Good recipe. Well explained. I put my washed jam jars in the microwave with a tablespoon of cold water in each for about a minute. They get steam cleaned.
Ooo, this is probably my most asked for produce at the office. Some people prefer just the rhubarb! Another few months and we will be picking some and making another batch! 💚🌱😊
Thank you Kelly! I did want to do a chocolate beetroot cake at some point and remake the jam video! I just find I'm knackered after a day down the plot! But I can see what I can do 💚😊🌱
Great content and yes more of vids like this it’s nice to see what peeps do with what they grow. I made strawberry jam last week as I had so many strawberries
Thank you Belinda! Thanks for the feedback, it's always really appreciated! Oh nice one! I never have enough strawberries to make jam, most of them get eaten down on the plot! I'm thinking of adding a new strawberry bed somewhere... Take care and happy gardening! JArthur 🌱 🌱
It's a great perrenial plant that gives plenty of crop if looked after well and well watered! I'm glad you liked the recipe too. It's a real easy jam to follow 😊 JArthur 🌱 🌱
I love ginger in jams, yum. Rhubarb is one of my favourite plants. I have the red ones. I will check my pant tomorrow and maybe make some jam or pie. Check Apricot Ginger Raspberry Jam, that's a really nice combo too.
Same here! Love that fiery taste from ginger in sweet things and savoury dishes. The sunlight helps with the redness on the bottom parts of the plant too! Oh nice. I don't know anyone with apricots though! Maybe that's the next tree to buy 🤔😅
Thanks for the feedback! Always appreciated! I'm thinking of a homemade lemonade recipe I have, maybe? Shame I can't grow the lemons 🍋😂 Happy Gardening AND Jam Making! 🫙🌱🌱
Hi Jake, my first time here. You did not say how you 'finished" the jam - I am assuming by the hot pack/ turn upside down to cool & vacuum seal method? Or, did you water-bath can them for 10-15 min? (I've only learned of the hot-pack & upside down UK method in the past couple of days. Nice & simple. I like it.) Thank you!
