To answer a few of your questions, Opotiki is on the East Coast, in the Bay of Plenty. Our Police don't carry weapons, only tazers. The guys carrying are our Armed Defenders Unit, similar to your SWAT team. Our gangs here do what most gangs do, But a lot of them also give Back to the community. You need to look past the patch. What they failed to mention was the loss of police through the covid mandates. Many were forced to resign, due to not wanting to join the 'experiment'... we lost thousands. Yes is an issue .gang patches are intimidating to say the least. They are literally building another 1000 bed extension at one of our oldest prisons in NZ. Thats on top of 700 beds that have been added over the past 3years. 55% of the mens prison population are Maori. 80% of the women's prison are Māori. Prison system is a business and Māori are their main customer, thats the real agenda here.
