As a Bucks fan, I can say that the team under Bud has been making stupid mistake after stupid mistake. They seem very underprepared when things break down, and can't seem to make simple reads to save their season. I think a huge reason for that is how dogmatic Bud has been with "play random". Meaning, if you don't have predefined sets the opponent will have a harder time adjusting on the fly. Which is a problematic view, to say the least. Sets are there to bail you out when things break down... Also, it's typical Bucks to have a play that works wonders (big play between Giannis and Brook) only to stop doing it for no reason and piss away the point difference. I was expecting a very similar season as we had in the last one, but this trade has really shaken things around, making me excited about whats to come.
After watching the Miami playoff clips the first thing that came to my mind wasn't Dame. Just fully healthy and tuned in Giannis and Middleton would easily carry them over these 4rth quarters, just like the championship run. Dame takes them to whole other level offensively.
Don’t disrespect the Heat like that. Giannis has had the incredible luxury that no other superstar in history have had. He had someone who can make all the crucial and clutch defensive plays on the perimeter in Jrue. He also had the guy who’s going to take and make the big shots in playing games in Middleton. Fully healthy and tuned in my ass. Jimmy exploded for his highest point totals of the Milwaukee series in every game Giannis played. Giannis has a problem in the clutch. The year they won the title and had little to no issues in the clutch, Middleton and Jrue were the two key factors. The offense will get easier, especially for Middleton, and Dame is great under pressure. But Jrue caused so many problems for teams defensively, and combined with Lopez with Giannis helping, it was such a tough unit to beat.
The shots by Middleton aren't in and of itself bad shots for him. He can make those. He has also shown to take just as tough if not tougher shots in previous playoffs on a number of occasions and make them.
Giannis was coming last year out of injury, the man shot really badly his free throws but still had 35+ if I remember correctly..Kris and Jrue were the only players who could open up space on a VERY static Bud-made team anyway...What did they do? Brick after brick, TO after TO.....Grayson was nowhere to be found as a shooter. When your best perimeter shooter ends up being Brook Lopez you are in TROUBLE. I don't care if Giannis looses the +1s this year. What I care about is: 1. He doesn't kill himself constantly 1vs 5 leading to injuries and fatigue 2. He doesn't kill himself 1 vs 5 leading to poor defending due to fatigue 3. He HAS a player to trust from the perimeter so he WILL pick him up instead of going bully ball. If Kris is 80-90% himself as well we are in for a treat.
Gainnis best half court skill is as the roll man in the pnr. However they used him more as a post up player where he has no momentum going to the basket being guarded by one of the better post defenders in the league. Overall really poor coaching on offense.

I'm so hyped for the first Nuggets vs Bucks game this season
Gonna be an exciting season to watch the bucks
Nice edit at the end! 🎉
This Bucks team is gonna be exciting, just imagine the clearer paint that Giannis will see.
Hopefully they'll stay healthy
_if this trade was a crime or are we prepared for dame time?_ damn i didnt expect that intro
Blessings from Taiwan
This year's NBA is FUN!!!!!!!!!!!
YOur editing is second to none. Amazing as usual
Thx so much!!! 🙏🏀🙏
great vid as always
Saying it again:
Your seamless transitions into your sponsor and back to your main content remain unequaled.
It makes me actually want to watch instead of skipping forward.
I can' t say I am going to watch all games of the Bucks coming season but there is something to this Bucks team now...
Fyi, Holiday was 4th in the league in points per possession on pick and roll as the ball handler (min 750 possessions).
I think this will be some of the funniest basketball to watch in my life and i'm sixty years old
Man, the Bucks calling Dame time is gonna be chilling.
There is absolutely nothing a defense can do with giannis, dame, and middleton on the court... not to mention Brook. All you can do is hope they miss.
That dame wave against Paul George and oklahoma still is one of the coldest events ever.
Transitions on another level
Calling giannis posting up max strus "ill advised" is WILD from coach nick. Yeah the bam one was a bad idea but posting strus literally forced butler to hard double and that's on the entry passer for not kicking it to the open man or passing it quicker
He just shows the misses. Not the success. Giannis had plenty of success against Bam. I don't take his stuff seriously
@@kritav1111 I mean nick has been so outcomes based in his analysis for the past few years that it drives me a little nuts. I can't watch him seriously anymore. He got me into basketball RUclips and now I've moved beyond his seemingly random opinions on things.
I thought he’d stop but I guess didn’t he comments he’s still a hater.
@@othellorucker8107 who nick or me lol
The guy hates Giannis, he always makes these little passive aggressive comments like a little bitch. Extremely annoying and unprofessional.
Hey coach what app do you use for your breakdowns ?
Awesome video bud 😮
Well they won't be able to stop any star guards from scoring now, since lillard is a pylon. But their paint defense remains top notch, and lillard can go crazy on offense. So overall it's a plus for sure
“If the stars aligns, they have a chance” I feel like that’s a bit of an undersell, but I guess we will see
U raw wit commentating.
Have been looking for this video since the trade
🔥 🏀
Great video, but could you change up the background music?
I love how much Coach hates the Bucks. It's so obvious hahah.
Even if they don’t win a ring they’ll still be scary
The offense will get easier, especially for Middleton, and Dame is great under pressure. But Jrue caused so many problems for teams defensively, and combined with Lopez with Giannis helping, it was such a tough unit to beat.
Dame isn't great under pressure ..
8:07 i cant believe he can hardly push off butler
They going to make some noise the only thing I think they need now he's a good center with great defense
When did Marcus Smart become an elite pick and roll ball handler?
I saw that and could not believe it
Giannis getting a postgame a la DR34M will get the most accurate kind of 3 point attempts for the Bucks
Expect Dame's % to increase 🔥
love ur videos coach !
Thx!!
When Giannis said “there is no failure in sport”, I didn’t thought he meant that last year was a step forward to bring Dame. Clever loss.
Great fit. MIA would have no chance to come back if Dame was on the floor.
The shots by Middleton aren't in and of itself bad shots for him. He can make those. He has also shown to take just as tough if not tougher shots in previous playoffs on a number of occasions and make them.
Lol the Bucks desperately needed Dame. I know Jrue was popular but Dame is a huge upgrade
When he showed clutch Dame montage, i thought it was from his entire career. But it was only for last season wtfffff. DAME TIME is too much to handle
I know right!!
And Gabe Vincent going to LAL goes under the radar, but I think it will be crucial for them :)
3-point shooting Center Brook Lopez is going to feast. 👍
Another great trade by Adam Silverman
where is the part in the video where he answer or explain the "Does Damian Lillard Get Giannis And The Bucks Another Title?"
Gainnis best half court skill is as the roll man in the pnr. However they used him more as a post up player where he has no momentum going to the basket being guarded by one of the better post defenders in the league. Overall really poor coaching on offense.
Totally forgot that Milw fired their coach. Out of all the recent high profile coach firings, how many have worked out well? Not sure why they think the next guy will do any better.
Bro. You're bringing back nightmares from that horrendous heat bucks series. What a coaching and choking nightmare and this was the reason Bud got fired.
I’d argue it was the same issues they had the year they won the title. They were a bit lucky to beat the nets, had that not happened, they would’ve done all these changes then
@@bballbreakdownhater 🤡
@@bballbreakdown 100%. Bud was on the chopping block THEN. His decisions at the end of the game for YEARS has been horrible. It was exposed during the Miami series. Yes, Giannis was injured, but those end of regulation AND over time mishaps were the WORST. Get paid millions to digest all those scenarios that should have been studied
The way I see the current rosters, Lakers and Bucks seem as top favorites for the title. And Kawhi and Jokic are my favorite players
This dude can give flowers to every player in the league but Giannis
Dame dolla bill
Great in-depth analysis as usual. BUT it is very tiresome to have the same intro-esque music looped for 11 minutes 😬
Remember just how many times history of the League thought us that such trades cant get you instant championship! And,what if,this doesnt succeed with Bucks in just first season?
I could see it being like Shaq and Kobe: Giannis will carry them through the first 3 quarters, and Lillard will close things out.
Freaky Hours in Milwaukee ⏳👹
All this pisses me off because everything worked for me in the Finals vs my suns. Khris was getting Kobe shots, Giannis was great from the free-throw line and Jrue found his offense. So annoying the one time they really put it together was that year
