Glad to see Tentacruel and Crobat are on the list. The former tends to see use on my mono-Water teams. The latter being handy as a potent flier (since sometimes, I get sick of using the first route birds). EDIT: Also Roserade, it's tied with LIligant as my favorite grass types. Beautiful and deadly at the same time.
The Poison-type truly came to fruition as soon as Fairy hit the scene. And what's more, I've used most of the Pokémon here like the Nidos, Gengar, and Roserade. Though I feel an honorable mention would go to Salazzle for being able to poison anything with its Corrosion ability. That's not to be underestimated. Still, this type is quite interesting and underrated.
Poison still sucks as an offensive type. Poison is only super-effective against fairy and grass while being resisted by rock, ground, and ghost; also, steel is immune to poison.
I expected Crobat, Nidoking, Roserade, Gengar, Amoonguss, Venusaur and Toxapex to be the list. Honorable mentions I think are Scolipede, Amped Toxtricity, Drapion thanks to it's Poison and Dark type combination, Galarian Weezing and Dragalge with Adaptability
Venusaur…..my tried and true favorite Grass starter and I think it will continue to be. I just love the fact it got major buffs such as Earth Power and Weather Ball.
I'm really hoping to see Clodsire as an honourable mention. The unique typing w/ Water Absorb make it a great defensive mon, a true "fuck you" to rain teams and it has an AMAZING supportive movepool (hazards, status, etc)
man, i was really hoping toxtricity to be in as well :( you slap the bad boi with focus sash and make it have gigantamax, play it right by cripling your opponent's speed and bam, its punk rock + overdrive & boomburst can absolutely pack a punch (and it ignores substitute, a very useful benefit to have)
Crobat is probably my favorite out of all of these. To toxtricity is my #1, kind of hurts to not see it on this list 😂. BTW, I’m patiently waiting for your Scarlet Paldean region only Pokémon best team.
I kinda like Revavroom with Shift Gear and Magnet Rise. Its defenses are ok especially with Filter and if you manage to get shift gear and magnet rise off you become pretty difficult to deal with as long as you don't use its godawful signature move spin out. Too bad its outperformed by Glimmora who simultaneously functions as a toxic wall and a special sweeper.
Just goes to show Kanto was nothing but poison types or Pokemon that evolve from Kanto poison types. All of them except Roserade, Amoongus and Toxapex. And technically Galarian Slowking.
Salazzle should be an honorable mention it’s quickly become my go to for dealing with fairy types and it’s corrosion ability allowing it to poison steal and poison types is top tier in my opinion
I feel like Glimmora from scarlet and violet should’ve gotten a honorable mention tho, while its it has 4 type weaknesses one of them being 4x’s weak to ground its got decent coverage with 6 resistances and thanks to its ability Toxic Debris you can easily set it up as a venoshock sweeper, also because of this it benefits heavily from items like rocky Helmet turning it into a Pokémon that can take a good chunk of the opponents Health even without landing an attack. I cant tell you how many times I’ve beaten a team just by doing this method with Acid Armor increasing its already decent defense stats of 90 Edit: side note when he does fairy types Theres no way Tinkaton wont be on the list.

@@KFreire Coverage is the name of the game since they only hit Grass and fairy with super effective STAB. Also make sure you have coverage for ground and Psychic types. I prefer having 2 pokemon with coverage for each type (2 for ground, 2 for Psychic).
I tried using Toxapex in my Sun playthrough and hated it. Playthroughs is not its place. Then I trolled my sister in a battle with the highest defenses possible and this thing won me the battle. Only drawback, somewhat similar to Aegislash, it is a bit predictable. Still great though. I will say I am a bit surprised Alolan Muk did not make the list. It is a beast.

Was hoping to see sneasler, overquil or clodsire. So many good poison types in gen 9 OU (pre DLC, been playing ADV OU since teal mask dropped. Only poison is Gengar and DPP you got Gliscor and ???) We in the golden age of poison types ever since toxapex. The faithful trio (loyal trio idk, the Toxic Chain pokemon from the teal mask) will probably see more usage as time goes on but yea poison now finally getting the love it deserves. Most because of fairy but still.
I hope Obstagoon is in the top ten non legendary normal type Pokemon because it's my favorite Galarian form Pokemon. Also until I see all of the top ten non legendary Pokemon in each 18 types, I'll keep this channel subscribed.
I think tentacreul is better than roserade, because it has acces to great moves so it can use av, or boots as a spinner. Eather way its better than roserade

I am surprised that a poison/dark type did not make the list- one of the best poison typings.
Top 3 dual typing if you don't consider steel since most types are amazing with steel (fairy, ghost, flying, fire, dragon, bug, dark)
Best non steel dual types be 1. Water/ground 2. Dark/poison 3. Electric/flying

I used a Toxapex for my successful water type only Nuzlocke in Pokemon Sword, it was appropriately named Ba Sing Se.

Caught a shiny budew in BD before the first gym. Stats and nature were horrible, but it managed to destroy Cynthia's garchomp.
