Hi May I know the details of the company you are recruiting for? I am studying Master of Agricultural Economics at UWA and potential agronomist looking for job.
going back to school in the spring for environmental studies because I want to get into the agriculture industry. this video is really informative, thank you !
I used to do molecular biology and some genetics around rice. I got out of it for things that sounded more glamorous but Funny how the world turns, 16 years later the idea of actually doing something useful that helps people and might let me live off the grid a little bit sounds way better!
hey! I am pursuing agriculture science from India and want your guidance to be an agronomist and job outside India if can help me through I will be highly grateful
This is inspiring I must say. Though I'm a final year student of plant physiology and crop production at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria. And I must say this, Agriculture is Life. No food no life!
I’ve been interested in plant science for a while my goal is to help create a stable food supply for the world while doing so in an environmental friendly way, I’m stuck between plant breeding and agronomy can anyone w experience offer some advice I’d greatly appreciate it 🌿🌿
Thanks for the wonderful video! I have a Bs as an agricultural technician (5 years). We have some things in common with the agronomists, but with more economics, management, and laws and similar, at least that what I got from the institute where I studied in Italy. Very happy to be in the agricultural field. Cheers colleague!
Have you thought of doing any educational videos on soil science, or any other aspects of agronomy and would you be willing to answer questions on balancing cations?
I just watched your video. I also want to be an Agronomist. Now, Im taking a bachelors degree in Agriculture and plan to finish my post grad school so that I can work abroad. Im from the Philippines btw.
I have a background in NRM and have switched to a Herbicide manufacturer/R+D company. Ive been at the GRDC research update in Bendigo today so this is really interesting. Statistics is massive!
This is what I’m talking to college advisors to become ❤❤❤❤. I had been disabled from Rheumatoid Arthritis but by me eating only real whole nutrient dense foods I brought all my RA symptoms down to zero and I have had the RA since I was first diagnosed at age 9 or 10 so now I want to help our farmers with regenerative farming in climate change and I think I want to go into research as well because it was the whole real foods that helped me not be in a wheelchair or have to use a scooter. Plus with climate change we’re going to need to be learning how to grow crops in hotter temperatures as well as potentially less water and or grow them different ways or get crops hardier.
Love this video and it looks like a great career! Is there much overlap between degrees in Agriculture vs Environmental Science or similar (soil science, hydrology, GIS etc)? i.e. can you do some env sci type of jobs with an ag degree and vice versa? Very interested in agronomy but also in broader enviro jobs that involve field and research work like this, and wondering how to keep my options open as much as possible.
I’m currently going to college to get my associates in crops & soils sciences and then getting my bachelors at wsu but I’m wondering with this career would I be able to live a very comfortable life?
Hi, Ma'am! I am a Agronomy student from the Philippines. I would like to ask permission if I can use some parts of your video for our promotional video about Agriculture. Hoping for you kind consideration, Ma'am.
Hello 👋 I’m starting uni soon. And I’m a little confused on the degrees. Please help me understand what the difference is between a crop science degree and an agriculture natural resource and environment degree
From a climatic point of view, Greece has almost the same climate as Australia. Or rather, the climatic conditions of the two states are similar. Greece has a temperate Mediterranean climate(Csa - Csb at Koppen). Its soils are calcareous with valleys of alluvial deposits. There is the cultivation of durum wheat (Thessaly) while in the plain of Macedonia we have tree crops that include species of the Rosaceae (Amygdaloideae) family. (almonds, apricots, peaches, cherries). However, our strength is olive and olive oil, citrus fruits and kiwis. Question, colleague ... What kind of soils do you have there due to soil degradation? What category do they belong to? I oversee aromatic medicinal plants like Thumus vulgaris , Origanum hirtum . It is a dynamic crop as climate change forces us to invest in plants with low water requirements.
