- STEPN is a Move 2 Earn game building on Solana and really getting into the communities eyes and minds. It's a very basic start to the game, you move for 10 minutes a day with an NFT of a pair of sneakers, and you earn $GST every day!
Kicking off a new series where I will try to bring you small strategies in the game you can do, not all based around having lots of sneakers in game. I want to try to put out lots of information where you can work with 1-3 sneakers and use them for different strategies.
Today's video is on the zero/one mint flip strategy that I talk about in my Jogging with Barndog series with the public, every week on STEPN Discord, Grape Protocol Discord and Twitter.

Hi, "every other day", you mean the 40+hours ban right? So then it is possible, so that's like 3 mints per week, would take me 3 weeks to get another 9.. awesome oh, probably I also need external extra Sol, so I really need this self feeding strategy to earn Sol, to keep trading Sol for GMT to continue minting, would you happen to have a better strategy you could share?
@@yaesmucho yeah trade your Sol for gst. If you have 2 minting sets you can mint daily, but there is the 48 hour ban for any individual and new mint,

So let's say I have 3 common shoes all already 2 mints each. I mint one. Then do I level it to level 5 and use it to mint again with the other original common 2 mint shoe?
Then I breed the 1 mint and 0 mint together? Then sell the 2 mint and breed the 0 and 1 and just keep doing that?
want to check in on wether you're successfully doing this strategy because this is exactly what I'm thinking
I was thinking of doing the first mint with a friends shoe. What are the associated costs with transfering shoes, apart from the 48 hour cool down period? Is that a good way to increase the inventory without having to put 10+ solana down on a second shoe?

I've never heard of the Zero/One Mint Flip Strategy before... Very interesting indeed!
Now I'm sitting on 10 commons with a walker and a trainer at Lv 15 as my lead shoes.
My plan was to advance my trainer up the levels and I've just sent another 45 SOL to my Step'n account.
My plan was to trade for GST and mint my way up to more sneakers over a week or two. Would You recommend to fish for a uncommon that way instead of buying one?

the numbers in video help, you can see the mint cost vs the buy cost, I recently went to 30 sneakers and minted most of mine, and bought a cpl I wanted to mint from based on gem colours

Leveling up a new minted sneaker to level 5 to mint in future costs 1.4 solana now, I don't see the profit of minting commons anymore
Why is sol chain going down so much and the shoe prices arnt coming down that’s still up?
So why do you not want yellow and red in the same shoe?
Is this the best minting strategy? any else know another one? I will look at the video for the third time, and put attention, I need 8 more shoes, for another account, what's the fastest way, I just need 8 more shoes, please, this is almost like a guaranteed daily income... As i know efficiency and sneaker type is both impact to GST gain every energy
So I have a question. If i have a sneaker (Jogger) with 100 Efficiency and 40 durability. How much GST i gain every energy? Around 5 GST because of Jogger or 8 GST because it has 100 Efficiency.
the 5 GST/energy is your base level earnings, as you increase level and add mote efficiency, you will increase your earnings slightly.
@@solanagamingwithbarndog7348 I will assume my sneaker are at level 24, uncommon jogger. Is it possible to get 8 gst/energy (>100 efficiency). Or will it be just a little more than 5

how much it costs to mint 0/7 shoes common and uncommon?
So confused! Have they recently changed the mint costs? I'm trying to mint 2 commons to get my 3rd , both have 3/7 and it costs 200 gst + 200 gst (near 1400 usd). It seems cheaper just to buy a cheap third pair no? Feel like I'm majorly missing something!

Hi, I'm sorry but I'm trying to understand what is the strategy here? It is just minting two common shoes in the hope it will hit the 3%chance of getting an uncommon as a result?

I have a common runner in level 5 sneaker, I want to buy a common Jogger for my wife , with the aim of minting a new sneaker is it better to buy ad keep both in my account ? or is it possible and efficient in cost to buy in my wife account and then send to my account to mint new one?

Uncommon and common mint price i heard somewhere it's 500gst ?
minting: 100/each + 20/each for leveling up to lvl 5. That's 240GST
selling a 2 mint shoe is 9.7 SOL - 6% = 9.12 SOL, which is the same as 240 GST (aprox)
IS that math correct?
How would this work if I have 3 x common all with zero mints ?
One level 9 (which I don’t really want as someone added points in poor place). Other two are ok and level 5.

At 4:20 you say that you could mint 2 commons and get an uncommon. But in the whitepaper it says that if you mint 2 commons you have 100% getting a common sneaker. What am I missing? Thank you.
there is a 3% chance that the common shoebox you receive from minting will contain an uncommon shoe

Hi Thanks for the video, just to make sure I understood (not my native language), in terms of socket, if it has more than 1 x R, you sell it straight away, if there are 1 x C + 1 x E you sell it straight as well. So your are looking for 1 or more E (without C), or 1 or more C (without E). May I ask about Luck ones? For exemple one sneaker with 3 x L + 1 x R , should you sell it with zero mint? (hoping I am clear enough :) )
you are clear yes, english is good sir. yes, those are basic aims for me, I dont always aim to sell immediately, but I would prefer to have either straight Luck, Efficiency, or Comfort with up to 1 Resilience currently

@@Aggelito666 when I play a game, I break it down, the 0.5 is something that's commonly missed, or just glossed over by hpw we commonly do 1 session at a time, but an extra 20% for a new beginner could be huge

Thanks for the strategy! Most of it is clear, but I have a kind of conflict here:
In order to use the new Sneaker for a Mint, it needs to have Level 5.
But on the other side I don't have time to levelup some common sneakers as I focus my levellng activities on my main shoe?!
Do people this with a second wallet (TOS safe?) or do they just pause their main level activity for a while?
you need to work out your levellign and order yes - so it's 15 hours to get a sneaker to level 5, you could do that during the day, then level your main sneaker when going to bed etc etc

depends on what you price it at, usually floor price shoes move quickly

What do you recommend doing once you get an uncommon? So you end up having one uncommon and two commons
I have the same question. We have 49% chance to get an uncommon sneaker. So we should mint 2-3 times to get a second uncommon?

remember if you plan yo mint of each others sneakers, there's a 48 hour cooldown moving sneakers and it would remove Myster Boxes from your vault removing your energy

so is the zero/one mint strategy to sell the 1mint sneaker if you are not interested in it, then use those proceeds to do another mint? or do you sell 0 or 2 mints?
sp the concept is you sell the one that npw has 2 mints, meaning you're always paying 200 GST to rotate through, unless you get an actual upgrade or uncommon amd then adjust a mint to accomodate

@@salonicafans no mate, you should check the whitepaper, for sneakers 3-8 pairs = 4.0 energy, you would need an Uncommon to gain mote immediate energy or go to 9 to get more
