I have a kia sorento 2003 3.5 since I changed the charcoal canister I started to 1- feel a strong odor smell of vapors and 2- the fuel consumption has increased considerably 3- when the air conditioner starts to shake. I have tried to correct the problem by changing the purge valve, selenoid valve, replaced some old lines, vent valve (inside of fuel tank), fuel pump and filter, pcv valve. The last thing I did was to clean the canister converter that is under the driver's seat and it does not tremble so much anymore. I do not know much about mechanics but I dare to do some things. If you are going to put a new set of wires in then just cut the boots and pull them free. If you really want one then get a plug wire holder kit for the new ones and fish them through one at a time. easy peasy.

Eric can you show where the fuel pressure regulator line runs to. I took Everything apart and now can not figure out where the fuel pressure regulator line connects too
So are you able to change the plugs without removing the intake plenum? I got a misfire on #6 and I'm going to change the wires and plugs and don't want to take the plenum off again lol.
Not you dont need to remove the intake plenum, you do need to remove the throttle body and if you want better access you will need to remove the wiper motor assembly

This is nuts. You have to pull half the fucking engine apart to change the spark plugs. I wish I'd seen this before I brought one of these pieces of shit.
ERICSDIYGARAGE I did, and the miss fire Stay in the same 1/4 if I disconnect #1, coil 4 start throwing sparks around the cable connector, The cables look fairly good but you never now, what will be a good brand except the dealer I think they want $300 for them.

I replaced both plugs and wires without removing the intake. I cut the old ones out and ran the new wires around the back.

So there is only 3 coils for 6 plugs? And the 3 plugs on the passenger side have lines that run to the coils on the driver side?
it has 3 coil packs that send signal to the other 3 wire plug on the passenger side.
What about the wires with the black clip that's near the firewall that holds the wires??

@@johnmiller623 it's a V6 so it has 6 spark plugs. The vehicle has a coil pack wire design so uses of 3 packs to send signal to the spark plug wires

If you just need the spark plugs you can just remove the throttle body and you'll be able to swap them out.
