I hadn't found these trails when I was there yesterday. I wish I had. They seem rad. I think I underestimate how much I enjoy XC trails when done well. Watching this video, I realized there's a lot to XC I really like and miss out on when riding other styles of trail. Especially log skinnies. Whoa boy do I love those.
They are kind of in the back of the trail system. You climb to the top and then drop down the back. Yeah, I'm enjoying getting into a groove and just pedalling on XC trails as well.
Feeling inspired to build my hardtail project after watching this video.
You should! I've been waiting for it.
We were out there a few weeks ago we loved all the trails can't wait to make it back again
Yeah, it's a great spot isn't it? So much fun!
Killer video! These are some really cool xc trails. I’m working on a mid travel hardtail project and it would rip here. Gets me excited!
Thanks man! That sounds like the perfect bike for MN singletrack.
Definitely need to get up there. Trails look like a lot of fun.
Yes you do! It's a great trail system. Good variety of trails.
I love the tone shift in comparison to the other Tioga videos. Nice work.
Thanks Max! There's something for all riders at Tioga.
Great video. You get these great shots on great trails and there’s no one around.
Thanks! I try to get out at times when I don't think there will be much traffic. I feel a little self conscious standing on the side of the trail fiddling with a camera when people are riding by.
That place looks awesome.
It is! You gotta check it out.
Looking forward to riding there. Just needed to find a way to get there.
Make the time! It's worth it. It's a little further than Cuyuna but the drive seems a little easier, especially from the east side.
@@KrisYahner I'm still trying to find time to hit Duluth too. I need to squeeze in a couple riding days.
Let the great Autumn scramble for singletrack begin!
Great videos, thanks for giving me a preview of the trails here. I'm happy to say that I finally got a chance to get out there and it exceeded expectations. I haven't hit any bike parks yet but between Duluth, Cuyuna and Tioga the best flow trail in MN is Minneflowta in Tioga. These XC trails are awesome too and laced with a bunch of little drops and features. Bloodstone was a unique, rocky experience as well. Everything there, including the layout and trail design is on point. I can't wait to get back there and hit the rest of it (Thrillseeker, El Jefe, etc.). Also, have you heard of new trails popping up in Chisholm soon and have you had a chance to check any of that out yet?
Awesome! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the videos and found them useful. Those trails are so much fun. I did hear about the trails being built near Chisholm but I haven't been able to check them out yet. I don't think they have anything open yet, do they?
@@KrisYahner Nah man, just read an article saying that despite half of the trail system already being built the whole 30+ mile system won't be open until next year. I was hoping that you had an early access golden ticket in your possession given that you seem to be in the know with the local bike shop owners and trail builders. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to make it through another winter before the Iron range becomes even more awesome.
No golden ticket yet but I'm still holding out hope. hahaha.
Great music to video sound lvl. Nothing worse then up down volume with music and talking.
Thanks! It takes a little work to get the levels right and I'm happy to hear that it's appreciated. Thanks for the feedback!
