The Xenon UL2 is a greatly underrated tent. I've owned one for 6 years and had it out in all conditions without being let down. For the space and size the weight is truly amazing.

A great addition to your tent collection Martin, I definitely prefer the space of a 2 person tent! Sure what’s a bit of rain when there’s porridge, coffee and a walk to be had! A lovely night out 😎

I've had many tents. This is by far the one I most regret selling. The most underrated and best value tent on the market in my opinion. Coffin tents are fine in the best of weathers but in longer winter nights or when it rains you soon realise the benefits of a two man tunnel design. I used to love being able to as you said put the outer up first and get in in just a few minutes. I could put that thing up as a shelter with just the two poles in the flysheet, two pegs down one far end, pull it to shape then two pegs down the other. Throw everything including myself in and do the rest and the inner later. Btw I cut off that annoying trip hazard webbing from the front door and it made no difference to the tent at all so I highly recommended doing that. It really is the perfect tent. It's putnod my price range these days ( even though it is well priced compared to it's competitors ), but luckily the Scafell 200 is very similar, just heavier materials, and it can be had for under £100 too.

Yes this tent is such a winner. My main winter tent. Yes the strap at the door doesn't do much. I must take a look at it again. Can't wait to get out in this soon.

Decent camp. Great shots of the hike out. You wouldn't put your inlaws out in that never mind a drone. Shoaked to the shkin I'd imagine.

I swear by Vango tents. I've been using them for years and never had a complaint. Great design coupled with value for money and seemingly bullet proof. I use a Tempest Pro 200 and a Nevis 200 which together suit all of my needs. Never been let down by customer service either.

They are a brilliant manufacturer. Have a review of a new F10 tent they sente. Just finishing editing. The helium kis one of my favourite tents. Just adore it.

This is my main tent now for cycle touring. I've changed the guys to fluorescent dyneema ones and got some flysheet clips to hold the middle of the outer incase of side winds. I found it a bit low, I'm only 5'10" but my head was touching the inner whilst sitting up. So I've shortened the elastic holding the inner to the outer. It's still a bit low for my liking though. I haven't had much condensation yet or any problems with weather. I haven't bought another tent since this one, so must be a good sign!

I like the look of the Xenon UL2 + with the 2 side doors instead of the one at the end, bit more weight but then there wouldn’t be the stepping over the stuff in the porch to get in. I think Vango are unbeatable though especially if you can get an F10 tent in the sale

Nice to somebody enjoying the Xenon 2. I still use my F10 Nitro Lite 200 at 1.48kg. I upgraded the poles (from the 6mm ones) to the Xenon 7.9mm ones along with a Xenon footprint the whole thing is just below 1.8kg it’s insane!
Still thinking about the Xenon F10 UL air but the price 😱
The tunnel is my preferred tent over anything.

Have to say, that's an impressive size given the weight of just 1.8kg. Sadly they don't have a supplier in Spain but a great looking tent nonetheless. How'd the jacket hold up? ATB.

They need to introduce wolves, cougar and grizzlies to the UK. Then you'll have more to think about than a drizzle. "NO CELL SERVICE: is this the place to camp with ptarmigan loads?

Martin you had the F10 Helium UL1, what made you get the F10 Xenon UL2 when you wanted something bigger instead of getting the Helium UL2?

Do you think you would need the Xenon UL2 plus with the door at the side and the extra vestibule space (ideal for wet gear) or was there more than enough in the non plus version?

The sheer size of the rucksacks ruin it for me I’m super fit power walked with weights 10 yrs day in day out the moment I put on a rucksack full of gear I’m sweating like a glass blowers arse and super annoyed tried it again 2 days ago my shoulders still feel
Like someone with two meat hooks put there knee into my back and pulled the meat hooks embedded into my shoulders backwards
