Every battlereport I watch is just so fascinating. Im astonished how it changes in every turn and how it swings from literally one turn to the other. Losing the 95th got a justifiable rollicking from the Missus...LOL. Hope to see more BP battlereports

This battle report was pure comedy. You make playing Black Powder look very easy to play and understand. Looking forward to picking up some of the ACW figures this December to try it out myself.
Martin, yet again another great report and game. I have now come to the conclusion that the 95th will only stand and fight hard for Hallie, they respect her. They don't like you, you must be a "Simmerson" type commander to them. a Murdering type of officer. LOL.

Brilliant close game, the Congreve rockets are lethal to all on the field of battle. I think the Hanoverians were struck twice and the French not at all!

They used their initiative to charge the highlanders (i think haha) though but after that were shaken for the rest of the game 😀

If the same unit were to be lucky enough to emerge victorious from a second engagement, breaking the enemy in the process, then it can’t make a second sweeping advance and charge. Hi there, thanks very much, glad your enjoying them. Most my figures are Warlord Games, Perry Miniatures and Victrix Miniatures. To be honest with the exception of the 95th Riflea i just went on GMB Designs website and selected flags i liked the look of then painted the regiments accordingly 👍

Absolutely love your channels and battle reports. Two quick questions. Where did you get your shaken and disorder mdf tokens ? Also where did you get your fur fields ? Great content keep it up.
Thats great to hear, thanks for that 😃👍 will be more as we can do them. The mdf tokens are a custom order from Warbases, they have a custom option in the token section. The fields are made from teddy bear fur, i get it either on ebay or at department stores, i then colour it lightly and comb the paint through to tint it 😃
Also at the turn the Hanoverian cavalry charged could you explain to us new people how it affected three units maybe do a little tactics video thank you
Sure, good idea, may do that. Basically in this instance the Hussars elected to charge the old guard and only needed one order to do it but on the roll recieved 3 orders. The Old guard had to test to form square which they did. Cavalry will never charge home against a formed square (will against a disordered one) and can carry on round the unit. Now we treat it like a sweaping advance so if they wish and they still have the move they can charge a fresh unit, which they did, which formed square again and then they charged home against the cannons. May have been a bit loose with the rules but couldnt find an answer at the time and it was fun 😀👍

I've enjoyed these battle reports, and i like the way you can play it on a 6' x 4' table, which is what i have. After painting 15mm ancient armies for a number of years, i wanted to paint something "bigger", but shied away from Napoleonics due to the thought of painting the uniforms. After watching your painting videos i realised it was possible, so i've now ordered some Warlord figures and look forward to painting them up and playing with the Black Powder ruleset. I might even be able to get my non- wargaming friend playing, as i think the figures and table will look so tempting, and the Black Powder rules are so playable. (I am pondering the Warlord Waterloo starter 2nd ed., so it's a beginning, but I am wondering about next steps to get a reasonable bunch for battles).
But I am guessing around 180 infantry on each side in the game video here... plus around 12 cavalry per side (and the batteries are easy to check, as are commanders)... unsure if I missed anything
I think there was just shy of 500 minis on the board. 24 men per battalion, 12 for each cav inot (, french had 2), cannon batteries, command stands and Skirmishers. They are a mixture, mainly of Warlord, Perry and Victrix 👍
Where you foun british or french aiming miniatures? I want to star with black powder but all i see is walking miniatures and i want some there are aming for mi units

Alejandro Tabilo I actually play Flames of War with a friend who lives in England, I live in Colorado USA. I have the table and miniatures as well as move them . He tells me what he wants to do movement and fire wise then he rolls his dice. It works well , we use Messenger or FaceTime.

The French always seem to have a tough time on your channel. This one was down to the wire though!

Because they were 1/2 defending an obstacle, which means your not required to 👍 though I've realised that we forgot to add that to their morale save 😀

@@7thson726 Love to see if you go really slowly ( doesnt have to be hours worth ) just some of the mechanics , explain every decision and where you pulled the roll from in the book . The game doesnt have to finish but would like that rules experiences coaching
Alejandro Tabilo I actually play Flames of War with a friend who lives in England, I live in Colorado USA. I have the table and miniatures as well as move them . He tells me what he wants to do movement and fire wise then he rolls his dice. It works well , we use Messenger or FaceTime.
