That mod was my first experience with an FF mod and was an amazing refresh to the FF12 mechanics, definitely felt like a sequel while being vanilla feeling. This mod sounds like the same thing for 10, inspires me to revisit the game again.

final fantasy 10 is my favourite game ever! I got a PS2 and this game for xmas back in 2001, I was 9 y.o back then and I had been watching a friend play FFVII so I was SUPER STOKED when I opened that gift! Funny thing was, I didn't get a memory card along with the PS, so I had to do "hardcore" runs until I either died or had to turn the console off xD Didn't take long until I started begging for a memory card and it solved itself in the end but, I could literally mimic the dialogue to the exact tone, and timing of EVERY npc and cutscene up until around the point where you leave Kilika after obtaining Ifrit! After that I've spent probably over 2-3k hours on replays in various forms like "x-character only" and the infamous "no sphere grid"-run. BEST. GAME. EVER! Can't wait to see you do this challenge run, even if I can replay a 100% run in my head it's always exciting seeing it being enjoyed in another way by someone else :)

Never commented before, but I felt the need to ask a question as I make my way through your FF14 playlist - do you have any plans to play FF16? I've played almost every FF, including 16, and I strongly think you'd enjoy a blind live playthrough of the story - the Eikons in 16 are truly epic! But either way, hope you can reply with a Yes/No (it'd be nice to have closure if you have no plans to do it 😂)

I enjoyed your FFX LP and still re watch it every now and then. It is good to hear that this mod lets your apply debuffs/CCs to bosses, I've always thought SE took the lazy way out in all their games by making bosses immune, including 14 (Ifirit hard use to be stunnable, which let you interrupt his eruption before they just made everything immune). Did playing poe2 give you the itch to go back to FFX though, since the passive skill tree was inspired by the sphere grid.
I played through FF16 recently, which was a very mixed experience with some great high points and some terrible low points. But it got me thinking about FFX and sent me down a rabbit hole, trying to put together why Final Fantasy hasn't been able to replicate a game anywhere near the quality of FFX since 2001. So it's entirely unexpected but also oddly fitting to see you coming back to a new playthrough! Can't wait to see what it has to offer!
