My ancestors were the Clifton family. My maiden surname is Clifton. I live in America and have directly traced my Clifton family as far back as the Clifton family can be traced. I had a friend, a bookseller, who lived in Nottingham and who has since died, and in past years he helped me to be able to purchase photographs of Clifton Hall and books about my ancestors. One thing I have always wanted to do is to go on a walk through Clifton Grove and Clifton Woods and see all of the botanicals there, along with the river Trent. You two took me there with this video. Thank you for making this happen for me!

Bloody RUclips notifications are useless. They don't always notify us either and we only end up seeing the video when we go on the RUclips app. Yes this area is lovely area, lots of green spaces, we're lucky to be so close. Keep your eyes peeled for more doorstep delights, thanks as always for watching 😊❤️😊👍

Springtime Bluebells, simply lovely. I really need to explore Notts a bit more considering I’m here most weeks. It’s good to see you’ve got lots of beautiful green spaces near by. ☺️

Nice to see more of your local stomping ground. Not an area I know at all, but you've definitely got a lot of doorstep delights to see! 😀 That Weir looks massive! Really impressive too. The Ice House was interesting too. Great video as always! 😀👍

The ice house is definitely interesting, just a shame about the graffiti, grrrr. We're lucky to have this around us and there's so many other places we can get to nearby which are beautiful too 😊

That is a nice walk and close for you too. I know the trent well. It's a tidal river and very wide. I go to eat at a place in Gainsborough and the trent runs alongside it. There's also a country path. Be nice to see your walk at Beeston. Cheers ladies 😁

Thanks Kelly. There's lots of nice local walks around this neck of the woods. The Beeston side should be interesting as not explored that before.
