I gained a lot of respect for Violet in the last untucked. Ginger and Kennedy teamed up on Violet and Pearl and she handled it so well. I love when she said that drag was more about expression and not competition. It was awesome. I'll love this girl forever.

i think violet was staged as the mean girl, but when you actually watch it, it's always ginger (backed by kennedy) talking shit. violet's jabs on the show were more funny, ginger was pure evil sometimes.. especially when she confronts violet about it, just yelling at her face, i was like look in the mirror bitch. violet took it so well.
I know Ginger was like "you need to take drag seriously", but Drag is all about fun. I mean Trixie and Katya take the piss on Drag and thats what Drag is all about.
Violet is the most handsome out of drag and the most beautiful in drag. I absolutely adore her and her eye for fashion. Say what you want about her personality, but she's good to her fans and appreciates them. I think she was the perfect winner for season 7. She's the queen that will make it into the mainstream and take the fashion world by storm. Ru picked Violet for a reason. This transformation was fun! Violet is #Flawless

Well, I definitely disagree. BUT Violet/Jason is gorgeous... but the "most beautiful"... I do believe possibly the top 7.
But because "RuPaul picked her" doesn't necessarily mean that she was the ABSOLUTE BEST. She wasn't the most well-rounded queen.

But two snaps and a clap for Ms. Chachki, who is a VISIONARY and I do definitely believe that she/he WILL take the fashion industry by storm!
It just so happens that she/he stumbles and falters at other aspects. But most definitely a Master of one trade!
Every single DETAIL. Down to a toe nail, she/he is PRECISE. When it comes to fashion and a QUALITY look, she/he is absolutely wonderful at!
But Fame and Milk are the ones taking drag into the mainstream fashion world...but ok werk

Also a little commentary on misegendering:
Unintentional misgendering is not really an insult. I'm a construction worker and 99% of the people I come into contact with in my job think I am straight. Because of the job I do and the way I talk and act, the straight men I work with assume I'm heterosexual. And I have to clarify that ALL THE TIME when they realize I'm different....
They don't realize I am gay because culture has implanted what 'gay' is in their heads and i don't fit that AT ALL, superficially speaking. They wonder why I know about fashion etc. and the things I like are, well... gay.
While my sexuality is not relevant to my job,(nor is my gender for that matter) personal conversation comes up. Especially talk about women and sex... bro talk.
They will engage me and i have to say, "oh I'm gay" and they go "REALLY? WHAT?" and i have to say yep and we move on with our lives.
My point is this: although being mislabeled because of my appearance, these guys i work with are not insulting me. Is it annoying to have to come out to another straight college boy working for our company this summer? yes, but i handle it in stride. it's not an insult, just a cultural assumption. I think the same goes for genderqueer. Its hard to tell how a person who doesn't conform to the gender binary chooses to be labeled and although I respect them for who they are and need to be, I can't be held accountable if i misgender before that.

I actually kinda admire Violet's confidence when she says she wasn't surprised at winning. I thought a lot of her looks on the show were really well thought out and put together.
I'm very proud of Violet.. I understand that maybe she can sometimes come off as abrasive, but I think you also kinda need to understand that she gets a LOT of hate and maybe has built that wall for a reason. Like many people labeled "abrasive," Violet has other layers as well. Very talented, very sweet, and very beautiful.

I think it's refreshing to see someone confident and believing in themselves, in spite of past experiences and insecurities. It's a message of hope, really. It's a sharp contrast from watching someone allow their anxiety, fear, etc. bring them down and contribute to their failure.

I feel like this episode was much more time lapse than the others I want to actually see violet talking and doing the shit instead of 90% fast forward with just voice over... Or is this all in my head
When these episodes are mostly fast forwarding through, it means the person took forever doing the look. James has said people can take up to 3 hours doing these looks sometimes. Personally, I would be dead if I had to sit there for hours. You can see the look on James' face sometimes when they are doing something and stop to talk instead of talking and doing.
Zachary Fehr I'm in makeup school right now and we switch from artist to model. so I now know his pain of sitting there for 3 hours xD Idk how he stays so energetic

While the season was airing I was Team Ginger. I felt like she represented what a lot of "every day" people picture a drag queen to be. People who don't exactly know a whole lot about drag queens and their new age aesthetic. The biggest part of being a drag queen is to entertain and she can definitely do that. (Not better than Bianca of course. Never.) After the choice was made and Violet won, I was kinda surprised but she grows on you. Like a wart.

Oh, I didn't mean skill level, I meant more that the older club kids could probably deal with James falling into a K-hole or freaking out due to a bad trip and keep painting. The younger ones (not just Violet) get all flustered. I think it's also that they're all a bit more....sober? Than the 80s/90s scenes were. :)
It's actually incredibly inconsiderate to move around when someone's doing your hair or makeup. Most of the artists endure it here because it's James' show and that's just part of the gig. However, try sitting down with any hair or makeup artist and I promise they won't let you move.
Moreck Lechat agreed. I think it's fine to have him ask questions, as it's part of the show, but JSJ needs to learn to stay still and ask questions when there's a momentary lull...and not move his head. :)

They said in a past episode that there trying to get him on. The thing is jeffree isn't a drag queen. He's just Androgynous. He's a makeup artist & his skills are out of this world. But he's known for a look kind of like miss fames. Like its a very flawless glamour queen look. I think he mostly does girls makeup I mean idk this is what I feel. He does Androgynous style which is basically girl goddess looks.

Its not a matter of drag queen or not, they've had regular people on this show that aren't drag queens but popular makeup artists. That's what this show started with. I believe its a matter of Jeffree not really being apart of this community (drag race, world of wonder, ect.) Like, say, TS Madison and such. He does his own thing and I feel like he puts his nose up to doing stuff like this. I wish he would do this show though. Itd be sickening af. Everyone needs to ban together and start demanding him to come on
Zachary Fehr Jeffree is actually close with some of the queens (Miss Fame, Alyssa, Laganja...) and Michelle supports his makeup line as well. i think he is part of the community being he has shouted out Drag Race multiple times before. I just asked him on instagram about it today too. I do hope he is on it though. He is very sweet in person!
