Hell yea it did. I still remember my cousin having this game for the Gameboy and coming home from school being that 6 year old kid and getting lost in this game. As soon as you press the start button. You knew it was going be a good game once that sound track hit. They definitely knew what they was doing with the music compositions in this game
This is Christopher Belmont, Simon's great great great Grandfather. Soleil Belmont is his son in the sequel, Belmont's Revenge. After Soleil Belmont then comes Simon.
@@sakuracc8436 Yes, and as such he lost his powers, apparently Christopher had to face Dracula twice because the latter tried to possess Soleil's power. When Christopher beat his son, Soleil lost his powers and asked his father to beat Dracula.
Nice playthrough! I've tried to play this, but I just don't have the patience. Between the stiff, choppy controls, bad hit detection, and ridiculous obstacles you have to deal with, I honestly prefer the sequel Belmont's Revenge since it ironed out all the flaws of this one.
it always depends what you expect from it. if you want just a quick one time fun or a good castlevania game then adventure is definitely not a good choice. but if you are open enough to embrace some old school 80s arcade style magic but without the scam part and on the brand new portable gameboy system, then i can absolutely recommend this gorgeous masterpiece. (i only found this game in the 2019 castlevania collection and first i hated it too, like everyone says, but after a while i came to understand the game and now im the number 1 fan/player in the world! you can check my channel for proof that i hold all world records in this and still play it to this day. it's such a great game if you only judge it for what it actually is.)
Which game is worse? Castlevania The Adventure on Gameboy or the arcade game, Haunted Castle? Speaking of the latter, the western version was impossible, but the Japanese version is much more playable.
It may be meh, and Christopher's walking is so painfully slow. It did try some new things and concepts though. Plus, the music is great. Also the first Castlevania game for a portable.
This game sucks, one of the worst Castlevania games in the series, maybe even the worst. But at least the music is really good, it's a Castlevania tradition.
"What a terrible night to walk so slowly."
😂
LMAOOOOOOO😂😂😂😂😂
It controls terribly but it was my first Castlevania so I'll always have a soft spot for it. It will always be my miserable little pile of secrets.
So that's what a man is. That line is legendary. But enough talk! Have at you!
My very first Castlevania. Hard as hell but the music rocked

I also love the additional power up of the fireball shooting out of Simon’s whip.

@@EternalRoman wasn´t Christopher's son kidnapped by Dracula in the sequel right when he was going to inherit the Vampire Killer?

I wonder if that's where COTM got the idea for the project+Salamander card that effectively did the same thing
The huge rolling eyeball boulders were a great unique Castlevania enemy.
This Castlevania looks much better if you put the playback speed at 1.25 or 1.5.
I beat it earlier today but I really can't with the walking speed. It made everything so unnecessarily sluggish and painful
i never made it past the 3rd level. i sucked so bad at the timed jumping. Thanks for crushing this for me XD.
They use save states... They didn't crush anything.
I beat this once and the ending scene was classic and got me interested in the series
Christopher Belmont's in no hurry to stop Dracula, he knows he's just gonna sit in his throne until he shows up
One! One remade HD longplay! Ah ah ah!
Konami's Castlevania: The Adventure(TM)
May have aged like spoiled milk, but the music rocks.
Always sounded to me like the whip says "jefferson" when you attack

At 3:34 we all barely made it passed that .
Bro walks slower than I do 💀
The slow comments got me dead 😂😂😂😭😭😭
starter game when i grew up in the 80's and still plays game off and on. music is awesome
😜👌
The music is quite phenomenal! Screw it im gonna buy the cartridge to play it !
This is also available on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection.
Ugh I really wanted to play this … but I keep hearing over and over the game is slow as hell 😭😭😭 should I still play it ?? Music is phenomenal

None of them is as bad as people say. The worst are the Pachislot Arcade games
Always felt this was not nearly as bad as its reputation would suggest, but it's really rough.
So difficult, but good game
stage 3 is the Best
I really should ask Final Boss Games All Bosses to do your new video including the bosses !
ngl this game is for 90s kids only... if you're watching this vid and you're not a 90s kid pls get out of our space... ngl....
I struggled with a 30 minute game all my childhood?????
God what was i doing

Yes, this game is worse than it looks, terrible.
Sad, longplay should have originale GB colours. (greenish)
That is not correct - the original colors are black and white - the GB screen was just a terribly cheap screen that had a greenish tint!

Wait until you see how bad Castlevania Legends is .
