One of my favorite mechs now. Though i think it is too fragile for the default loadout.
I've switched to 4Lac/5 and 2 LPPC, as well as switching over to a light engine. Been working out wonderfully
This is exactly what i did, and it PUNCHES
I've only run this mech on patch night but it was an absolute blast. It's crazy to cover that kind of ground so quickly in a 65t mech, as well as chase down lights.

Got my first Ferroblast kill last night. Maybe they can run like a Locust, but we can still shoot them like a Catapult.
This thing is awesome. I traded out the magshots for LMGs and added a LAMS. Also downgraded to a light engine. Still have a great max speed of 140kph. Shit is wild lol.

Per the discussion at beginning: I have accidentally team killed with lrms while shooting at a light. The light following it kept losing lock and the missles would fall on him instead 🤦🏻♂️ I’ve kinda hated lrms ever since 😂

up next an Annihilator that has 240KPH. The only downside is it can only use tags.
I mean, I've done something similar in MW5 with the YAML mods, although it was mgs and small lasers. This was back before melee was added, too. As I've said in reference to the charger before: An 80tonner doing a running lariat @81kph means whatever it hit is on it's butt for long enough to matter. If it's under 50 tons, it almost certainly isn't getting up anyway.
How does magshot works here ? arent they are supposed to be a quick reload gun that relies on your moving speed for fast reload and damage ?
No. You might be thinking of the weapon from Hare Brained Scheme's 2017 Battletech that did that, which aren't a real battletech weapon (though to be fair the beam laser in MWO isn't a "real" battletech weapon either...) Mag Shot gauss are just a tiny version of the gauss rifle that pretty much work like the old gauss rifles do. That is to say no charge up mechanic like gauss have now. simply point and click to shoot!
@@Evinthal84 ok so its a compact autocanon , but does the magshot explode when crit inside the mecha ? like gauss and heavy gauss do ?
@@GrayFolxy yes, they are a gauss weapon so I believe they explode like every other gauss when they take a critical hit. The ammunition is inert just like other gauss too

Strategy seems to be to release overpowered mechs for sale...people buy them up....then they get nerfed later on.
People say this about the Ferroblast, but I haven't had issues fighting them yet. They said it about the Blackhawk too, and I went out of my way to hunt them with a KFX-C with good success, even before the AC quirk reduction.
You just need to consider how to play against them. So far I've seen Ferroblasts get caught out of position because of their speed. They may be able to chase and 1 v 1 a light, but Wolfpacks still eat them, focus arms.
Mech needs buffs tbh

@@seraphbasarab7383 Out of the norm? Sure? OP? Nah. Look at the Jenner that's quirked with so much laser duration buffs that it can turn an Inner Sphere large laser into functionally a Clan beam laser. It's out of the norm, kinda neat, but not OP at all.
