I watched so many of these games on air… Seeing him do this live on a weekly basis was one of the most surreal basketball experiences I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t even the fancy dribbling or creativity with plays, it was the fact that he delivered when he first arrived. The man was a consistent, clutch bucket. If it was a tight game, somehow, someway, he put the team in the lead. Even when games seemed impossible, he would hit a dagger, with seconds left on the shot clock. Obviously it didn’t last, but my God was it mesmerizing.

We all know Kyrie is the best ballhandler ever, but I just tried to remember the last time I saw him get ripped or dribble off his leg and I couldn't. And he is constantly driving into traffic. Meaning he dribbles more than everyone, but he almost never turns the ball over unless it's from passing. Sometimes you'll see him about to lose the angle on the next bounce and just instinctively dribble low one time to center it and resume his attack. He hasn't averaged more than 2.6 turnovers since his 3rd season; he averaged 27 pts and 2.1 turnovers last year, and is at 23 and 1.4 this year. I know that moving full time to SG as Luka handles things would make him more efficient, but 1.4 turnovers for a guy who dribbles this much? That's not just fun to watch, it's becoming more lethally effective as he gets older.

We had him at his absolute peak IMO. He was unreal to watch. the fact that it only cost us IT, Jae Crowder and the pick that they used on Collin Sexton makes it one of the best moves a team has ever made, no matter how many games he played. We got out of giving IT a bad contract and having a player of Kyrie's caliber around those two seasons helped Brown and Tatum become great, you can see a lot of Kyrie's touch in JB especially when he gets hot.
