As a genuine Breitling owner I am ashamed to say I picked the fake!
Watch people that I show in person do the same. It is nuts how close they are.
Snap I to feel ashamed as I choose a replica
Same even I have the Original watch and I pick the fake and I was quite confident about picking the fake one, I actually checked if mine was fake but I have all the certificates and all and it’s from BREITLING store
The one on the right does not shine which proves that its fake.
@@lewisevander And the bezel numbers are faded. You dont get that quality finish.
Those who design the replicas are stupid. They should make it identical. Only movement should be diff and thats all.
No close up review? Oh c’mon. Cant even see the logo on both for comparison.
The triangle in the replica's bezel comes to a full point -- the genuine bezel's triangle doesn't. Also, the lume pip is correctly centered in the genuine article.
I've noticed the black in the bezel on my 42mm is pretty matte so I assumed the light blue was genuine from the start.
You prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last few weeks xD
@Anson Rey Definitely, I have been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :)
I thought I bought a fake Breitling boy I almost raised HELL!! one pawnshop told me he wouldn’t even look at it cause it was Fake, then I took To a Breitling distributor had to pay 300 😒 for them too open it up and reassure me! Everything in this video on point with what he was showing n telling me
They should have serviced it for $300
The wings of the Breitling logo are different. The top of it is much larger on the fake. Good video! Now this is the 44mm, is there one for the 42mm version?
glincho nope ,no 42mm replica
Wow they are even getting the reflective sapphire good .. that’s scary
OMG! The wing logo on the dial seems even prettier on the replica one!!
Evilcartmancobra I'm debating on buying a authentic superocean 44 vs superocean 44 special & wanted to know how it adds up after having it for a while? Great videos
I think the polished chrome looks better than the brushed IMO.
Ok so long story short, I bought high end replicas of 44mm Superocean and Seamaster to wear them both to make a firm decision on which of the genuine watches I would buy. What I didn't freaking know is there are a couple of qualities on the replica that aren't on the genuine and I'm significantly disappointed, go figure.
1st off, the green colored markers on the replica aren't on the genuine (HUGE disappointment). The bracelet has extra engraving on the clasp. There are polished accents on the markers on the replica that aren't on the genuine.
I wish I didn't overlook these details when I was at my Authorized Dealer today bc I honestly would've passed on this Superocean. For those of you wanting to make sure you didn't buy a replica accidentally - rest assured just about every detail has differences.
Anyway just thought I'd share that. The genuine does have far greater quality on the bezel markers and rubber. Better detail on the logo. Hands are slightly bigger. Second hand triangle is bigger. And 12:00 lumed marker is better quality too.
I'm still bummed tho. But at least I can still wear my replica and love on the green colored lume 😄
Replica probably took the wind out of your sails in terms of wanting to splurge on a real Breitling. Dropping a few grand more on a thing that looks and feels 95% as your replica is a big step, one wonders if it should be taken at all.
Anyway, did you end up buying the real thing? ⌚ 🤔
@@Phoenix_cataclysm_in_2040 I did. But I wasted A LOT of money trying to buy a watch that would keep me happy without the $5.5k pricetag of a Seamaster*. I bought Aquis, Aquaracer, Sin 104 blue dial, Superocean, then Seamaster... if I was smart, I would've just bought the Seamaster first, and saved several thousands of dollars on watches that I wanted to be a Seamaster lol
@@Phoenix_cataclysm_in_2040 the thing that really sucks is I have a Superocean 44, orange Aquis, and the Sinn 104 with rare blue dial that I want to sell, but I don't want to deal with the internet tax on ebay now
@@johnkennedy9078
Then don't rush. The unwillingness to pay internet tax may actually be your camouflaged subconscious unwillingness to sell them per se. Give time then for one of these desires to win; eventually you'll either be absolutely firm to sell them and will do everything needed to let them go, or will confidently put them back on your shelf, never to part.
It's not time yet for either of these.
I simply cannot justify spending £4-6k on original one, so replica will do me just fine. Honestly. And if anyone would ask me - I'd say there and then that it's not a real one.
The technology used and workmanship that goes in the replicas is scary good now. Even some of the movements are being cloned with great success.
Do you still have both watches? How have they endured?
the fake one sources the same clasp from the same Chinese factory that makes the real one but they sell them without logos so the replica company must do that themselves so the position is off. most of the time the parts the replica companies buy are just real parts that didn't pass quality control so they sell them in bulk for discount. this is common in many factories especially in China
I figured it was the one on the left because the bezel pearl was properly centered in the triangle. Other than that, I noticed the slight different color of the bezel but I wouldn't have known without guessing but the pearl was my tell sign.
at the beginning I thought the right one was the real....
Bonny Stark me too.
The fakes just can't seem to get the rubber bezel right. The color is WAY off - I assume because the right composition for the rubber compound is hard to match. Also, the metal inset minute markers 1-15 are noticeably thinner on the fake. I think the 5 minute markers are thinner, too, but that's a harder call. The font on the 15 is also very slightly narrower. And as someone else pointed out, the triangle on the fake comes to a point and the real doesn't even come close to doing so. As noted, the ubiquitous off center lume dot in the triangle is another give away. It's strange how far the fakers go to replicate every detail and then always screw up the lume dot placement.
The rest of it? Holy crap, that's hard to tell.
But how's the water resistance? Am I correct to assume that it's almost absent?
The replica has sealed and pressure tested.
What’s the movement in the replica ?
Does the fake have the small "B" engraved on the dial?
Bezels on some Superocean 44 blues appear to be darker, so i wouldnt say they necessarily have to match. My 2017 a17392 has a darker blue bezel.
sorry forgot to add, awesome review thanks
where can I buy this replica?
The clarity of the print was caused me to pick the one on the left. If you look closely, you can see how much more clear the print is.
I thought the right one was the real becr it looked so much better. Well as I always say u pay for what u don't get.
Well i am glad mine is a genuine Breitling. These replicas should be banned man.. there should be some strict laws. Most of these replicas come from Thailand and these bastards make these watches in such a way that it gets hard for people to tell if it's fake or not. Moral of the story: Get your watches only from trusted boutiques, jewellers or retailers. Don't buy online or through friends, those watches might be genuine in some cases but most probably not.
(1) They are illegal. (2) People who buy fakes typically want to buy fakes.
Heres a question: do the replicas come with the digital warranty card that breitling uses?
I’d love to know the answer to this.
I have ordered one on Chrono24. I noticed the grooves on the lugs were different. The real lugs had deeper grooves.
Hello, i want to get a watch on chrono24 aswell , is it safe? can i have my money back if i find out the watch is fake ? Can you please share your experience
I have wanted to get a rep of my daytona for when I travel or go to places I would be worried about being robbed. I know alot of people do the same but I never know where to get them.
You can tell easily straight from the off.
I first thought the one on the right was the original one as it looked better however once i started moving them i noticed the one on the right does not shine at all.
This is scary. I am in the market for one of those Breitlings and I wasn't thinking there might be replicas of them since these aren't very high volume.
I immediately spotted the original! And btw, it is not called Replica, it’s a Fake. A Replica would look like it but not call itself Breitling. The Fake does....
They are definitely replicas lol. An homage is a watch that copies the original design but uses different branding. Plenty of homage watches in the market, so calling a replica an homage is just plain wrong.
Let’s agree Fake is shit anyhow...
…nope, that is just incorrect. A replica with the brand name Breitling can only be produced, according to global product law, by the Manufacturer of Origin which is Breitling. So, it’s a Fake.... there is not one thing to argue about that considering law. But we can also agree that’s shit btw…
Real Breitling is way overpriced. You get better movements with Seiko at a much cheaper price. You pay mostly for marketing and thats what your not paying with replicas MARKETING lol. Sorry rich fellow Breitling owners but most of you just buy expensive watches to flash with no knowledge of movements. Us replica buyers
we buy it cause we like the look and dont want to remortage a house to get the real overpriced thing.
@@levedia HAHAHAHA you know nothing!!! the REAL breitling superocean has a tough reliable ETA 2824 movement that is modified and finished very nicely the bracelet and clasp are very solid ( miles above Seiko ) along with good finishing also this watch is 500 meters water resistant also these breitling superoceans can be $2,500 or slightly less pre owned and trust me Seiko is DOGS HIT compared to breitling I doubt you have ever even owned a breitling watch ever!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😎👍
Why do you call it a replica instead of counterfeit? If it is violating trademark, it is counterfeit.
I'm happy with my Vostok Amphibias I ordered from Russia. I am sure they are real. They kick butt.
I can't believe u can get that level of a rep for $288. Insane
Dude if you know anything about watches can i DM or talk to you somewhere because i found a breitling watch at home and i wanna know if its fake
I don't want to give you bad info. I would do one of two things, contact Breitling and give them the serial number or info on the watch. Take it to a Breitling boutique and they should be able to tell you. It might be worth looking online and seeing if they even make a replica of the watch you have.
@@Evilcartmancobra ok ty
Where can I get the copy
Need to look inside the machenics of the watches.
I saw fake instantly bcs of bezel 60 mark pip
where I can buy a good breitling replica. I am asking for a source
Go to reddit
DHgate-Online.... U get shit loads of replicas
@International Survival Group stop yelling at people!!! I agree with you though... Tudor is another great watch company that doesn’t cost as much as it should. Made by Rolex
I started buying reps when I learned that the new Seamasters only cost around $500 to make. They retail for like 5k
Yeah well , wait until you hear how much gucci products cost to make 😂
That’s fine as long as you’re okay with tossing it in the trash when it needs service (2-5 years usually). I have nothing against fakes, but lots of people don’t realize most watchmakers will refuse to service them.
Also, value is a important consideration. I have a few watches that weren’t cheap to buy, but I’ve sold for much more than I paid for them. That won’t happen with a fake.
So it’s up to you. Spend a few hundred on a fake that’ll last you a few years, or spend a few thousand on the real thing that will last you forever as long as you service it and could potentially make you money when you sell it.
@@nofxslc yeah my opinion didn't last long. Bought reps of superocean and seamaster. Ended up buying genuine Superocean and now on the fence w genuine Seamaster. And for what it's worth the best version of Superocean clone I bought - died after about 2 months
@@nofxslc Im not at all against clones tho. For me I bought one of each to decide which genuine I was gonna buy.
I agree. My first “luxury” watches were fakes I bought in Dubai. Now I own the real versions. Fakes can be a stepping stone to the real thing. Mine didn’t last long either.
Thank you for the the video but this video should be in close up POV it will be more helpful
Thank you for making this video.
It's very helpful to those of us in the market for a genuine, so we know what to look out for.
Where can i find that replica? Im interested in buying a real 44 also but id like to wear the replica and not worry about wear and tear in some spots.
Fake is fake doesn't feel the same knowing it's fake.
The fake one is blue. Easy to spot and the bracelet looks fake when you are rich. Easy. The real one cost 10 000 dollards while the fake cost 5000 dollards
Ummm, you are way off on the pricing. The Superocean II is a cheaper Breitling. A good watch, I love it, but not even $5k for the real watch. $4,200 was the retail price.
The bezel gives it away straight away, you can get much closer replicas now.
Thanks for sharing, I am terrified of buy a fake...
Serial numbers in the bracelet
My boss has different high end watches and for each of them he has a replica, the real ones are kept at the bank for protection and he daily uses his replicas.
@Lee, I have seen them with my own eyes,
@Lee To each their own.
Buying from Jomashop doesn’t really guarantee that it’s real though
At the end of the video, showing the lume, they’ve been swithched. I believe the real watch is now on the right.
Jesus the fake looks better than the real one..
No engraving on the inside of the clasp is a dead giveaway
The lume is usually the giveaway. But here they look similar
To the naked eye & quick glance, they look the same!
honestly, this is worrying, I checked my watch 10 times after watching your video, do fake watches come with Breitling warranty card?
The card is the easiest thing to fake. They even sell fake boxes...
Fair enough
TOTALLY BUYING A REPLICA!!! I WILL POCKET THE EXTRA 2500 THANKS CHINA MAN HERE I COME
Alot of counterfeits are identical, they are simply not licensed merchandise. Alot of the counterfeit colognes and perfumes in NYC are real, they're just stolen , hence not licensed 🤣
They're both real.
I own a Breitling Colt GMT and I choice the fake one as the real one...Sheesh!!
How could you not mention looking at the movement
Because I'm not cracking the seal on my watches. I don't want to compromise the water resistance. This video is to help people buying a watch identify a replica. Most people won't open the case themselves before buying it and a watchmaker will know a genuine movement.
Having replicas like this, it is silly to spend money on an original
I prefer the genuine. It will last longer. You know it is the real deal. It will be more accurate. However in most cases it is at least 10x as much if not more. Completely different budget. There are a lot of nice watches out there in the lower budget range as an alternative though.
Is this GF or Noob rep?
$160 vs $10K+ who the fck cares.
This is just like a radio Demonstration. there is nothing to see !
Great vid thankyou very much
bad lightning
Thanks for the video, don’t support the replica market people!
I’d really like to own the replica though so I wouldn’t have to worry about messing up my real one at work haha
Lee already own the real deal bud
That's what G-shocks are for.
The worst replica video ever
Sorry, they are both FAKE.
No, one is a Authentic Breitling. Check my other unboxing video of it.
Your a complete twat
Wat a troll twat
Too much mumbling and bumbling
Both are fake look at bezel, crisp and the steelm this pentejo is looking for bread and we have NO honbre burittos
You can always tell a fake by the cheap tick tick movement of the second hand. Swiss movement is always a sweep second hand. Fakes have japan tick stop tick stop cheap movements like a 12 dollar walmart watch. If anyone asks you for the time dont let them see the face. Good move wearing gloves; dont want to put those fingerprints on;and implicate yourself.
Many now come with automatic movements which have a smooth sweep.
Wrong! Higher end replicas have come with several options for about the past 2 decades. First is a replica with a swiss movement of the same base caliber as the gen, as in this case a genuine ETA 2824-2 could be used as a substitute for the Breitling caliber 17 as they're the same base movement. Second and more recently would be a swiss clone movement alternative, like a sellita swiss SW200 which is just a copy of the original ETA now that the patents have expired. Third would be an asian clone, 2824, or a2836. Some of the asian movements are actually damn good. None of them "tick" as you say, they're all sweeping second hand hacking movements with the same beats per hour. Only $50 garbage reps being sold out of the trunk of a car will have a $2 chinese quartz... And you obviously have zero knowledge of "Japan tick tick stop" movements. Seiko "Japanese" has been manufacturing sweeping second automatics just like the swiss since 1968... Hopefully that helped cure your ignorance.
@@LFM80 Would you be willing to tell me where I can buy a Superocean chrono or Colt chrono replica with a good automatic movement? Seems to be a sea of opinions on the matter.
@@bodeine454 Unfortunately I don’t have any recommendations for a rep dealer. At one time I was an avid collector and trader of Gen watches so I needed to become knowledgeable and intimately aware of the replicas available. I joined several rep forums, and used side by side comparisons as a reference. If you google replica watch forum, you’ll be pointed in several directions.
One of the best resources I found on those forums aside from the free exchange of knowledge to protect us Gen collectors were the fellas offering reluming and similar services-even movement service. They were a great affordable source for reluming any dial including Gen dials or custom projects. The savings on having custom work done for my projects and Gen refurbs was a pleasant byproduct. Best of luck with your search.
@@LFM80 I will look into that, thank you.
