yeah I agree with u......WuWa really has the potential to stand on top and overshadow everyone else.............just a bit of a gripe I have with it is that there is no gameplay loop so there's nothing to do....if they just make echo farming completely up to players and not tied to stamina/waveplates......that wud've been the cherry on top.....I mean we MMORPG players are no strangers to the grind.....and when you have such a banger of a game like WuWa....it just feels saddening that u can't spend more time per session ingame.

Pretty good so far, just need more stuff to do end-game loop I guess , Tuning echo edit item Maybe 1-2 per patch from one hard event and abyss store reset every 30days, and make Co-op a reason to play with friends there nothing to do in Co-op other than show off your characters they could add hard endgame co-op focused, if they fix that is the perfect game

Also it is crazy to think that the game is just 3 mos. old at this point, all the QoL, all the fixes all the improvements and new stuff they added are crazy to the point that it wouldn't be a stretch that WuWa's first 3 mos. alone did more than Genshin's 3 years.

I mean, you can't realistically compare a current gen game to a game from 5 years ago. Genshin half a decade ago was also a massive breakthrough in the industry.
It's like comparing FFXIV at release with WOW at release. Just not a fair comparison considering they're decades apart.
Making a game from scratch of a certain quality gets much easier to do as time goes on and new tools and more inspirations can be utilized.
Wuwa now has to set its bar above Genshin and against the newer gen games like NTE/Mugen, as they are built with a much more modern foundation.

@@hamedori That's not an excuse because Mihoyo in those 4 years they've been receiving a lot of feedbacks on what to improve and make the game better, only to implement it on their other games and VERY recently on Genshit itself in Natlan update.
Genshin had all the time they have to improve it, but they'd refused to do it. Just look at freaking HSR and ZZZ lmao, they are under the same engine yet they were able to apply much better QOL than GENSHIN.

Not even in terms of QoL but narrative progression as well. While I enjoy some of Genshin's Archon Quests, they meander so much that they forget the primary narrative that is finding Lumine. The only truly relevant moments are after the Archon Quests with Deinsleiff.
In WuWa, what took Genshin 3 years to reveal took WuWa literal seconds and few months. Like when they revealed that some TD's were once human in a cutscene. Genshin took a Deinsleiff quest just to say that in the Chasm. It's fine but when that's the only relevant revalation then it's not worth it.
It only took a single patch in WuWa to know that we're Arbiters and a prophesized returnee.
What irked me even more is after playing Genshin's most recent Dein quest. I love it but man it's literally shorter than most world and companion quests.
I honestly think that Genshin's narrative is 90% epic but filler archon quests and 10% relevant quests.

Social media presence is gonna always lock hoyoverse into those top spots, and them `throwing a bone` with the nathlan release is just gonna refresh that monopoly.
Ultimately, Wuthering waves needs to become a literal inferno of popularity to over-take or atleast claim the 2nd place spot. Which them pulling spicy maneuvers like `improving` how they handle the gacha banners in a far better way could be one spicy way to make people freak out if Wuwa were to suddenly make limited weapon banners permanet and free to choose between, just like punishing gray raven does for weapons/uns/CUBs/A-rank(4 stars) so far.
Either way, i`ll simply enjoy it because its fun, regardless of its taking a top place or not. Since its presence alone is already a good statement that Mihoyo`s stagnation monopoly is getting ruined with the arrival of other open world games and if they stop at simply throwing one bone, then its gonna start to drown in a pool of saturation, as more titles take more innovative approaches to an open world style then stick to the same song and dance, especially as its `opening statement` of how the game will look.

Wuwa is just incredible! Combat is fluid. World immersion is awesome. BUT THE EXPLORATION!!! Running on mountain sides to climb faster is just fantastic and the loot gadget where it displays locations of chests in a large radius is just incredible. I wish a certain other gacha game would implement this. They’ve added so much QOL into their game and it really shows just how much they care about their players. They are very generous and I don’t feel like I’m getting scammed playing it.

    • @legacymse7095
      @legacymse7095 18 дней назад +2

Idk man... You say the exploration is good because you can climb faster and you can see where the chests are? Is it even "exploration" anymore when everything is handed to you for free and without any effort? It's the exact opposite of what games like Zelda BotW did. I have countless of anecdotes and "wow" moments when I explored and found something. But in Wuwa? Nothing. Nothing memorable. It's not exploration, it's a collectathon
Just because we're getting easy currency and it's quick to explore, that doesn't mean it's good or memorable. You instantly forget about it.

    • @hijodelsoldeoriente
      @hijodelsoldeoriente 18 дней назад +5

@@legacymse7095that's the issue with gacha open worlds. It's honestly incomparable to the likes of non-gachas cause monetization is deeply tied to their game design. In Witcher, I don't necessarily need to clear all the map markers in Skellige cause the incentive isn't as big compared to gachas.
In Genshin, I even use the external interactive map when I get tired of exploration and I just want to get the currencies. In WuWa, while what you've said is true. I enjoyed it far more than Genshin's because I don't need an external interactive map just to get currency.
I also honestly still enjoy the exploration. I still pay attention to the details of the environment. And it's honestly very memorable for me. I still remember stumbling across the eternal concert while exploring. Or that pokemon arena and the exile camp in the middle of a lake. The feeling of reaching the flaming city for the first time. Reaching Whining Aix Mire and the Banyan tree. Even the lighthouses scattered and the ruins of court of savantae. Same with exploring Mt. Firmament.
What I'm saying is, it may detract from the raw exploration experience if treated as an open-world game per se. But considering it's a gacha open-world, I think it's fine to add loot mappers. I mean, what's the difference between a ubisoft open-world formula from implementing such at this point. At least you can opt to use the loot mapper or not.

Beside Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves I never played any other gatcha games.
I never enjoyed the combat in Genshin. In Genshin it always felt to me that the outcome of the fight is a lot more dependant on the character build and way less on your combat skills. The dodging and counter mechanic in Wuthering Waves alone makes me feel like I can win any fight at any character level, if I try hard enough and have enough patience. The combat is so good, that I actively seek out every fight I can pick and it makes me want to level up my characters further to see what they are capeable of at full power, even though it doesn't feel like it's necessary.
Beside that, I have to say that I like that the world in Genshin Impact a lot more. Not necessarily because it's more colorful, but because there is more variety and small local quests in each the areas, that tell small stories about the places and their history. In my opinion that is weaker in Wuthering Waves, even if it is present, though I have to admit the last event was really nice. I liked to see the town slowly come to life with each stall you unlock and to be fair the game is only starting out, so you can't do a 1:1 comparison.
In the end I guess it depends on what you value more, the action part or the story part and for me the action part is so much better in Wuthering Waves that it more than makes up for the, in my opinion, weaker story and world building compared to Genshin Impact. Additionally to that is also the fact that the gatcha system in Wuthering Waves feels 10 times fairer than in Genshin Impact.
They are both good games in their own regard though.

The "skills" are irrelevant on both games, when its about hard content, because its "time gated" meaning.. even if you have GODLY skill but don't do enough damage, you still can't clear the fight in time.

I was late playing genshin. After wuwa came out, i was able to play it for 6 months. I honestly had a lot of issue on GI. It’s hard to get 5* as a new player. It took me 3 account to get 1. And boy im telling you that 5* is not worth it. It’s hard to also compete since the game is released 3 years prior. GI doesnt really care about their players.
I was waiting for a good game. Then i saw wuwa’s trailer. I waited. The time i played wuwa… i never opened my account in GI. I love the game.

Wuthering Waves = BG3 of Gacha Games. Having played Genshin for 3 years and seeing hoyo just not give a fuck, makes me appreciate Kuro even more.
    - non scammy gacha system (guaranteed weapon and lower pity, standard banner is actually good)
    - devs that actually listen and fix shit
    - unique character models for playable and NPC
    - grahpical details and 120 FPS
    - very unique and good looking art style / world
    - amazing combat
    - good gearing system
    - dynamic story telling and cutscenes that could be straight from a movie
    - holy character trailers (genshin could never)
    - exploration
    - QoL everywhere / getting active improvement
    - a skip button.
Like, I play since day 1 minmaxing nearly everything and besides a few small things I wish where improved or there, everything is perfect or has already been fixed. I just love the game and hope Kuro keeps cooking, maybe some true post-apocalypse areas next, but with how much variety we already have I doubt its far away. Been getting monthly pass since day 4 where they did their statement to launch issues and gave out the free 5star, which already showed what type of developer Kuro is and I havent been proven otherwise since, maybe even top 3 devs of all time IMO. As long they exist imma pay that 70 bucks a year if not more, first gacha where I just wanna support the game and not primarily because I wanna get some extra pulls. Cant wait for skins, if they make the swimsuit changli from promo into a skin its bought day 1.

I played many gachas before but I never touched open world rpg gachas like genshin/tof when they came out because I don't like the way and the amount of grinding needed, until changli banner came out last month and I was like 'I need this wife'. Waifu made me start playing open world gacha but I'm glad it was wuthering waves, the amount of people/content creators that appreciate this game still gave a smile into my heart.

Wuthering wawes is exactly the kind of game I would like to see in Genshin Impact - with an open world and cool action, like in Honkai impact 3rd. I really hope that Kuro will have a very good story and a richer world, as well as other interesting events. I'm still waiting for them to add localization for my country, because of this, the game passes by my region and undeservedly receives negative reviews from my compatriots.

I was pretty skeptical and thought WuWa would be ToF 2.0, but I'm so glad I was wrong. The game has amazing combat, characters, movement. The only thing missing in the game, which is related to sounds and music, is cool soundtracks like in PGR, but with each patch it gets better in this aspect as well.

    For me-
(Note: Im not a hoyo shill or a kuro shill. And this will be my opinions and actual perspective. This will only be about the games and not the company)
Maybe because I'm more of a Character and story enjoyer
Genshin was very first gacha game i ever played
And it actually gave me one of the first open world roleplaying games. Exploration and the world is what i fell in love with one of the most
(Kinda lazy to list more of what i love of genshin so yea)
2nd one was Honkai star rail
Despite it being not as open or free roam as Genshin
I enjoyed its turn based and the grind the same as genshin. The story and characters again being my favorite.
(HI3 is the 3rd game i downloaded and played. 'Rarely come back'. But I'm not gonna talk about that)
And then Wuwa. Wuthering waves was one the games that ALMOST mamaged to reach and give me the feeling that i had when i first started Genshin and when i was experiencing it. Despite the constant crashing i played Wuwa. 1.0 hooked me on with its story. Sanhua became my favorite character, its trailer is great and makes me wanna play it. Its combat is peak and its way of exploration.
BUT despite it having great way of exploration. The place didn't make me wanna explore it as much. The only place that intrigued me was that Giant pink tree with that monke boss i forgot its name, and that Dragon statue stone in Mt. Firmament before it released.
Although 1.1 fell off for me. Somehow its story because uninteresting for me. Might just be me but i wasn't able to connect enough with the characters. The only characters i Enjoyed were Sanhua Camellya and Scar. The lesser ones being Jiyan and Aalto. Jiyan's story was great and was like a genshin story quests that i loved, and especially its ending. But current story 1.1 somehow doesn't intrigued me. And i couldn't really find a reason to care for Jinshi. And it was mostly filled with Changli and those long puzzles for its first one.
It fell of the moment i reached Mt. Firmament. So the game got boring for me. One time i just forced my self to play its current story since i still want to know what happens. But i last for an hour only.
    (Wuwa grind)
Its easy to grind but also not much depending one how you see it i guess. But Echo hunting is just isn't for me. Not only that the constant crashing might have really affected my experience. 2 months of grinding and I started to hate on Echo farming. And the story not being interesting enough for me, didn't give me a motivation to keep playing or even stay.
So in conclusion that what i think about it. But i am still willing to wait it out and see, until Wuwa becomes better and more interesting. I might even wait till 2.0. Until then I'll just wait

I have almost the same experience with some games, and wuwa is ineed a diamond in a pile of shit (which are other gachas). I remember genshin coming out, saw the gameplay and was hyped, invited my friends to install the game too and yeah, it looked astonishing but the gameplay, the quests and the multiplayer were MID. We still had fun, and there wasn't any other game like that around and i was addicted to genshin for a long time. But then more meta arrived, i wasnt able to play the game as much, and thank god i stayed f2p, ruined my account because i had no idea what i was doing and just quit the game because it became a chore at one point. I stayed away from gachas for some time, sometimes coming back to genshin cuz my friends wanted to play but i wasn't invested in the game in any way, i was playing it just to have fun with friends. And then wuwa was announced, same thing, saw the gameplay, was absolutely hyped but then i remembered genshin and i had my doubts at first but i got the game running and... oh boy. The rewards, the gameplay and every positive thing that genshin had... wuwa is something that genshin and greedhoyo will never achieve. I play the game like one hour a day, dailies, quests and stuff and i got Jiyan, Jinshi (and her signature) and Zhezhi which are all limited characters, AND im f2p. I did play some honkai star rail before and some other games that i dont remember and i never had this much fun in a gacha game. Too bad the game was and still is getting memed and hated on by genshin - tards, but those who actually have played wuwa can admit that the game is amazing.

Anyways, I wanted to try Wuthering because I was curious, after all, one of these friends even tried ToF and was having fun with it, in disregard of Genshin. I entered the game like a dog that has been mistreated and couldn't trust in people, just to... enjoy myself? trust again, at least some extend? It kinda feels... genuine, at least for now. And I hope the developers stays genuine, because I've been enjoying a lot the game. Was telling "me and my friends" context because I wish I could talk about everything GOOD that has Wuthering like I used to complain to my friends about everything BAD that has Genshin. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it, too. I am glad that there are a part of the fanbase of players for this game that appreciate this game.

In 3 months that wuwa came out… i really do enjoy the game. I created 2 accounts and pulled 2 limited banner (alternate) per account so that i wont be spending much.
1st account: im only missing tiger boy and jinshi. Have 9 5* weapons.
    2 account: i have 5* characters with 5* weapons.
I get to focus on characters better instead of having them on 1 account since its hard to farm materials.
The game did not give me a hard time. Materials is a-bit of a drag but its part of the game. I like it.
Vs GI: you really need to cash in and put an effort for the pulls. Sad thing is, youre not even guaranteed to get a 5* character. In terms of weapons? God help me. It is honestly too late with their update.
If a new player get to play wuwa 1st then play gi…. Who do you think they will choose? Even if you put it on reverse. For sure we all know the answer to that.

Me in 2020: Dang it, this Mihoyo's game is nothing like I've played ever before, aside from open world elements, I love it from the first sight, bare minimum is sufficient enough for me to keep playing it without ever uninstalling it or taking breaks.
Me in 2024: Dang it, this Kuro's game looked like Mihoyo's game clone on pre-release footage, but goes its own way, doing some stuff better, some worse, but thanks to it it fills the gap in the market and meets the demand from other kinds of players, I love it from the first sight.
Back to serious business, there's nothing I can add. Maybe the only complain is that end-game grind is too slow and credits burn out fast (speaking from experience, never had this problem in Genshin and in both games I carefully spend basic currency) so I can't really have fun with newly obtained characters.
Still hoping previous art style will make a glorious return in the future, same with Rover's line "Oh, you won't feel anything soon!" in response to the mockery of the enemy ahead and Vanguard Sound's "Flow" track. Also hope that too much money earned won't turn Kuro into yet another CCP's half-secret hooker.
(Note: Give my man Calcharo and not-so-my-girl Danjin a proper screen time, they're two victims of story rewrite and don't exist in the game's world yet, putting aside Yuanwu and Taoqi with their screentime; the same can be said about rest of 4* and 5* cast, it's unfair they don't have their own stories quests playable, LIKE MY BABYGIRL JIANXIN, UWAAAA.)

Ffs. Wuthering Waves made me feel like it's a gacha that has been updated for at least a year by now. But it only has been 3 month. That's exactly the time when I started to go to the gym again (to resounding success so far).
A lot can be done in 3 month and WuWa prooves that, where almost all others told you it's not possible. (Including lobotomized, delusional "fans").
    That being said.
    It's still a Gacha Game.
Gacha Games are inherently flawed games by nature.
The pricing structure alone is preposterous. (Although we mainly got League Of Legends and it's players to blame for pricing of digital goods within Games)
To put it into perspective, Wuthering Waves is almost bound to have generated a higher revenue than Elden Ring. (Which has sold almost 30.000.000... THIRTY... MILLION Copies.)
For them to even come close is actually preposterous.
(Which also means, they effectively near From Software's LIFETIME Revenue before Elden Ring. That company has existed since the end of the 80ies...)
And yes, they work hard on WuWa too, ofc.
But you are still being played.
Psychologically coerced into spending ludacris amounts on an EXTREMELY small portion of the game that doesn't function on it's own.
Meanwhile, Investors and Devs, are being effectively told that stupid Westerners and Asians buy seemingly everything for any Price.
And, if I put my tinfoil hat on...
If they drastically reduced the price of each pull... I mean DRASTICALLY, like to the point where you actually might feel it's worth it. Say 25 cents... A quarter, like a gachapon bubblegum machine, but with more profit margin, because digital goods are basically free to distribute, baby!
Then they would still make MASSIVE profits.
More than any Game of any size could ever need, certainly more than any Game of any size we have seen developed. (GTA 5 costed around 315 million to make, adjusted for inflation. Wuwa, apparently, 150 million USD. Half of that is usually Advertisement Cost and Fees, so they don't even go into the game, like how WuWa had Time Square rented?)
More fun thought experiments... Say 5% of all Players (on an EXTREMELY defensive guesstimate of half of the preregistration users as a baseline... So in total, instead of the 30 million pre regs, I counted only 15million total players) bought the BattlePass... ONCE... That feature, they designed once, didn't update with content, would've made over 7 million$.
Given how necessary these BP Items are for correctly progressing with new Characters, it's probably more than 5% and there are probably more than 15000000 Users at max potential but I wanted to be on the conservative side.
They made 140.000.000 within the first Month of release tho.
All of that rambling is simply to say... I appreciate what WuWa does for me and how it plays... But I hate it for what it is. I would prefer not having to gamble for Characters and Weapons and earn them. Even if it's grindy af. (Personally.) Which is not possible currently. (I have 100% collection Status, all challenges completed too.)

Man, of course people would appreciate Wuwa, they took Genshin removed all the shit hoyo did. and made an actually enjoyable game that doesn't have absurd LIMITS on everything they add.

What I liked most about WuWa's gacha is the weapon banner. Guaranteed in 80 pulls? I will take a piece of that action. It makes me want to pull on it to max out my characters - so instead of just pulling for someone else, I'm asking "how much damage could my DPS do with their signature weapon?" Also... the signature weapons are good for other characters... Like String Master, or Harvest of Ages.
    * I can't gush about the gameplay because I play on mobile and I'll just say it's fun, but cannot wait for this game to come to PS5 ... please come to PS5 soon. I'm liking it so far, but I want to love it.

I played genshin so much during the 6 months I had the game. At a time I had both Wuwa and Genshin, got bored with both, and just did dailies/logged off until it became too much to handle. However, Wuwa devs caring about the game made me return to Wuwa time and time again. For Genshin, I deleted that game and not once wanted to go back. Wuwa is just so much more f2p friendly and comfortable to play with.

Honestly launch issues were gacha in and of itself and I struck gold cause my 7yo rig with i5 and gtx 1060 is running it stable 40-60fps (depending on environment) with all max settings except blur and fsr turned off lmao
My S22 ultra is holding up pretty well too with high res and 45fps cap (top limit of yellow resource usage, right before it goes red) despite being the exynos version. That is until it starts to noticeably heat up after 30mins of play lol

Not trying to sound harsh but people in mobas and shooters are toxic because those games make you depend too much on teammates, if you feed too much you become a burden, in real life it would be the same, you could get your squad in big trouble if you make a mistake, the best way to solve that is learning the game and becoming as good as you can, sadly most people don't try hard enough. Yea I can see a lot of those people leaving and moving on to some gacha since they are easier 🤷‍♂

I dont understand praising something so much ESPECIALLY when compared to Hoyos games...and then acting like Kuro is listening...how? Even if the combat is good, what are you using it on? One new Hologram every 3 months that is fun for 20 minutes. I mean, some people are probably so bad that they cant even beat it in 3 months but cmon. For now, it is absolutely barren. Nothing to do. They give the impression that they have not learned from the criticism of Genshin at all. Even the combat, while it is good, almost anything but the most effective playstyle is a gimmick and isnt going to be used on harder content, making it basically obsolete and negligable. If Kuro did listen, they would pump out more combat content, more holograms, more of the things the differentiate them from Hoyo. Also, hard disagree personally on Kuros character design, its several leagues below Hoyos designs. The only characters I like visually are Yinlin and Changli, the other female characters are so ugly that it makes me skin crawl, aside from Encore, she is cute. The males are kinda nice, ngl, but who cares about that anyways in a gacha game?
Y'all can cope all you want..if Kuro tries to turn Wuwa into Genshin 2.0 then they will 100% fail and fade into obscurity and be happy to make 10 mil in a good month. They focus on the wrong things. The reason why Hoyo mostly didnt have to listen to people is because they were not focusing on the wrong things, namely those that the majority want. Now, I heard loads of people crying about difficulty in Genshin and Endgame and all...where is that in Wuthering Waves exactly? IT DOESNT EXIST and even WORSE yet..its less than even in Genshin...man. Oh HOW Kuro listened!

When did Genshin come out? Like, almost four years ago, right? When did Wuthering Waves come out? Just a few months ago. Yet, it already has a much better user experience. Skip content? Yep. Better gacha system? Yep. Better combat mechanics? Yep. Characters can run without stamina wasting? Yep. (Also not to mention the easy climbing). Wuthering Waves, mechanically, just feels better to play, where as Genshin has this slow-paced, clumsy feeling. It's not noticeable, until you play WuWa and then Genshin.
Your argument about other female characters being ugly is just nonsense, since it's personal preference. WuWa, objectively, has very well designed characters in both genders. Also, animation wise, WuWa is simply amazing, might be even better than Genshin.
Kuro is not trying to make Genshin 2.0, it's making Wuthering Waves, which can be even better than Genshin. If its development continues the way it is right now, in four years we might see something that will tower over Genshin.
But at the end of the day, both games have pros and cons, and arguing about which one is better is pointless.
