- I finally got to learn about Aatrox! Not just his voice lines this time. He is definitely the most badass Darkin hand down. He can kill a celestial. Aarox killed the Aspect of War (Pantheon) which inhabited Atreus. Atreus can still use Aspect powers, but is no longer a host. Also, Zoe herself was not the host of the Aspect of Twilight at the time of Aatrox's imprisonment. It was the previous host before Zoe that helped mortals lock up the Darkin.
When you realize that the only reason why Aatrox screams so much is because he is terrified of not being heard, the only reason he kills is out of pure despair and in search of the slightest grim of hope that maybe someone can destroy him and his blade, and when you realize that the reason why he has so many quotes in the 3rd person is because he's afraid of being alone... such a sad character, From The strongest Hero That has been born, to a Betrayed Madman who has lost hope even in death, carried now only by his former pride...Also the thing about the “Fight or be forgotten” line is… Old Aatrox told this to his enemies. New Aatrox tells this to himself. If he stop fighting, he reverts into prison… In the dark, hungry, unable to breath, unable to scream… Just a sword, buried and… Forgotten.
Yeah Aatrox is definitely one of the best written characters Riot ever made, one of the best character backstories, amazing VA, great visuals, everything is just perfect. Definitely the most memorable character they will ever make imo.

So yes, Aatrox could likely kill Anivia. We know he has the power to snuff out an Aspect and Xolaani has the ability to absorb one, both with blood magic, so it's more then likely that he could fully destroy the likes of Anivia.
Also, one of the widely accepted stories about why Aatrox has SO MANY lines and they're just so scathing is that the voice actor for him, Tikaram, was having an absolute blast with Aatrox and the writing team kept coming up with more and more lines and he just kept going and just nailing each and every one of them, so they all ended up getting added in the game, though a few of the harsher ones (the ones in response to mastery flashes for example) have been removed cause they were "too upsetting." The other story there is actualy a Rioter while playing got his ass handed to him by an Aatrox on stream and shortly after the voice lines were removed, so even though there's no confirmation many believe he somehow got them axed lol

In the first three minutes, when you said "and we know that Shurima fell because of..." and I was thinking immediately to myself, because of Xerath... Shurima fell, because of Xerath, the Darkin became a thing, because of Xerath, the only Shurimian calamity he didn't bring was the Void, but when it comes to all the other fuckery happening in Shurima, yeah... It's all Xerath's fault, the ultimate big bad of Shurima
fun fact, when Atreus beat Aatrox, he managed to cut off his hand that was wielding the blade, supposedly detaching him from his host. That may be why Aatrox now has an armored gauntlet (made of flesh of course) on his hand.
About Illaoi's fact on the wiki. Essentially Shuriman ascended are a replica of Mount Targon's ascended aspects. The celestials guided some targonians to build a sun disc on the desert, and after a failed first attempt, the second and bigger sundisc was a success. It redirects Aurelion's magic to create god warriors, without needing them to climb a mountain.
The difference is that they are not bound to a celestial aspect, but apparently they are still bound to a minor celestial idea/constellation/being/star. So all the darkins were representing an idea or concept of something when they were still ascended, the same way the aspects represent "war", "justice", "sun", etc. But the moment they were either killed with Sivi'rs weapon, or sealed/banished in their own weapons, that idea/constellation disappeared, the same way the constellation of the warrior disappeared when Aatrox killed Pantheon.
There's some conflict, like, why does war is still exist as a concept if the aspect of war died then? Maybe is just because the shuriman ascended are minor celestials than the aspects, so only the shuriman ascended disappear when their respective warrior dies. Or maybe because the shuriman ascended idea related to the warrior fully embodies them the same way the aspect of war decided to possess atreus instead of trusting him and just lending him his power like the other aspects do with their hosts.
So Illaoi's god, being the god of motion, would see Aatrox's eternal prison as "being still", so it would help Aatrox to "keep moving", or dying and in that way release him.

Didnt Rioters say that Aatrox killed the celestial being Pantheon, but the idea of War still exists and is connected to Atreus - so thats why there isnt world-wide peace. Tbh i find this whole concept of entire ideas and concepts being erased from existence very flimsy and subject to change and rewriting. Its super weird and dumb imo, especially when you realize that there has ever been only one celestial that ever died (Pantheon - so how do we even know about the whole ideas being gone along side the celestial?) and then the whole thing of a literal army of Darkin worth of ideas and concepts also being gone just kinda starts to make less and less sense, at least to me it doesnt make any sense - that part of the lore is full of logical potholes
@@FallenGranny yeah, I also learned about that part of the lore the same way he did on the wiki trivia through that Aatrox and Illali fact. I didn't know shuriman ascended were linked to a celestial idea like the aspects. And yeah, I think they just didn't continue on that idea of concepts being erased whenever an aspect or ascended dies. That would've been confusing.
@@greenin5537 I think they will for sure retcon that idea of celestial dying = concept being erased as thats just too hard to pull off well and for it to make sense in the universe (it was a decent attempt tho), afaik the shuriman golden disc gives the same effects as ascending mount targon, except maybe more mass produced and probably a bit lower quality (as that was the whole point of it) - but there is almost no lore to support this either way, its just speculation.
btw that wiki page hasnt been updated in a while clearly, the bit in relation with leona where it calls Aatrox a careless leader is straight up wrong (look LoR interactions), and on top of this it isnt stated that he has connections with like 12 new darkin characters that were added (or however many there are i dont remember) so dont take what wiki says at face value, its just a product of fans adding to it and they can be wrong or lazy :P (speaking from personal experience xD)
Necrit has several more videos on the Darkin story. LoR and the Darkin expansion REALLY expanded the Darkin storyline. A bunch of new Darkin were revealed. Xolaani was a new Darkin revealed to possibly be THE MOST IMPORTANT non-champion character. The Darkin civil war started between Aatrox and her. SHE is responsible for the blood magic the Darkin wield. And because [redacted for suspense and spoilers], the main goal of every Darkin alive including Aatrox is to kill Xolaani. Aatrox will happily destroy the world, AFTER she's dead if he could. All of the LoR interactions are fire. Even the follower interactions. The Darkin story overall is just the best storyline Riot has imo.
More LoR on this channel would be dope in general, that game did far more to expand Runeterras world than league by a longshot

Everything was covered well, except that you didnt include LoR Aatrox voicelines - only the official trailer, which is sad cos they are the most recent VLs done for Aatrox and show a whole new side to his character when we see him interact with his fellow Darkin (and they are pretty awesome imo), perhaps you can add it in later on in an unrelated video or something, would be nice - they are definitely worth it imo
Also, the wiki seems to not be updated recently, as the whole part about his relation with Leona and him being a careless leader is straight up wrong - he merely doesnt care about humans as he sees us as lesser beings, with his fellow Darkin he is much more kind (as well as many other connections not being mentioned on the wiki that we got from the newer LoR expansion), seriously, i cant recommend LoR Aatrox interactions enough, they are very very good! Hope you end up reacting to them as well :P
Oh also wanted to asnwer one of your questions about Aatroxes power - yes im pretty confident in saying that at this point, Aatrox seems to be powerful enough to fight and beat literally anyone other than maybe Asol, as in the LoR expansion we see Aatrox fighting fellow mind-controlled darkin, Kayle, Mihira, Xolaani and Ryze ALL AT THE SAME TIME (also potentially Bard as well), my guy is on a whole other level of power - he is , in fact, The World Ender

Since i got your attention rn, i will repeat some of the things i already said in previous videos, more LoR reactions - mb even more general region reactions (i think skinspotlights channel does them as well), LoR has advanced the lore far more than League imo, especially when it comes to visualisation of places and people and things + super epic art.
And when you eventually make Swain pt2 which i am greatly looking forward to, i hope you read the 2 extra stories Proclamation of the Trifarix (a very short story), and The Principles of Strength (one of the best they wrote imho) - as these are essential for understanding how Noxus works and what is currently going on under Swain!
And last last thing, it would be super awesome to see you react to Katarinas new comic, its last parts are released this wednesday i believe, so it would be the perfect time for you to read and react to them :D.

21:33 - The Justicar skin is awesome lore-wise.
You see, in the old pre-rework lore Aatrox was there on every battlefield just to fight and fill his hungers or whatever he did
He usually joined the side that were loosing so the fight would continue, more poeple would die, more blood would spill and so on and so on.
Default skin Aatrox was this monster being, this thing on the battlefield massacring seamingly everyone on its sight.
Justicar on the other hand was seen by those "loosers" who Aatrox "aided", he was seen as this angelic being, sent from heavens to help them overthrow the opressors, win lost battles, reclaim territories, whatever.
That's why even though some poeple see this skin as ugly, it will always be my favourite.........

Aatrox: he has killed an Aspect, literally a concept of a god.
Vladimir: he has killed a Darkin, so even gods were freaked out.
Aurelion Sol: Well, all the light, every star, the fact that light exists- all by his will. And he a little bit mad about Targon...

When aatrox said "I did not think my fellows weak,rhaast" , his referring about rhaast struggling to take over kayn's body not because rhaast is weak, it's because kayn is too strong for him

the first skin what u did not liked is basicly his godly warrior skin, thats why hes so flashy and not suitable, cuz its his shurimans ascended visual looks before he was prisoned.
46:20 i will answer,Yes aatrox can solo this Demigods,they are actually very weak compared to him,one attack from Aatrox deleted concept of war aka aspect of war from reality,aspects represent concepts in reality,so aspects are at least universal level beings,also they are 5D tancendants,they trancend mortal and physical realm,yes they are immortal,but aatrox broke that and killed aspect by one attack while he was weakened,he deleted Aspect of war from reality,also when concept is deleted from reality, reality changes or falls into nothingness if its celestial who died,but in that situation aspect died,btw reality doesn't changed because Atreus reincarnated as concept of war, now Atreus is mortal and weaker version of Concept of war aka aspect of war Pantheon,also in past aatrox was ascended but also aatrox was aspect,its not mentioned in lore so not many know that lore writer confirmed that,so, conclusion,aatrox had concept because he was aspect(because every aspect true form in concept)but as i mentioned when concept is deleted from reality as aatrox concept was deleted reality changes,so now canon League is changed world and no one remembers what was the aatrox concept,because aatrox concept was deleted,also yes he was very strong,his presence was on same level as Zoes,who scales to low-outer,his presence breaks mathematics of reality and warps reality in aspect form.

Ayy aatrox let's goo, also they have changed aatrox a bit, they have removed the revive on his ultimate and added more stats etc to it, also the old aatrox use to have the revive as his passive and every 3rd attack healed him with life steal
Against anivia is hard to say (she is the weakest of the primordial gods), but the Volibear would 100% destroy Aatrox.
X to doubt, primordial gods are weaker than celestials in almost every way, and Aatrox already killed a celestial (and one of the stronger ones - at least in a combat sense), not the mention the recent Darkin War lore expansion for LoR, where Aatrox is fighting multiple top of the power list characters all at once - in a seeming stalemate. Primordial gods wouldnt stand a chance imo
@@FallenGranny Celestials are limited by their vessel, they are not at their most powerful form in runeterra, thats why, not couting the stronger aspects like kayle/zoe, the others would lose to Peak Volibear.
@@FallenGranny Also, until the retcon (that is probably going to happen to the aspects) Aatrox only killed 'The Warrior' manifestation of WAR, he did not kill WAR itself, Rioters confirmed in Q&As that aspects are the manifestations of certain concepts. If they'd die, then that concept dies too. many people have this misconception but WAR is not dead, WAR lives in Atreus now.

Btw this whole part of the lore is for sure getting retconned, its so convoluted and has an infinite amount of logical potholes. How do we know that the entire idea/concept dissapears if we only ever saw Pantheon die? Arent Darkin supposed to also represent celestial concepts before their imprisonment? If so are they really saying that an entire Darkin army worth of lesser concepts/thoughts got wiped out when the Darking wars concluded? I really dislike this whole celestial bs part of the lore and i hope they rewrite it.
But to your first comment, that is true, but i still doubt the lore strength of primal gods - we literally never saw them interact with any powerful being (except volli blinding Lissandra i suppose), so their power levels are pure speculation, no? (i could be wrong, i havent really dedicated the time to Freljord lore as it doesnt interest me much)
Also, it would be rather strange and out of character for celestials to create primal gods - which would be more powerful than their physical versions on Runeterra. Celestials are very selfish and greedy when it comes to things like control and power, i would argue there aint no way they willingly created something with free will like primal gods and made them be able to defeat celestial earthly embodiments
By the way I don't really agree when you say "this skin doesn't fit his villainous character" because 1.they are just skins, they don't have to fit the characters traits; 2.i think that's kind of the beauty of some skins. You know, having a bright, heroic, silly skin, for a villainous character. Besides Aatrox there's endless examples, a couple that come to mind are, the "Meowrick" skin for Yorick and the "Pajama Guardian" skin for Urgot, and I think that's awesome to have that, if you follow the characters traits all time when making a skin that's gonna always fit his/her/it's character, I think it would get boring and stale pretty fast, so yeah, I just don't agree with that specific point of view
in addition to this.. Justicar Aatrox possibly might be what he would looked like shortly after the Ascension

@@AvanteReacts Please do them, you said you are interested where they take his lore, and the newer LoR expansion for Aatrox is cannonical! (mostly) so you reacting to those LoR itneractions will help a lot!
maybe if you are really interested you could react to the card art and text as well (doing it in the game itself would be the easiest way imo) - but this is just if you want to get all the lore - this would include all the darkin weapons and their true forms, as well as Aatrox, Xolaani (she has like 3 differet forms) and Mihira, momentous choice card, Yun ( i think im not missing anyone), or if you are interested i can give you a short version of the current cannon, though piecing it together on your own is much more interesting imo

No, they arent, we dont know what Aatrox looked like before becoming Darkin, however we do know what all the other Ascended look like - they are all egyptian god inspired humanoid animals. So its very likely that Aatrox was also basically an egyptian furry in golden armor and a celestial cloak/wings ( i think its mentioned somewhere he had either wings or a cloak of starlight, i might be misremembering). Its debatable what animal suits Aatrox the most (him being closely related to honor and glory in his past life - the animals Ascended turn into are connected with what they stood for), i always imagined him as a lion or mb a goat or a ram

@@K1ngCatz The only reason why it might be a goat or a ram, is because his current form is supposed to be a close approximation of what he looked like - as he desperately tries to reshape his body. And his current form has horns - which is very likely to just be a helmet that he wore before (because a ton of other Darkin have horns as well - like Rhaast, Joraal etc) , but it could also be literal horns of a goat or smth. who knows this is all speculation. Lion suits the honor and bravery aspect more for sure tho + shurima is in a desert hence lions.
Sorry but when he kills Darius it's my favourite. "An axe Darius...the weapon of a simpleton" now every game I play and I see an axe I can't stop laughing. But yea Aatrox is just rude lol
