2:40 mark
@@Bluesbabesrv Believe he's correct on the Canada geese -- which gives you an idea of how large the swans are! 👍🏼😎✌🏼
Good catch with the cranes. I thought they were funny-looking swans.
Government agencies and private conservation groups have contributed to the saving of this species, the growing numbers of trumpeter swans. Thank us taxpayers and those who donate money to save the environment for the ability to see videos like this, as well as in-person views, of course.
Thank you for sharing. I am from NY, many available moments like this were enjoyable. Nice change from the flocks of geese everywhere here in Colorado.
You can hear the red winged black birds, too, even though you cannot see them ☺️
Swans are my favorite 🦢
Thank you for sharing!
Lots of amazing footage of swans. Great to see them flying too. In my video they are relaxing, but one of the stretches their wings wide. They are truly magnificent creatures. Thanks for sharing.
As a New Yorker watching this in a very cold and snowy morning it is lovely to watch these swans navigating the frigid waters without much fuss but lots of trumpeting to each other.....joyful ✨❤️✨
Beautiful. My place in the Sandhills is near a bestest haven on the great plains. Saw 49 on one day very recently. There talk is a true wonder.
Most of the swans seen in this videos were tundra swans; you can tell because tundra swans have a little bit of yellow under their eye on the beak. And most of the swan calls in this video were tundra swan calls
💜💛🌻🌺🌼
This video must have been taken late winter last year? I hear red wing blackbirds in the background.
Majority of these are tundra swans not trumpeters
So beautiful. Nothing beats the sound of nature ❤️
Except for the sound of someone saying, "Yes....!" 👍🏼😎✌🏼
Thank you for the uplifting images. Wonderful way to remember the beauty in the world.
Nice they post the longer video on YT. The actual segment on TV was only 27 seconds long.
Yes!
Lucky for Nature, they don't
Know the Turmoil of this Plant.
I'd be sounding a trumpet too if I was swimming in those icy waters.
I love ❤ watching the nature shows. It makes my day. I am glad they put them on.
Beautifully, well done!🦢🦢🦢
I love the CBS Sunday Mornings Moment of Nature! But these are Tundra Swans, not Trumpeters. Tundra's have a small yellow spot on their black bill beneath the eye and the bill is a tad shorter than the Trumpeter which is a bigger swan by about 10-20% in size.
Wait so based on your description, these are not tundra swans. Where's the yellow spot? I looked and I don't see it. These are trumpeters.
Beautiful! Thank you.
Would of been nice to have an actual story about these beautiful birds
Shame they only show about 20 seconds of this on the program.
Can someone combine Moment of Nature with a VR headset ???
Gorgeous. We don't get Trumpeters or Tundra swans in our area. We get occasional here and there along with the Canadas. Oakland CA's Lake Merritt is the oldest bird refuge in the U.S.
The Lake Mille Lacs National Wildlife Refuge in Minnesota is the smallest! Essentially, two small rock islands in a big (207 sq. mi.) lake..... 👍🏼😎✌🏼
One day I will see these beauties
I like how they have small groups of friends to complain about other swans.
The economic hardship, recession, unemployment and the loss of job caused by covid pandemic is enough to push people into financial ventures. Summer is almost here again with lots of activities to be enjoyed. Well, I'm taking a trip into investing because I lost so much during this pandemic. Multi creation of wealth is the best strategy to ensure financial sustainability...
Trumpeter swans live in minesota
Gotta be in Reno
no need to ask about their name. enjoyable as always.
