Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who loves Ian's Krancor. In fact, I love it when all of them talk "in character" in Hero Quest. It's just my favorite part of these every time.
Holy fucking shit man. I've been a fan since LRR since ENN and daves discount deities. Went back and watched all their stuff from before, still in love with morgan, what a sexy man. But does it ever just hit you, that these guys are really fucking good at what they do? The sweet intro and the opening shot with them in their costumes, you can just see the effort lovingly poured into this. It's so great to see professionals at work.
Descent:Journeys in the dark(second edition) is a great dungeon crawler that includes 20 scenarios in the quest guide and a campaign mode that plays 9 of them in a story. There are 8 different, unique heros to choose from that fall into 4 character archetypes (warrior, Mage, healer, scout) that each have 2 classes you can choose from. You quest, buy items from the shop deck, and earn xp that is used to purchase skills from the class deck. It's one vs all like this game, and the overlord controls monsters and has a deck of cards that helps them out. It is amazing amount of fun, it comes with double sided, modular tiles pieces to build different maps, and the scenarios are more than just hack and slash. Me and my play group have gotten a few quests in and we are dying to play more. Best part is, all that I mentioned is just the base game! You can get it on fantasy flights website for like 80 USD, but my LGS sold it for about 65 USD, they have two additional big box expansions that have
I DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT THIS TILL I JUST SAW IT ON RUclips IM SO HAPPY YOU BROUGHT THIS BACK I LOVED SO MUCH THANK YOU 1000X IT FILLS THE SADDNESS OF RIP LRRCAST BUT THANK YOU yes caps were needed
Beej gon' give it to ya, EFF waiting for you to get in your own, Beej gon' deliver it to ya. Knock knock, open up the door, it's Beej, with the nonstop pop-pop of stainless 'stige.
When I use to play a halfling rouge, the other party members use to tie a rope around my waist and give me a 10 foot pole to tap around the hallway while searching for traps, all the while they hid behind a tower shield 30 ft away. They would always say "We're gonna need another Timmy!"
Back when I wore analogue-type hearing-aids, the Cell-phone interference was constant and extremely annoying! However, I got used to it and was soon able to read the type of signal being sent to the phones xD I could tell someone they were about to get a text or a call, mystifying everyone :P Thank you for playing Hero Quest, I loved it as a child and decided to buy a fully painted set that had all of the parts that I was missing
When you talked about the whole "donate to help X!" I envisioned George R R Martin setting up a crowdfunding where the amount donated decides who of the characters survive to the end. There would be so many people throwing money at him... As for the flippable play mats, you could just have a mat that's basically a giant pocket. Top of the mat is clear plastic and inside you can have a flippable sheet of paper/card stock with whatever print you want. That might enable fuckery through hiding cards inside it though...
Their own campaign, and many small box expansions that add content and stand alone scenarios, and the game is still in print. It would be so cool if you guys consider Descent for future AFK plays.
just my two bits, the first mission they played, was meant as the last mission, but was changed to the first one (removing traps) as it used at least one of each enemy type
Ian is so fucking annoying in these, he needs to quit it with that voice, it's not funny. However Beej is freaking hilarious and reminds me so much of one of my friends, he cracks me up.
So yeah, old vid, I get it, but watching these dudes play is FKing PAINFUL. I played more strategically when I was 12, Jeeze! Opening doors when you're the taking the last turn among heroes, not backing into halls & getting into "surround & kill me" position. Worst is hearing the FKing Fimeer pronounciation. It's simple english man, read, Firmir... As in more firm. Someone kill me. And you still trigger traps after casting Pass through Rock. Nowhere on the card does it say you become incorporeal. Don't flavor it. You can just pass through rock, everything else plays the same.

I know what you mean, you can tell there's a lot of effort and skill that goes into these.

Curious is the trap-maker's art: his efficacy unwitnessed by his own eyes.

My turn is over, your turn is now; you can't see me, I'm in a pit.
surprisingly fast on getting this up here, thanks means i can actually watch it away from my main home machine
love the intro, and the hats, all the glorious hats, this is going to be amazing!
I literally could't breath after Cameron talked about the "brick shaped rogues" :D
the inverted zenith camera angle for the board is confusing.
I know I'm YEARS late but I love Zapsworth the over-this-shit wizard
The discussion(s) that spring from Stab's fall into the pit-trap is(are) the greatest.
The adventures of Stab Manthrust! Sensible Barbarian!
Everyone else is a few rooms behind as they hear Stab yell "Oh fuck!" They then they hear a load thud followed by a soft, yet pain-filled moan.

FYI there are 5 magical treasures and the wizard can wear these. This includes armor and swords.
55:28 Ah, someone said it 6 years before I could.
Are there specific rules for line of sight or are you supposed ti figure it out on your own?
They're very explicit and reasonably sophisticated in the European rulebook.
They are clear in the UK version
Beej is out of control in this! I love it.
57:10 there is a show that does that
9:30 Slightly skewed in the heroes favour? You mean double the chance.
LOVE me some Hero Quest!
Cool intro guys! :)
Sounds like they spent all their gold on the longsword from last time rather than getting shields and such
23:43 Cam how dare you. You're a *scientist*.
If you want maximum entropy you need to turn it into a black hole.
Fuck god damn it I lost it at the clue part fuck damn my ribs
