- On April 23rd, we will come together to celebrate St. George's Day and say we want our country back. We want an end to two-tier policing and anti-Semitic hate marches; we want our brave, kind, and heroic country's history and culture to be honoured by the elites in media, politics, and education. It is time to stand for England and St. George.

As a child in primary school in the late 60's each national saints day was marked with an assembly. On St George's Day it was taken by our head mistress from Kent, On St David's Day by Mr Davies from Llanelli. On St Andrew's day by Mrs Douglas from Inverness. On St Patrick's day it was taken by the head mistress because we didn't have an Irish teacher.
So, as an Englishman I have known since childhood that the Scots, along with the Welsh and Irish are my sisters and brothers.

@@trevorhoward2254 I remember being at infants school in late 1960's and a wonderful afternoon celebrating St George's Day with the story being re-enacted. The dismantling of our culture/customs and history was on its slow march through the institutions then and all such things stopped.

George was not the original Patron Saint of the English. That was Saint Edmund. Edward III replace Edmund a Saxon King-martyr with George in 1350, no issue with that but show some love for Edmund as well November 20th, the original Saint of England and the English

Edmund was killed by Danish invaders on the 20 November 869 after refusing to denounce his Christian. The saying goes England and ST George. ST Edmund for English men

Year after year I keep having the experience of realising St George's day has already passed silently. We're always aware of St Patrick's day for some reason. This is the first year ever in my 36 years that I can remember noticing St George's day being made something of.

George was born in what is now Turkey but that was centuries before the Turks arrived there. At the time, it was part of the Roman empire and mostly Greek. George was Greek or maybe Armenian.
