I bought the Louvre last year as a gift for my mom and I’ll likely buy this one as a gift for her again. I really appreciate how much attention to detail goes into these holiday palettes from the embossing to the quality to the packaging. They are really fun to gift!
I got the Louvre palette at Macy’s this spring for such a great deal at not even $40. Today I bought the Lancome beauty box because I you just cannot beat the value and even better, I love and use all of the items already. It’s a steal!
Hi Rebecca, wow !!! this palette is so beautiful and the shades are stunning, i think this will make amazing Christmas present for someone who applies their eyeshadow one & done look. Love Katherine xoxo
Wow! This palette is so pretty! I also like all satin or shimmer palette sometimes! The navy blue caught my eye and I do not usually go for blues! You looked so pretty and agreed that the foundation was gorgeous!
My palette arrived yesterday & I can’t wait to play with it! The presentation alone is stunning. I use that Chantecaille brush to apply their sheer glow face tint. So happy they sent that to you!
That is a gorgeous skin tint. I’ve been eyeing the Chantecaille skin tints for a while. Perhaps next sale. The Lancôme palette is so beautiful. It makes perfect sense that you feel LE’s intelligence. She’s so kind and curious and deeply informed. Thank you, you look gorgeous ❤
Holy Smokes! That's just gorgeous!! So Lisa Eldridge 😍I don't pay much attention to Lancome anymore, but the magic word "Lisa" caught my attention immediately 😉
Fantastic review! Last year’s palette is still available at Macy’s and I plan on getting one of them. Which would you say is the most neutral for someone (me…LOL) who prefers a soft neutral look? Thank you! 😊
I saw it, I think, two weeks ago and I thought wow how beautiful look these palette and the packaging🤩 but at the time she is not available to purchase at the german lancome webside. But its okay, I‘m waiting right now at my gourmande girls and LH cosmetic palettes 📦😊😅
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I find it odd that no one is reviewing them. There is one video but I do not trust what little was said about them. It is like everyone is blacklisting these products.
I got last year’s Louvre palette and it’s lovely. The packaging was great for gift giving (although I gave it to myself 😂) This one is as well. I love that level of attention to detail in a holiday release. I love the set up of this one more with each pan the same size. I also love the blue and the taupe shade. I feel like the 2 pinkier shades are similar Louvre shades, but I know not everyone buys every palette each year. I like that this year’s palette is more cool leaning (while last year’s skewed more warm) I want this! I already have a swatch comparison for Instagram!! Can you compare this palette to the Givenchy holiday palette and to the Louvre palette? I am 99% sure I can justify having all three. That Chantecaille red lip looks like it was MADE for YOU!! It’s perfection!!
The chantecaille looks great. Never use this particular product but do love their other foundation. I’m scared of red lipstick too. Gorgeous on you. I’ve been curious about Lancôme palette for holidays. Hoe do you think compares to Givenchy I think had similar shades?
This is absolutely gorgeous! Looks great, Rebecca! I haven't tried anything by Lisa Eldridge. Is this a good one to start with or should I start with her palettes? How do they compare formula wise?
These formulas are a bit different than her eponymous line which is more straight powder. I’d start with her line actually. This is more of a treat and not as every day for wear ❤️
Hello Rebecca! Just wanted to ask if you have that link to a Lancome Louvre palette still available? You mentioned it in the video but I didn't see it in the description box. Thanks for a fun and informative video!
I don't have the louvre palette but I think that the colours are too similar each others, the hilighter is quite similar to the other eyeshadows... She could have used different colours to have more variety
Yes, you hold the right one in your hand, i mean the Chantecaille reformulated skintint is much better than the previous one, it has more moisture, it's less thick. I can see it because the purple stripes are a sort of waves, the purple stripes don't look straight (hope good English). But i love this skintint, i'm always between Vanilla (summer) and Alabaster (winter) and Bliss, newer shade, bit in between the other 2 shades. Or i mix them. And a red lip looks so beautiful on you, dear Rebecca!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Well, everything looks so nice! Love all the products, also the Lancome palette! Don't know if or when this palette will show up here, sometimes i think we Dutch do not appreciate makeup enough 😂so Lancome or actually L'Oréal maybe gave up on us 😂i see now that Louvre palette on the Lancome website for us Dutch after a year! I cannot blaim them, Americans puchase so much more makeup! Yes it was a circus but of course i got that Louvre palette and it's gorgeous! But this palette is also gorgeous, Rebecca!!! And the eyelooks!!! So lovely!!! I skip a lot but when i can get my hands on this one, i purchase it, for a present, for myself, do not know yet, but it's gorgeous and also gorgeous on you!!! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty no they don’t! Gorgeous! When I can get it I purchase, maybe for myself but still have so much, but this packaging, gorgeous also for a gift!😍
It’s pretty but I’m more of an all matte eyeshadow girl. The Chantecaille lip looks amazing on you, but did you swap it out for something different? Towards the beginning and end of the video you are wearing more of a glossy pink that I don’t care for as much, or do I need stronger contacts🧐
I’m only watching you for the second time. I don’t think this is a dark look on you at all. If you are wearing black and white? You can pull this off during the day. Is this a Lancome formula or is it more like a Lisa Eldridge palette. I haven’t tried her eyeshadow yet. Thank you.
The palette is stunning and you made it accessible and gorgeous as is your wont. I adore Lisa E anyway and this IS a thing of beauty. But… but I’m glittered out. How many glitter palettes can one person use? Even if it’s now called ‘shimmer’. Honestly, how many parties are we supposed to be going to? how unpopular am I really? 😮I’m quite new to beauty obsession and I get that holiday palettes are meant to be special and extra glamorous, but it feels as if the industry is moving as a herd as usual and just about everyone seems to be producing collections that have reached new levels of overpriced, limited use. Is glitter a TikTok thing? Or…? Basically, when holiday palettes major on say metallic shades that can be used through the year in actual daylight without looking like you didn’t make it home after the night before, I can convince myself they may be worth the inflated prices. But relentless collections of glitter? At these prices? The thing is, just about every holiday palette is objectively beautiful to look at and normally I’d be spending like a drunken sailor because I’m not sensible about buying beauty at all but but …Glitter is finally saving even me from myself. Very reluctantly. I’m very disappointed not to be spending stupid amounts on beautiful things.
I feel like such a curmudgeon. But I fell out of love with glitter when I was 11 and the obsession never returned. I’m bitter. About glitter. May I ask though, since you know so much about how the industry works, how DO they all as rivals seem to move as a herd like this? I’m imagining Davos type global summits where they dress up as Bond villains and stroke white cats to decide The Next Thing? “This year we will bombard them until they eat sleep and dream lip balms and glitter.’ It seems that monolithic. So few brands break ranks or take risks, even when it’s reached a point where it must feel pointless to bother releasing yet another boring lip balm to compete with hundreds of other boring lip balms? And as chief scout of the Cool Tones Revolutionary Army, that’s also who i have to blame for the way the industry increasingly treating people with cool toned skin as a quick trend to momentarily indulge. As opposed to an actual section of the population who’d also, like to be catered to fairly. Why are warm tones the unquestioned universal default? So… I feel like I’m asking you why there are stars the sky. 😅❤
First of all, I love your comment and I had to read it twice. Why did I have to read it twice? Because I couldn’t stop laughing about you saying you’re bitter. About glitter. It was just so well done and subtle that I just giggled for like three minutes. You know this question you ask here almost deserves its own video really. And as a fashion editor it was a question I got even more. How is it that the runways end up having the same trends? Well, the answer is a little bit boring. The answer is a combination of - things just kind of going around again but also editors. I remember, for instance, as a magazine editor, I would have to do fall trends and sometimes they were so darn forced. I would go “did I see a plaid print somewhere else? Was it like a runway in Spain?” And then the headline would be plaid for fall and three of the photos were designers no one had ever heard of or something that kind of looked like plaid but wasn’t. Does that make sense? So some of it is editors making us think that it’s everywhere. And with Makeup we can even say that here. We are all buying the fancy glittery stuff because it’s an attention grabbing. And some of it is just that glitter for the holidays and floral colors for spring are just common. And some of it is that it’s just cyclical. It’s like all the matte palettes came out so now it’s time for glitter again. I wish it were a more interesting answer than that and I hope that kind of briefly explains it but almost deserves its own video.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty ha! that makes sense yeah! Though I’m sulking the Bond villain/cat/super yacht scenario is off the table. And off they trot, the lip balm and glitter hive mind. The persistent ignoring of what must be a significant part of their customer base though - the CRA- that I don’t get. It seems counterproductive given cool toned palettes and lipsticks always seem to sell out first for example? perhaps because they’re so rare I guess. Personally I’d love a video on it!
